ep.204/アメリカ で スペイン語 生活

インスタグラム と Twitter で ご 報告 しました が 、

4989 、200回 記念 の ステッカー プレゼント 企画 、

アメリカ 国内 の 方 に は 、もう 届いて いる ようです 。

日本 を 含め 、その他 の 国 の 方 へ は 、もう 少し 、届く まで に 時間 が かかる と 思います が 、お待ち ください 。

そして 、今週 、この 1週間 で 回答 いただいた 方 は 、これ から お 送り します ので 、もう 少し お 待ち ください 。

改め まして 、アンケート に ご 協力 いただいた 皆さん 、

住所 を 書いて いただいた 方 も 、住所 未 記入 だった 方 も 、本当に ありがとう ございました 。

めっちゃ 褒めて もらえて 、

皆さん 結構 、私 の 声 が 聞きやすい って 言って くれる んです よね 。

私 の 声 、よく 通る ので 、

小さな 頃 から 、そして 大人 に なって も 、

声 が 大きい 、うるさい って 良く 言われて きました が 、

そんな 私 の 声 が 、皆さん に 聞きやすい と 喜んで もらえる なんて 、嬉しい です 。 ありがとう ございます 。

あと は 、4989 で 話して 欲しい テーマ や 、企画 の アイデア など も たくさん いただきました 。

一番 多かった の は 、ゲスト を 呼んで 欲しい って 声 です かね 。

ちょっと 考えて みたい と 思います 。

はい 、先週 1週間 の 私 の 生活 です が 、

って いう か 、もう 5月 じゃ ん 。

は やっ 。

こわっ。

先週 は 、次の 学期 、秋 学期 の クラス の レジストレーション が ありました 。 クラス の 登録 です ね 。

今回 という か 毎回 、この クラス 登録 の 前 に は 、カレッジ の カウンセラー と 話 を して 、どの クラス を 取る か 相談 を する んです が 、

今回 私 、新しい カウンセラー に 変えて 、その カウンセラー の 人 が すごく 良かった んです よ 。

次の 学期 、どんな クラス を 取る の かも 含めて 、その カウンセラー と の 話 に ついて も また シェア したい と 思います 。

あと は 、最近 できた 日本人 の お友達 と ランチ に 行きました 。

近く に 住んで いる 日本人 の お友達 グループ が ある んです が 、主に は 駐在 で こっち に 来て いる 家族 なんです けど 、

新しく 去年 引っ越して きた 家族 が いて 、そこ の 奥さん です ね 、と 、少し 前 に その お友達 グループ の 集まり で 会った んです よ 。

2回 くらい 会った んです が 、やっぱり みんな で 集まって いる と じっくり 話せ ない ので 、

女性 が ね 、大人数 集まる と 、会話 が 飛ぶ 飛ぶ 。

私 、みんな で ワイワイ 集まる の も 好きな んです けど ね 、

せっかく 出会った 新しい お 友達 だ し 、もっと 色々 お 話し を して 知りたい な 、仲良く なりたい なって 思って ランチ に 誘って 行って きました 。

