**3** μακάριος ὁ ἀναγινώσκων, καὶ οἱ ἀκούοντες τοὺς λόγους τῆς προφητείας καὶ τηροῦντες τὰ ἐν αὐτῇ γεγραμμένα· ὁ γὰρ καιρὸς ἐγγύς. blessed||reading||those|those who hear|the||of the|prophecy||keeping|the things||it|written||for|time|near 3 Blessed is he that recollecteth, and they that hear the words of the prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 3 听这预言的人和那些听了预言又遵守其中所记载的人有福了，因为时候近了。

**4** ¶ Ἰωάννης ταῖς ἑπτὰ ἐκκλησίαις ταῖς ἐν τῇ Ἀσίᾳ· χάρις ὑμῖν καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ τοῦ ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἦν καὶ ὁ ἐρχόμενος· καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἑπτὰ πνευμάτων ἅ ἐστιν ἐνώπιον τοῦ θρόνου αὐτοῦ· John|the|seven|churches|||the|Asia|grace|to you||peace|from|||the one who is||the|the one who was|||the coming|||the||spirits|which|that are|before||throne| 4 John to the seven churches in Asia: grace to you and peace from him who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven spirits who are before his throne; 4 约翰写信给亚细亚的七个教会：愿恩惠与平安从昔在、今在、永在的主，并从他宝座前的七灵归与你们。

**5** καὶ ἀπὸ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ὁ μάρτυς ὁ πιστός, ὁ πρωτότοκος ἐκ τῶν νεκρῶν, καὶ ὁ ἄρχων τῶν βασιλέων τῆς γῆς. |||||witness||||firstborn of|||||||||| 5 And of Jesus Christ, the faithful martyr, the firstborn from the dead, and the chief of the kings of the earth. τῷ ἀγαπήσαντι ἡμᾶς, καὶ λούσαντι ἡμᾶς ἀπὸ τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν ἡμῶν ἐν τῷ αἵματι αὐτοῦ· |the one who loved|us||washing||||sins|our|||his blood| to him who loved us, and washed us from our sins in his blood;

**6** καὶ ἐποίησεν ἡμᾶς βασιλεῖς καὶ ἱερεῖς τῷ Θεῷ καὶ πατρὶ αὐτοῦ· αὐτῷ ἡ δόξα καὶ τὸ κράτος εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων. |made||kings||priests||God||Father|||the|||the|power||||| 6 And he hath made us kings and priests unto his God and his father: to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. ἀμήν. Amen.

**7** ἰδού, ἔρχεται μετὰ τῶν νεφελῶν, καὶ ὄψεται αὐτὸν πᾶς ὀφθαλμός, καὶ οἵτινες αὐτὸν ἐξεκέντησαν· καὶ κόψονται ἐπ̓ αὐτὸν πᾶσαι αἱ φυλαὶ τῆς γῆς. behold|is coming|with||clouds||will see|him|every all|eye||those who||pierced him||will mourn|on||all|the|tribes of the earth|| 7 Behold, he cometh after the clouds, and every eye beholdeth him, and they that beheld him: and all the tribes of the earth are cut off from him. ναί, ἀμήν. Yes, amen.

**8** ¶ Ἐγώ εἰμι τὸ Α καὶ τὸ Ω, ἀρχὴ καὶ τέλος, λέγει ὁ Κύριος, ὁ ὢν καὶ ὁ ἦν καὶ ὁ ἐρχόμενος, ὁ παντοκράτωρ. ||||||||||||||||||||||Almighty 8 I am the A and the Z, the beginning and the end, says the Lord, the One who was and the One who is to come, the Almighty.

**9** ¶ Ἐγὼ Ἰωάννης, ὁ καὶ ἀδελφὸς ὑμῶν καὶ συγκοινωνὸς ἐν τῇ θλίψει καὶ ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ καὶ ὑπομονῇ Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, ἐγενόμην ἐν τῇ νήσῳ τῇ καλουμένῃ Πάτμῳ, διὰ τὸν λόγον τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ διὰ τὴν μαρτυρίαν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ. |||||your||partner|||tribulation||||||patience|||I was|||island||called|Patmos||||||||||| 9 ¶ I John, both your brother and fellowlabourer in the tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was born in the isle called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

**10** ἐγενόμην ἐν Πνεύματι ἐν τῇ Κυριακῇ ἡμέρᾳ· καὶ ἤκουσα ὀπίσω μου φωνὴν μεγάλην ὡς σάλπιγγος, I became||Spirit|in||Sunday|the Lord's day|and|I heard||||great||trumpet 10 I was in the Spirit on Sunday, and I heard behind me a great voice like a trumpet,

