وذات مرة كان الذئب مسترخيا قرب النهر |once|||relaxing|near|the river Once upon a time the wolf was relaxing by the river Однажды волк отдыхал возле реки

بعد أن تعب من البحث عن وجبة طعام، و صار يفكر يائسا ||tired||||||||thinking|in despair After getting tired of looking for a meal, and thinking desperately אחרי שנמאס לו לחפש ארוחה, הוא התחיל לחשוב נואש

إني أتقدم في العمر، و مع مرور الأيام يصبح الصيد أكثر صعوبة |I am aging||age|||the passing of|the days|becomes|hunting||difficulty I'm getting older, and as the days go by, fishing becomes more and more difficult אני מתבגר, וככל שחולפים ימים, הדיג הופך להיות קשה יותר

و عندما أضحى قريبا من المرعى شاهد قطيعا من الخراف ||became|close||pasture|saw|a flock||sheep And when he became close to the pasture, he saw a flock of sheep כשהיה קרוב למרעה, ראה עדר כבשים

و كان بئر عند طرف المرعى |||at|edge|pasture And there was a well at the edge of the pasture

فتسلل الذئب و اختبأ خلفه، و قال في نفسه the wolf sneaked|||hid|behind him|||| So the wolf crept up and hid behind him, and said to himself:

سأبقى مختبئا هنا، و عندما يمر أحد الخراف، سوف أمسكه و آكله I will stay|hiding||||||the sheep||I will catch||eat it I'll keep hiding here, and when a sheep passes by, I'll grab it and eat it

و ظل الذئب هادئا ينتظر الفرصة المناسبة لتنفيذ خطته |remained||calm|waiting|the opportunity|suitable opportunity|to execute|his plan And the wolf remained calm, waiting for the right opportunity to implement his plan הזאב נשאר רגוע, מחכה להזדמנות המתאימה ליישם את תוכניתו

و بعد قليل ابتعد خروف صغير عن القطيع، و أصبح قريبا من البئر |||moved away|a small sheep|small||the herd|||near||the well After a while, a little sheep moved away from the herd, and became close to the well לאחר זמן מה, כבשה קטנה התרחקה מהעדר והתקרבה לבאר

و في لحظة واحدة وثب الذئب عليه و أمسكه بمخالبه الحادة ||moment||leaped||||caught him|with his claws|sharp claws And in one moment the wolf jumped on him and grabbed him with his sharp claws ברגע אחד קפץ עליו הזאב ותפס אותו בציפורניו החדות

ثم سحبه خلف شجرة كبيرة و أكله قطعة قطعة حتى أحس بالشبع |pulled it||a tree|big||ate it|piece by piece|piece by piece||felt|fullness Then he pulled it behind a big tree and ate it piece by piece until he felt full אחר כך הוא גרר אותו מאחורי עץ גדול ואכל אותו חלק אחר חלק עד שהרגיש שבע

و بعد أن انتهى الذئب من وجبته لم يبقى من الخروف شيء سوى جلده ||||||meal||remained||the sheep||except for|its skin And after the wolf finished his meal, there was nothing left of the sheep but its skin לאחר שהזאב סיים את ארוחתו, לא נשאר דבר מהכבשה מלבד עורה

فقال الذئب لنفسه: صار الوقت مناسبا لتنفيذ الخطة |the wolf|to himself|||suitable||the plan The wolf said to himself: It is time to implement the plan אמר לעצמו הזאב: הגיע הזמן ליישם את התוכנית

ووضع الجلد على جسمه كي يبدو مثل الخروف فلا يميزه أحد he put|skin|||so that||like|sheep|so that|recognize| And he put the skin on his body so that he looks like a sheep, so that no one can distinguish him הוא שם את העור על גופו כדי שיראה כמו כבשה כדי שאף אחד לא יזהה אותו

ثم تسلل بهدوء حتى وصل إلى القطيع و اندس الى الخراف |crept|quietly||he reached||||mixed in||the sheep Then he crept quietly until he reached the herd and slipped into the sheep

و عندما رآه أحد الخراف سأله: أين ذهبت أيها الصغير؟ هل كنت تائهاً؟ ||he saw|||||you went|you|little|||lost And when one of the sheep saw him, he asked him: Where did you go, little one? Were you lost? כשראה אותו אחד הכבשים, הוא שאל אותו: לאן הלכת, קטן? הלכתי לאיבוד?

أجابه الذئب مقلدا صوت الخروف answered him|the wolf|imitating|voice|the sheep The wolf answered, imitating the sheep's voice

ذهبت لألعب قرب البئر |to play|near|the well I went to play near the well

فقال الخروف: لا تبعد عن القطيع مرة أخرى، فلا يزال خطر الذئاب قريبا said|the sheep||stay away|||again|again|so||danger|the wolves|near The sheep said: Do not stay away from the herd again, the danger of the wolves is still close

فكان يعيش بين الخراف و يذهب إلى المرعى معهم و كأنه واحد منهم ||||||||||like|| He used to live among the sheep and go to the pasture with them as if he was one of them הוא חי בין הכבשים והלך איתם למרעה כאילו הוא אחד מהם

و كان سعيدا في حياته الجديدة لأن المكان مريح و الطعام وفير ||||||||comfortable||| And he was happy in his new life because the place is comfortable and the food is plentiful הוא היה מאושר בחייו החדשים כי המקום היה נוח והאוכל היה בשפע

و لم يعرف الراعي شيئا عن حيلة الذئب و لم يميزه بين الخراف و مر أسبوع و أسبوعان |||the shepherd|anything|||||||||||||two weeks And the shepherd did not know anything about the trick of the wolf, nor did he distinguish between the sheep, and a week and two weeks passed הרועה לא ידע דבר על הטריק של הזאב ולא הבחין בו בין הכבשים.חלף שבוע או שבועיים

و لاحظ الراعي أن عدد الخراف أصبح يتناقص كل يوم |note||||||decreasing|| And the shepherd noticed that the number of sheep was decreasing every day הרועה שם לב שמספר הכבשים הולך ופוחת מדי יום

فقال لزوجته مستغربا: أين تختفي الخراف، و أنا أراقبها جيدا؟ |to his wife|in surprise||are hiding||||I watch it| Surprisingly, he said to his wife: Where do the sheep hide, while I am watching them well? אמר לאשתו בהפתעה: היכן מסתתרים הכבשים, בעוד אני צופה בהם היטב?