やっぱり 人 と お喋り する の 楽しい な ーって 思いました し 、新しく 人 と 出会う と 、良い 刺激 を もらいます よ ね 。

今回 は ね 、その 友達 は 体 を 動かす の が 好き って 言って て 、

今度 ズンバ と かね 、ヨガ と か 、ダンス と か 、何か どっか 一緒に 体験 レッスン を 受けい に 行こう ！ と いう 話 に なりました 。

私 コロナ 以降 、ずっと 行って いた ね 、それ まで 行って いた ズンバ に 行か なく なっちゃって 、

体 が 鈍ってる な ー 、 太った な ー 、 重い な ーって 思って いた ので 、

良い 刺激 と いう か 、また アクティブ に 動き 始める 、良い きっかけ に なれば 嬉しい です 。

はい 、さて 、今回 の エピソード です が 、

スペイン 語 に ついて お 話し したい と 思います 。

そして 税金 、taxの 申告 が 終わった ので 、その お 話し も したい と 思います 。

★アメリカ で スペイン 語 生活

はい 、今日 は 英語 の 話 、ならぬ 、スペイン語 の 話 なんです 。

現在 、私 ジャパニーズレストラン で アルバイト を して いる んです けど 、

キッチン スタッフ と して 料理 を 作ったり 、プレップ で すね 下 準備 を したり とかしてる んです が 、

その キッチン スタッフ の 同僚 たち が 全員 スペイン 語 スピーカー な んです 。

本当に 、あれ 、なんで 私 ここ に いる の か なあ ?って 疑問 に 思う くらい 、スペイン 語 なんです よ 職場 が 。

あれ ここ アメリカ だ よ ね 、そして 、ここ 、日本 食 レストラン 、ジャパニーズレストラン だ よ ね 、と 混乱 する くらい 、

環境 が スペイン 語 です 。

スタッフ 同士 の やりとり は 完全に スペイン 語 で 、

そんな こと まで スペイン 語 な の ？ って ちょっと ツッコミ たく なる 位 、スペイン 語 です 。 全て 。

ま ぁ 、当たり前 っちゃ 当たり前 で 、

スペイン 語 の ネイティブスピーカ が 集まって 仕事 を している ので 、1番 スムーズな コミニケーション 方法 は スペイン語 に なります よね 、そりゃ 。

例えば 日本 人 の 奥さん たち だけ が 働いて いる イタリアンレストラン の キッチン が あった と して 、

そこ で の 会話 は 全部 日本語 に なります よね 。

そう 考えれば 当たり前 か 。

そりゃ 、そう です よね 、メキシカン の おばちゃん たち が 集まってます から ね 。

納得 って いう か 、当たり前 って いう か 、って 思う んです が 、

いや 、でも そんな 環境 に ポン と いきなり 入れられた 私 は どう する の ？ って 感じ じゃ ない です か ？

でも これ 、自分 、私 が 原因 な んです よ 。 たぶん 。

アルバイト の 面接 の 時 に 渡した 履歴書 に 、

1番 下 の language って 項目 で 、 English , Japanese (native )、で 、更に Spanish (beginner )って 書いた んです よ 。

せっかく だ から と 思って 。

私 今 学期 スペイン 語 の クラス を 取って います し ね 。 アピール できる もの は 書いて おこう って ね 。

で 、オーナー が 面接 して くれた んです けど 、

その 時 に 、「スペイン 語 話せる の ？ 」って 聞かれて 、

「いや 、ほんとに 少し です けど ね 。 学校 で スペイン 語 の クラス とってる んです よ 」って 話 を しました 。 そう いえば 。

でも 、クラス 取って るっ 言って も 、本当に 1番 初め の 初心者 が 受ける クラス な ので 、

簡単な 単語 と か 簡単な 挨拶 と か しか やら ない ような 、そんな レベル な んです けど 、

一応 履歴 書 に も 書いて おこう 、って 思って 書いた んです よ 。

で 、面接 でも 、「ま ぁ 、少し ですけど …」みたいな 感じ で 言った には 言いました よ 。

でも まさか 、ここ まで スペイン 語 環境 に ぶち 込まれ る と は 想像 して いなくて 。

キッチン で 1番 上 の ポジション の グリス さん は 、少し は 英語 を 話す ので 、必要 最低限 の コミュニケーション は 取れます 。

でも 基本 的な 単語 を 使った 短い 文章 で の 会話 のみ で 、複雑な やりとり は 難しい って 感じ で 、

あと もう 1人 、平日 に メイン で 入っている マルガリータ さん も 英語 、結構 話します ね 。

マルガリータ の 方 グリス より も 話せる の か な 。

ま ぁ 、この 2人 は 私 の 中 で は 一応 「英語 が 通じる 」同僚 な ので 質問 とか もし やすし 、コミュニケーション 取れる んです けど 、

