A Farmer was ploughing one day on his farm when he turned up a pot of golden coins with his plough.
Un jour, alors qu'il labourait dans sa ferme, un fermier a découvert un pot de pièces d'or avec sa charrue.
He was overjoyed at his discovery, and from that time forth made an offering daily at the shrine of the Goddess of the Earth.
Il fut ravi de sa découverte et, à partir de ce moment-là, il fit une offrande quotidienne au sanctuaire de la déesse de la terre.
他对自己的发现欣喜若狂，从那时起，他每天都会向大地女神的神殿献祭。
Fortune was displeased at this, and came to him and said, "My man, why do you give Earth the credit for the gift which I bestowed upon you?
La Fortune, mécontente, s'approcha de lui et lui dit : "Mon homme, pourquoi donnes-tu à la Terre le mérite du don que je t'ai fait ?
You never thought of thanking me for your good luck; but should you be unlucky enough to lose what you have gained I know very well that I, Fortune, should then come in for all the blame."