و أصبحت كلاب الحراسة أكثر انتباها في المرعى ||guard dogs|guard dogs||alert|| And guard dogs are becoming more attentive in the pasture כלבי השמירה נעשו עירניים יותר במרעה

و لكن عدد القطيع استمر بالتناقص |||||decreasing But the number of the herd kept decreasing אבל מספר העדר המשיך לרדת

و لم يكن أحد يدري أن الخطر ليس في المرعى بل في الحظيرة نفسها ||||knows||danger||||||| And no one knew that the danger was not in the pasture, but in the barn itself איש לא ידע שהסכנה אינה במרעה, אלא ברפת עצמה

و هكذا كان الذئب يختبئ في الحظيرة و ينتظر حلول الليل ||||hiding|||||the arrival of| And so the wolf was hiding in the barn and waiting for nightfall אז הזאב התחבא ברפת וחיכה לרדת הלילה

و بعد أن ينام الجميع يختار خروفا صغيرا |||||chooses|a small sheep| And after everyone sleeps, he picks a little sheep אחרי שכולם הולכים לישון, הוא בוחר כבשה קטנה

و يأخذه بسرعة خلف الجدار ليأكله |he takes it|||the wall|to eat it He quickly takes it behind the wall to eat it הוא לוקח אותו במהירות מאחורי הקיר כדי לאכול אותו

ثم يرمي البقايا في حفرة عميقة و يعود للنوم بين القطيع |throws|the remains||a pit|deep hole||||| Then he throws the remains into a deep pit and returns to sleep among the herd

و مع هذه الوفرة في الطعام أصبح الذئب العجوز سمينا |||abundance||||||fat With this abundance of food, the old wolf became fat עם שפע האוכל הזה, הזאב הזקן הפך לשמן

لدرجة أنه يبدو أسمن خروف في القطيع to the point|||the fattest||| So much so that it looks like the fattest sheep in the herd

و ذات يوم جاء أقرباء الراعي من القرية البعيدة لزيارته ||||relatives|||||to visit him One day, the shepherd's relatives came from the far village to visit him יום אחד באו לבקרו קרובי הרועה מהכפר הרחוק

و كان الراعي كريما فقال لزوجته: سوف نقيم وليمة لإكرام ضيوفنا |||generous||||we will hold|feast|to honor|our guests And the shepherd was generous and said to his wife: We will hold a feast to honor our guests הרועה היה נדיב ואמר לאשתו: נערוך סעודה לכבוד אורחינו

و كانت زوجته كريمة أيضا فقالت له |||Karima||| His wife was also generous and told him

اذهب و أحضر خروفا سمينا كي نطبخه ||||||we cook it Go get a fat sheep so we can cook it לך ותביא לנו כבשה שמנה לבשל

و لم ينتظر الراعي بل أسرع إلى الحظيرة و اختار أسمن خروف من القطيع |||||hurried||||chose|||| And the shepherd did not wait, but hurried to the barn and chose the fattest sheep from the flock הרועה לא חיכה, אלא מיהר לרפת ובחר את הכבשה השמנה ביותר מהעדר

و اقتاد الراعي الخروف إلى ساحة المزرعة |led||||yard|the farm And the shepherd led the sheep to the farm yard

فخاف الذئب و حاول أن يهرب، و رمى جلد الخروف عن جسمه |||||escape|||||| The wolf was afraid and tried to escape, and threw the sheep's skin off his body הזאב פחד וניסה להימלט, והשליך את עור הכבשה מגופו

فاكتشف الر اعي الحيلة الخبيثة، و أدرك سبب اختفاء الخراف he discovered|the|shepherd||malicious trick||realized||the sheep| The shepherd discovered the malicious trick, and realized the reason for the disappearance of the sheep

فأسرع الراعي بسكينه وضرب الذئب ضربة قوية فقتله و ارتاح من شره ||with his knife|struck||a strong blow||and killed it||relieved from|| So the shepherd hurried with his knife and struck the wolf with a strong blow, killing him and resting from its evil הרועה השתמש במהירות בסכין שלו והיכה את הזאב במכה חזקה, הרג אותו והשתחרר מרועו.

ثم عاد ليذبح خروفا لضيوفه ||to slaughter||for his guests Then he came back to slaughter a sheep for his guests אחר כך חזר לשחוט כבשה לאורחיו

ولما انتهى من ذلك عاد إلى أقربائه و حكى لهم هذه القصة العجيبة ||||||||he told|||| And when he finished, he went back to his relatives and told them this amazing story

فضحكوا جميعا وأكلوا الوليمة وانتهت الحكاية they laughed||they ate|the feast|the story ended|the story They all laughed and ate the feast, and the story ended

وتعلموا منها أن يزدادوا حذرا من مكر الذئاب |||become more|cautious||the cunning| And they learned from her to be more wary of the deception of wolves הם למדו מזה להיזהר יותר מהערמומיות של הזאבים

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: المكر والخديعة في النار" The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Deception and deception are in Hell.