その他 の キッチン スタッフ と 、あと ディッシュウォッシャー 、お 皿洗い の 男の子 が いる んです けど 、

もう 完全に 彼女 たち と 、その 彼 は 英語 を 全く 話さ なくて 、

本当に 全く 、限りなく Zero に 近い です 。

簡単な フレーズ と か 単語 とかも 英語 で 話してる の を 聞いた こと が なくて 、

サンキュー 、オーケー 位 か な 。 聞いた こと ある の は 。

野菜 と か お 肉 と か の 食材 の 名前 も スペイン語 で 、

鶏肉 、チキン は pollo だ し 、海老 、シュリンプ は camarón だ し 、

野菜 も ね 、勝手な イメージ で 、いや 、これ くらい 英語 で 呼ぶ でしょ って 感じる ような もの も 、

例えば 、にんじん 、キャロット は zanahoria 、マッシュルーム は champiñón 、オレンジ は naranja と か 。

なんか 、日本 と メキシコ と か 、あと スペイン 語 圏 って 、英語 に 対する 感覚 が 違う っていう の は 理解 している んです が 、

日本 で は 、結構 日常 生活 の 中 で 英 単語 を 耳 に したり 口 に したり する こと が 多い じゃない ですか 。

カタカナ 英語 です けど ね 。

今 話した ような 、チキン 、シュリンプ 、キャロット 、オレンジ とか 、その辺 の 単語 だったら みんな 知ってる イメージ な ので 、

こんな 食材 も 全部 スペイン語 で やりとり する の か ー 、

ちょっと ちょっと 待って くれよ 、ここ アメリカ だ ぜ ？

っと 、ちょっと 最初 戸惑いました 。

ま ぁ 、いやで も 、今 話し ながら 思いました が 、当たり前 か 。

日本 人 同士 でも 「キャロットケーキ 作ろう ！ 」と は 言います が 、

料理 を して いる 時 に 「あ 、ちょっと 冷蔵庫 から キャロット 取って 」と か 、「キャロット 細かく 切って ！ 」と は 言わ ないで す もん ね 。

「 ガーリックシュリンプ 食べた ー い 。」 と は 言います けど 、

「シュリンプ 解凍 し なきゃ ！ 」と か 「シュリンプ 洗って ！ 」と は 言いません よ ね 。

海老 解凍 し なきゃ 、海老 洗って 。 です よ ね 。

ま 、言って も 通じる し 、おかしく は ない けど 、

「シュリンプ 解凍 し なきゃ ！ 」って なんか ちょっと 、アメリカ かぶれ な 主婦 って 感じ じゃ ない です か 。

ちょっと 違和感 あります よ ね 。

そう 、だから もう 本当に 、メキシカン の おばちゃん 達 の 輪 に 入っちゃいました 状態 で 、

郷 に 入って は 郷 に 従え で ね 、

ここ は アメリカ と は いえ ど 、スペイン 語 環境 な 場所 と いう こと で 、

私 も 、その 流れ に 加わった と いう こと です ね 。

はい 。

もう 、たぶん 。 ずーっと 、うち の レストラン 、キッチン スタッフ は メキシカン の 人 たち で 構成 されて きた んだ と 思う んです よね 。

だから 、お 店 全体 に 「キッチン に 関わる こと は スペイン 語 で 。」 みたいな 雰囲気 が あって 、

例えば 接客 を する サーバー の 若い 子 たち は 、バイリンガル の 子 たち が ほとんど で 、

もちろん サーバー 同士 の やりとり と か 、接客 は 普通に 英語 です けど 、キッチン の おばちゃん たち に は スペイン 語 で 話して いる んです よね 。

何 か 込み入った 事 を キッチン の 同僚 に 私 が 伝え なければ ならない 時 と か は 、

バイリンガル の 子 たち に 通訳 を お願い したり も する 事 も あって 助けて もらいます が 、

営業 中 、基本的に は 私 も スペイン語 で コミュニケーション を 取ろう と 頑張って います 。

ま ぁ スペイン 語 と 英語 が 混ざった スパングリッシュ って 感じ です けど ね 。

例えば 、店内 で 食べる プラス 、テイクアウト とか Uber eats とか の デリバリー の オーダー が たくさん 入る んです が 、

注文 が 入った 時 に 、キッチンスタッフ 同士 で 、もしくは サーバー の 子 が 「この 注文 急ぎ で お 願い します ！ 」みたいな 時 に 、

例えば 「 チキン 照り焼き 、 for here （ 店 内 飲食 ） please 」「 チキン 照り焼き 、 to go ( テイクアウト ） please 」 と か の 、

