전남 곡성읍의 한 빵집에는 시루를 이용한 이색 기부함이 있습니다. At a bakery in Gokseong-eup, Jeollanam-do, there is a unique donation box made with siru.

지난해 2월, 작은 빵집을 운영하는 이강하 씨가 어려운 분들이 마음 놓고 빵을 먹을 수 있도록 시루를 기부함으로 만들었는데요. In February of last year, Lee Kang-ha, who runs a small bakery, made it by donating the syrup so that people in need can eat bread with peace of mind.

손님들은 빵값을 지불하고 남은 잔돈을 쿠폰으로 바꿔 시루에 넣어서, 빵집을 찾은 저소득층 아동과 홀몸노인들이 마음 편히 쿠폰으로 빵을 먹도록 마음을 보태고 있습니다. Customers pay for the bread and change the remaining change into coupons and put them in the siru, helping low-income children and seniors living alone who visit the bakery to enjoy bread with coupons.

지난 1년간 시루에 온정을 더한 주민은 200여 명. In the past year, about 200 residents have added warmth to Siru. 처음엔 쿠폰이 채워질까 우려도 했지만, 지금은 인근 식당과 치킨집, 카페까지 4호 점으로 늘었다고 하는데요. At first, there were concerns that the coupons would be filled, but now the number of restaurants, chicken houses and cafes has increased to the 4th.

농촌에서 시작된 따뜻한 나눔이 곡성을 넘어 전국으로 확산 되길 희망해봅니다. I hope that the warm sharing that started in rural areas will spread beyond Gokseong to the whole country.
