天皇 陛下 の 弟 の 秋篠宮 さま が 「 皇嗣 」 に なった こと を みんな に 知らせる 儀式 が ８ 日 、 皇居 の 宮殿 で ありました 。

皇嗣 は 今 の 天皇 陛下 の 次に 天皇 陛下 に なる 順位 の 人 です 。

午前 １１ 時 ごろ 始まった 「 立 皇嗣 宣明 の 儀 」 と いう 儀式 で 、 天皇 陛下 は 秋篠宮 さま が 皇嗣 に なった こと を 知らせる お 言葉 を 言いました 。

At a ceremony called "Ritual of the Emperor's Declaration," which began around 11:00 am, His Majesty the Emperor said that Akishinomiya had become the Emperor.
秋篠宮 さま は 「 皇嗣 の 責任 を 深く 考えて 、 務め を 果たして いきます 」 と 言いました 。

午後 ４ 時 半 ごろ 始まった 最後 の 儀式 で は 、 秋篠宮 さま が 天皇 陛下 に お礼 の お 言葉 を 言いました 。

At the final ceremony, which began around 4:30 pm, Prince Akishino thanked the Emperor.
これ で 、 新しい 天皇 陛下 の 即位 の ため に 、 去年 ４ 月 から 始まった 国 の 儀式 は 全部 終わりました 。