「forhere「togo」も 、スペイン 語 なんです 。

「chicken teriyaki para aquí , por favor 」「chickenteriyakipara llevar ,porfa 」

毎日 の ように 言って る ので 、もう めっちゃ 慣れました けど ね 。

そういう の も スペイン 語 だ し 、

あと 間違え ない ように 気 を つけ なければ ならない の が 、数字 も スペイン 語 な んです よ 。

twoチキン 照り焼き ！ では なくて 、dos チキン 照り焼き ！ だし 、

料理 や 作業 を して いる 中 で の 指示 を も らう 数字 も スペイン 語 な ので 、

「チキン を 何 枚 焼いて 」と かも だし 、

ご飯 、ジャパニーズレストラン な ので 毎日 お米 を たくさん 炊く んです けど 、

ご飯 を 炊く のに 、特殊な 大きな 計量カップ を 使って いて 、その 目盛り の 数 で 炊く 量 を 指示 される んです が 、

「 ライス 4 お 願い ー 」 と か 、「 ライス 5 お 願い ー 」 みたいな 感じ で 。

で 、 もちろん 、 ライス も スペイン語 な ので 、 数 も スペイン語 で 、

「 cuatro arroz por favor 」 「 necesitamos mas arroz , cinco por favor 」 みたいな 。

めっちゃ スペイン 語 使って る でしょ 、私 。

数 ね 、間違えちゃう と トラブル に なっちゃう から 、

数 は ちゃんと 聞き取って 混乱 し ない ように って 、気 を つけてます 。

微妙な 時 は 、周り に 、cuatro だよね 、cinco だよね 、みたいな 感じ で ダブル チェック している 日々 です 。

こう 、 スペイン語 ばっかり の 環境 で 大変な ん です ーーーーって 、 不満 を 話して いる よう に 聞こえる かも しれません が 、

今 の ところ 、この スペイン 語 環境 は 楽しめて います 。

よく 話して います が 、私 が 住んで いる エリア は メキシコ や その 周辺 の 国 から の 移民 が とても 多くて 、スペイン 語 を 話す 人 が たくさん いる んです よね 。

カリフォルニア 州 全体 で とても 多い んです けど 。

だから 元々 、スペイン 語 で 日常 生活 の コミュニケーション が 取れる くらい は 話せる ように なりたい なぁ って 思っていた ので 、

この 職場 環境 は 予想 して い なかった ので 初め は 戸惑いました が 、

スペイン 語 スピーカー が 多く いる エリア に 住んで いる から といって 、毎日 のように 話す 機会 が ある か といえば そうで はない ので 、

こう やって 強制的に 、話さざるを得ない 、聞かざるを得ない 環境 の 中に 入る こと で 、

少しずつ です けど ね 、理解 できる こと が 増えて いって 、楽しい です 。

特に 今 学期 は スペイン 語 の クラス も とって います し ね 、

授業 で 習った こと を 、その 日 の うち に 練習 できます から ね 、ネイティブスピーカー と 。

すごく 恵まれた 環境 じゃ ないで すか ？

まだまだ 目標 と する 日常 会話 が できる くらい に なる に は 程遠い です が 、

この スペイン 語 に どっぷり 使って いる アルバイト の おかげ で 、明らかに 私 の スペイン 語 は 上達 して いる と 思います 。

で ね 、自分 で 言う の も あれ です けど 、私 、なかなか 上手く やって る と 思う の よ ね 。

仕事 も そつ なく こなせてる と 思います し 、

英語 が 少し 話せる グリス さん 、マルガリータ さん は もちろん 、スペイン 語 オンリー の スタッフ と も コミュニケーション 積極的に 取って 、

結構 ね 、私 、頑張ってる と 思う 。

でも 、 やっぱり 大変だ な ー と いう か 、 ストレス を 感じる と いう か 、 もどかしい 、 と 感じる こと も たくさん あって 、

例えば 週末 、金曜日 土曜日 って お店 が すごく 忙しく なる んです が 、

そい う いう 忙しい 時 は 、バタバタ して くる と グリス さん が 色々 みんな に 指示 を 出して 、その 指示 に したがって 皆 ん な が バーーーーって 動く んです が 、

やっぱり そういう 時 は 、もっと スムーズに 色々 お互い 会話 が できれば な ー とも 思います し 、

あと は 普段 一緒に 働いて いる ベスト メンバー と いう か 、なんて いうんですかね 、働き慣れた メンバー での シフト の 時 は 、全く 問題 ない んです が 、