**11** λεγούσης, Ἐγώ εἰμι τὸ Α καὶ τὸ Ω, ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος· καί, Ὃ βλέπεις γράψον εἰς βιβλίον, καὶ πέμψον ταῖς ἑπτὰ ἐκκλησίαις ταῖς ἐν Ἀσίᾳ, εἰς Ἔφεσον, καὶ εἰς Σμύρναν, καὶ εἰς Πέργαμον, καὶ εἰς Θυάτειρα, καὶ εἰς Σάρδεις, καὶ εἰς Φιλαδέλφειαν, καὶ εἰς Λαοδίκειαν. saying||||||||||||last||what||write||a book||send to|||||||||||||||||Thyatira|||||||||Laodicea 11 Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, Behold, I have written in a book, and have committed to the seven churches which are in Asia, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamum, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

**12** καὶ ἐπέστρεψα βλέπειν τὴν φωνὴν ἥτις ἐλάλησε μετ̓ ἐμοῦ. |I turned|to see|||which|spoke|with me|with me 12 And I returned to see the voice that spoke to me. καὶ ἐπιστρέψας εἶδον ἑπτὰ λυχνίας χρυσᾶς, |having turned around|I saw||lampstands|golden And when thou returnest, I saw seven golden lamps,

**13** καὶ ἐν μέσῳ τῶν ἑπτὰ λυχνιῶν ὅμοιον υἱῷ ἀνθρώπου, ἐνδεδυμένον ποδήρη, καὶ περιεζωσμένον πρὸς τοῖς μαστοῖς ζώνην χρυσῆν. ||in the midst of|||lampstands|like|like a son|son of man|clothed|long robe||girded with|||breasts|golden belt|golden belt 13 And in the midst of the seven lamps, a likeness of a man clothed with a cloak, and girded about the breasts with a girdle of gold.

**14** ἡ δὲ κεφαλὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ αἱ τρίχες λευκαὶ ὡσεὶ ἔριον λευκόν, ὡς χιών· καὶ οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ αὐτοῦ ὡς φλὸξ πυρός· |but|head|||||white|like|wool|white||snow|||eyes|||flame|fire 14 And his head and his hairs were white, and his hair was white as snow, and his eyes as a flame of fire.

**15** καὶ οἱ πόδες αὐτοῦ ὅμοιοι χαλκολιβάνῳ, ὡς ἐν καμίνῳ πεπυρωμένοι· καὶ ἡ φωνὴ αὐτοῦ ὡς φωνὴ ὑδάτων πολλῶν. ||||like|bronze-like|||a furnace|burned in fire|||||||of many waters|of many waters 15 And his feet were like unto brass, as if they had been hewn in a furnace: and his voice as the voice of many waters.

**16** καὶ ἔχων ἐν τῇ δεξιᾷ αὐτοῦ χειρὶ ἀστέρας ἑπτά· καὶ ἐκ τοῦ στόματος αὐτοῦ ῥομφαία δίστομος ὀξεῖα ἐκπορευομένη καὶ ἡ ὄψις αὐτοῦ, ὡς ὁ ἥλιος φαίνει ἐν τῇ δυνάμει αὐτοῦ. |having|||right|||stars|||||||sword|double-edged|sharp sword|proceeding out|||appearance||||sun|shines|||| 16 And having in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth a sharp sword with a sharp sword, and his vision as the sun shineth in his power.

**17** καὶ ὅτε εἶδον αὐτόν, ἔπεσα πρὸς τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ ὡς νεκρός, καὶ ἐπέθηκε τὴν δεξιὰν αὐτοῦ χεῖρα ἐπ̓ ἐμέ, λέγων μοι, Μὴ φοβοῦ· ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ πρῶτος καὶ ὁ ἔσχατος, |when|I saw|him|I fell|||feet|||dead||he placed||right||hand||me||||||||||| 17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead, and he stretched out his right hand upon me, saying to me, Fear not: I am the first and the last,

**18** καὶ ὁ ζῶν, καὶ ἐγενόμην νεκρός, καὶ ἰδού, ζῶν εἰμὶ εἰς τοὺς αἰῶνας τῶν αἰώνων, ἀμήν. ||living|||||behold|||||||| 18 And he that liveth, and was born dead, and behold, I am alive for ever and ever, Amen. καὶ ἔχω τὰς κλεῖς τοῦ ᾅδου καὶ τοῦ θανάτου. |I have|the keys|keys||Hades||| And I have the stones of hell and of death.

**19** γράψον ἃ εἶδες, καὶ ἃ εἰσί, καὶ ἃ μέλλει γίνεσθαι μετὰ ταῦτα· ||you have seen|||are|||will be|to come||these things 19 Write thou sawest, and art, and it shall come to pass after these things.

**20** τὸ μυστήριον τῶν ἑπτὰ ἀστέρων ὧν εἶδες ἐπὶ τῆς δεξιᾶς μου, καὶ τὰς ἑπτὰ λυχνίας τὰς χρυσᾶς. |mystery|||stars|which||on||right hand||||||| 20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest on my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. οἱ ἑπτὰ ἀστέρες ἄγγελοι τῶν ἑπτὰ ἐκκλησιῶν εἰσί, καὶ αἱ ἑπτὰ λυχνίαι ἃς εἶδες ἑπτὰ ἐκκλησίαι εἰσί. ||stars|angels|||churches|||||lampstands|which|||churches| The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven stars are the seven churches.