誰 か が 休んで 、その カバー で 普段 と は 別の メンバー の 組み合わせ で 働く 時 と か 、

いつも の 阿 吽 の 呼吸 、ツーカー で 、私 は これ を する から 、あなた は これ を やって 、みたいな 、

これ は どの 職場 でも そう だ と 思う んです けど 、

言葉 が 通じ ない と 更に 難しくて 、

ちょっと した 確認 とか 、相談 とか が でき なかったり して 、ちょっと ストレス です ね 。

でも そこ で ね 、こういう 事 を 聞きたい 、こんな 事 を 相談 したい 、でも 上手く 伝えられない ！ みたいな こと が 出て きたら 、

それ を どう やって スペイン 語 で 言う かって 調べて 、

で 、実際 に 使う ように すれば 、また 私 の スペイン語 力 上がっちゃいます から ね 。

ピンチ は チャンス ！

「 大変だ ー 」って いう 状況 を 上手く 使って 、 スペイン語 力 、 上げて いきたい と 思います 。

あと はね ー 、 あれ です よ 。

何 か 面白い 出来事 が 起こって も 、私 に は 何 が なんだか わからない って こと が 多い の が 、ちょっと 寂しい です 。

例えば 、サーバー の 女の子 たち が 、ちょっと 言い合い って いう か 、喧嘩 って いう か 、そういう の してて 、

で 、何 が あった の ？ 何 ？ 何 ？ 何 ？ みたいな 。

その サーバー の 子 たち が キッチン に 来て 、グリス さん と か に 、

「誰 々 が こー で 、あー で 、なに してて 、すごく ムカつく ー 」と か 、

「誰 々 が こー で 、あー で 、本当に あり得ない ！ 」 みたいな 、

何 か そんな 楽しそうな 話 を してる んです けど 、

全部 スペイン 語 で 説明 して いる んで 、私 は 全然 わから ない わけです よ 。

私 だけ 、「え 、なに なに ？ 」「何 が あった の ？ 」って

聞きたい 聞きたい ！ 教えて 教えて ！ って 状態 で 、

私 だけ 付いて いけて ない 事 が 多々 ある んです 。

で 、一通り みんな の 話 が スペイン語 で 終わった 頃 に は 、サーバー の 子たち は 自分 の 仕事 に 戻って いく ので 、

「どうした の ？ どうした の ？ 」って 英語 で 聞く 時間 も ない し 、

キッチン の おばちゃん 達 に 「何 が あった の ？ Quépaso?Quépaso?」って 聞いて も 流さ れる し 、

って 、なります 。

あと は 、仕事 の 面 でも 、最低限 の 私 が すべき 事 は 理解 してます し 、

周り と の コミュニケーション を とり つつ できて います が 、

例えば 、誰 が 今日 少し 遅れて くる とか 、誰 が 今日 少し 早めに 上がる とか 、

家族 の こういう 用事 が あって ー とか 、

誰 が 別で 新しい 仕事 を 始めた から 、その 関係 で ちょっと シフト 時間 に 影響 が ある ー とか 、

ま ぁ 、直接 私 個人 に 関係 する か といえば 、別に 関係ない んです けど 、

みんな が 知って る 周知 の 事 を 私 だけ 知らない って 事 が よく あります 。

「あれ 、誰 々 今日 どうした の ？ まだ 来て ない ね 。」 って 聞く と

「あ 、今日 休み だ よ 。」 と か 、

「あれ 、ここ 数 日 誰 々 来て ない ね 。」 って 聞く と 、

「 あ 、 誰 々 なら 辞めた よ 」 みたいな 。

あ 、そう なんだ 。 ふ ー ん 。 って 。

い いっちゃ ー いい ん です けど 、

ちょっと 寂しい なぁ と 思う こと も あります 。

はい 、と いう こと で 、

今日 は アメリカ で スペイン 語 生活 を して いる 話 でした 。

本当に まだまだ 単語 ポツポツ と 言える くらい な ので 、

もう ちょっと 会話 が できる くらい に は なりたい な ー 。 と 思います ね 。

また 経過 報告 させて ください 。

スペイン 語 頑張ります 。

★Tax

アメリカ も 日本 と 同じ で 、2月 3月 4月 という の は 確定 申告 の 、 Tax シーズン でした 。

日本 の 確定 申告 は 3月 15日 とか ですか ね 。 確か 。 ちょっと 詳しく ない です けど 。

今年 の tax の ファイリング を 通して 、少し 、アメリカ に 住む 大人 として 、一歩 成長 した な と 思えた ので 少し お話し したい と 思います 。

まず アメリカ は 、会社 員 であっても 、全員 自分 で 、個人 で 申告 を する 必要 が あります 。

日本 で は 会社員 であれば 、年末 調整 を 会社側 が やって くれます よね 。

アメリカ で は 、会社 から は 去年 1年間 、お 給料 を いくら 払いました よ 、と か 、源泉 徴収 は 合計 いくら でした よ 、みたいな の が 書かれて いる 紙 を 会社 側 から もらう だけ で 、

申告 自体 は 自分 で する 必要 が あります 。

会計士 とか 、あと は tax 専用 の 業者 の ところ に 行って 申告 を したり 、

人 に 頼ま ず に 自分 で オンライン の ツール を 使って 申告 する こと も できます 。

我が家 は 、これ まで 夫 は ずっと 就労 ビザ で 働いて いて 、私 の 配偶者 ビザ で は 働く 事 が できなかった ので 、

私 は ま ぁた だの 主婦 、そして 学生 と いう ステータス と いう 状況 で 、

それ でも 夫婦 一緒に まとめて 、私 の 名前 も 含めて 納税 は する 必要 が あって 、

アメリカ に 来て 、これ まで は 旦那さん が 毎年 全部 税金 関係 を やって くれて いました 。

私 は 本当に 何も して い なくて 、

旦那 さん に 聞かれて 、ガレッジ の 授業 料 と か を 答えたり 、書類 を 渡したり する 程度 で 、

一体 何 を 入力 して いる の か とか 、何 が 必要な の か とか 、そういう 税金 に 関する 専門 用語 も 全く 知りません でした 。

なんなら 、日本語 でも ね 、全然 知らない んです けど 。

日本 で 自分 で 税金 に ついて 細かく 考えた こと ない ですし ね 。

ま ぁ でも 、去年 夏 に 我々 夫婦 、グリーンカード 永住権 を 取得 し まして 、

私 も 晴れて 働く 事 が できる ように なり 、収入 が 発生 して です ね 、

それ と 同時に 、一応 カレッジ で ビジネス を 専攻している という 身 として 、立場上 、

「今年 は 私 が 申告 の ファイリング する よ ！ 」と 旦那さん に 宣言 を し 、私 が 一通り の 作業 を 行いました 。

以前 年明け です ね 、この ポッドキャスト で お 話し した んです が 、

元々 、ここ から 先 は 私 が 我が家 の 税金 担当 に なれる ように 、ちょっと 頑張りたい な と 思って いまして 、

Taxファイリングサポートプログラム みたいな の が 全米 各地 に ある んです が 、

主に は 低 所得 者 向け の 、「無料 の 申告 手伝います よ サービス 」みたいな やつ です 。

その ボランティア 募集 の 情報 を 見て 、ちょっと 挑戦 して みよう と 思って 、

その Tax ファイリングサポート の ボランティア に なる ため の トレーニング を 受けました 。

結果 として は 、これ も お 話し した んです が 、

今 の 私 に は 難し すぎて 、tax の 基本的な 事 も 全然 わかって ない し 、しかも 英語 で パッパラパー だ し 、

人様 の 税金 の 申告 を 助けられる レベル に は 到底 なれない と 思い 、

ギブアップ して 挫折 ししました 。

でも 、その 少し 受けた トレーニング で 多く の 事 を 勉強 できて 、

オンライン の ツール を 使った んです が 、質問 内容 を 見て 、あ 、トレーニング で 出てきた やつ だって 理解 する 事 が できました し 、

税金 の 申告 って 、もちろん 、国 に 所得 に 対して の 税金 を 納める 目的 です が 、

それ と 同時に 国 から もらえる 補助金 を しっかり 申請して 受け取る って いう 事 も 大きな 目的 な んです よね 。

なんか そういう 事 も トレーニング で 勉強 して いた おかげ で 知っていた ので 、

これ は どう だった か な 、って 事 を 確認 し ながら 進める 事 が できた ので 良かった と 思います 。

例えば 私 みたいな オバちゃん であっても 、カレッジ で 勉強 していれば 授業料 は 控除対象 だったり 、

コロナ の パンデミック に よって 、州 から 補助金 が 何回 か に 分けて 各 家庭 に 配られた んです が 、

その 貰い 損ね が あれば 、この tax の 申告 に よって 、しっかり と もらう 事 が できます し 、

私 たち 夫婦 に は 関係 ありません が 、子供 が いれば 、1人 に つき いくら って 補助金 が もらえる ように なって います 。

そういった 色々な 事 が あります ね 。

そういう 控除 や クレジット に ついて も 、その ボランティア の トレーニング で 勉強 して いた ので 、

その ボランティア プログラム に 挑戦 した こと は 無駄で は なかった し 、

すごく 今回 の 申告 に 役 に 立ちました 。

と いう こと で 、基本 私 が 全部 入力 して 、念のため 旦那さん に も 一緒に 初めから 一通り 確認 を して もらって 、

あー 、 やった ー 申告 できた ー ！ って 喜んで いた んです けど 、

そこ から ね 、2日 ぐらい 問題 解決 の ため に スタック しました 。

今回 、その 最後 の 最後 で つまづいていた 原因 と いう の が 、

私 、今回 が Social Security Number を 取得 して から 、初めて の tax 申請 、申告 だった という こと です 。

アメリカ 以外 に お 住まい の 方 に は 聞き 馴染み が ない と 思います が 、

アメリカ で 働く に は Social Security Number と いう 、個人 に 与えられた 番号 が あって 、税金 とかも その 番号 で 管理 して います 。

グリーン カード を 取得 する 前 まで は 、私 は Social Security Number を 持って いなかった んです が 、

私 も 、これ まで は ずっと その TaxID だった んです けど 、それ が 今回 の 申告 から Social Security Number の 切り替わる って いう 状況 でした 。

要は 、私 に 紐づいている 番号 が 新しく なる って いう こと だった んです が 、

申告 する 際 の 項目 で 、

去年 も 同じ ように 夫婦 まとめて 一緒に ファイリング しました か ？ と か 、

去年 の 収入 は いくら でした か ー みたいな 、

そんな 質問 と いう か 、項目 が あった んです けど 、

そこ が 間違ってます 。 みたいな 、

情報 と 一致 しません 。 みたいな エラー で reject さ れちゃって 、

番号 が TaxID から Social Security Number に 変わった ので 、それ を 認識 できて いなくて エラー に なってた みたいな んです けど 、

インターネット で 対処法 を 探して も イマイチ 、ピンポイント で 全く 同じ 状況 の 人 が いなくて 、

私 の 状況 は 、

他の 国 から アメリカ に 移民 して きて 、最初 は 就労 許可 も なくて 、働く 事 が でき ない ビザ の ステータス で は あった けど 、

と 、ま ぁね 、こういう 状況 だった んです けど 、

あんまり いない んです か ね 、こういう ケース 。

日本語 でも 英語 でも ググった んです が 、はっきり と した 情報 が 見つからなかった です 。

で 、我が家 が 使っている オンライン tax 申告 ツール の チャットサポート が あった ので 、そこ で 質問 を しました 。

でも ね 、チャットサポート って 担当 の 人 に よって 知識 量 も 違う し 、

そもそも チャットサポート の 担当者 は 基本的に は 別に めっちゃ 知識 経験 が ある tax スペシャリスト とか で は ない ので 、

マニュアル 通り の 回答 しか くれ ない んです よね 。

だから 今回 も 私 が 状況 を 説明 して 、

あんまり 有効な 回答 が 得られ なくて 、

何度 か 入力 の 仕方 を 変えて 申告 の 提出 を した みた んです が 、やっぱり reject で すぐ エラー で 戻ってきて しまって 、

何 回 か チャットサポート に 連絡 を して その 時々 の 状況 、試した 事 とかも 含めて 説明 して 対処法 を 聞いて いたら 、

一番 最後 の 担当者 の 人 は すごく 丁寧な 対応 して くれる 人 で 、

チャット を つないで いる 状態 で ひと 画面 ずつ 確認 し ながら 一緒に 進んで くれて 、

で 、最終的に reject さ れ る 事 なく 、申告 を 完了 する 事 が できました 。

もう 既に 連邦 政府 、Frderalのリターンも、州政府、stateのリターンも銀行口座に無事入金されました。
