Recapitulare A. A fost odată ca niciodată un pădurar sărac care trăia împreună cu fiica sa, pe care o chema Dâmboviţa, într-o pădure mare şi adâncă. Fata ştia toate secretele pădurii, toate potecile, toate cărările, toate viețuitoarele care trăiau ascunse în iarbă şi în tufişuri. Într-o zi, un prinţ dintr-o împărăţie îndepărtată s-a rătăcit prin pădure. A întâlnit-o pe Dâmboviţa şi i-a cerut să-l ajute să-şi regăsească drumul. Ea a fost bună şi i l-a arătat. Prinţul, văzând frumuseţea şi gingăşia ei, a cerut-o de nevastă. Dâmboviţa i-a spus însă că-i făgăduise deja mâna lui Bucur, un cioban din vecinătatea pădurii. În semn de mulţumire, prinţul – care nu era nimeni altul decât Prinţul Munţilor – i-a oferit atunci fetei un cuţitaş şi o sfârlează de lemn. Dacă învârtea sfârleaza, i se îndeplinea orice dorinţă. După întâlnirea cu prinţul, fata s-a dus cu cuţitaşul şi cu sfârleaza şi i le-a arătat logodnicului ei, Bucur. Dorind să-i dovedească ce mult îl iubeşte şi că i-a fost credincioasă, ea a înfipt cuţitul într-o stâncă. Din locul unde a lovit, a ţâşnit un izvor de apă bună, curată şi clară ca lacrima fetei. Dâmboviţa a botezat acest izvor cu numele ei. Cei doi au întemeiat un sătuc la marginea pădurii, pe malul izvorului. Bucur a dat aşezării numele lui. Şi aşa, sătucul, devenit astăzi metropolă, se numeşte Bucureşti, iar apa care-l străbate – Dâmboviţa. Mai spune legenda că îndrăgostiţii s-au căsătorit, au avut copii vrednici şi au trăit ani mulţi şi fericiţi. Dacă n-or fi murit, or mai fi trăind şi astăzi... B. Se spune că toate începuturile au o poveste. Aşa şi Bucureştiul. Pe vremea când năvăleau popoare migratoare în ţara noastră, precum tătarii, pe malul Dâmboviţei şi prin pădurile care azi nu mai sunt, din zona Bucureştiului de azi, vieţuia un cioban pe nume Bucur, care avea turmă mare de oi, cu câini şi măgari, şi cai. El nu trăia singur, ci mai mulţi ciobani îl ajutau să ţină rânduiala pentru tuns oile, făcut caşul şi multe alte treburi, care se fac la o stână. Erau multe primejdii de înfruntat în acea vreme, printre care şi animalele sălbatice. Dar mai răi decât fiarele erau unii oameni, care veneau cu gând să fure, să omoare, să ia robi, să dea foc. Ciobanul Bucur a trecut prin toate acestea: de mai multe ori tătarii i-au dat foc la stână, i-au luat rob un cioban şi, într-o zi, chiar pe frumoasa Anca, fata lui, au prins-o şi au luat-o cu ei. Dar fiind viteaz, Bucur a luat alţi doi ciobani cu el şi, călare, au plecat să o găsească pe fată. I-au ajuns pe tătari din urmă la apa Nistrului, care era îngheţată, fiind iarnă. Tătarii au crezut că gheaţa e destul de groasă pentru a trece pe ea, ca pe un pod. Numai că gheaţa s-a spart şi ei s-au cufundat în apă. Unii dintre ei s-au înecat. Însă Anca a fost salvată de tatăl ei şi de ciobani şi s-a putut întoarce acasă. Apoi, Bucur a ridicat o casă mare, cu gard înalt, şi când fata lui s-a căsătorit, s-a format o mică aşezare, căreia i-au ridicat şi biserică: biserica Bucur. În jurul acestei aşezări, în timp, s-a format Bucureştiul, după numele ciobanului curajos. Biserica lui Bucur Ciobanul există şi astăzi. Se află în sectorul 4, lângă mânăstirea Radu Vodă, este închinată Sfinţilor Atanasie şi Chiril. Unii istorici nu au crezut în legenda lui Bucur, dar au cercetat mai multe documente şi au ajuns la concluzia că Bucur e ctitorul ei. A fost ridicată mai întâi din lemn, de către Bucur, iar mai apoi, din cărămidă, de către Mircea cel Bătrân în 1416. Data exactă a construirii ei nu se cunoaşte nici azi. (o voce) Cunoscut în trecut ca „Cibinium” şi mai târziu, în urma colonizării de către saşi, ca „Hermannstadt", Sibiul a fost declarat oraş în 1366. Aici au venit, din secolul XII, mai mulţi saşi, dintre care mulţi meşteşugari, care mai târziu s-au organizat în bresle, contribuind la dezvoltarea şi bunăstarea oraşului. Iată cum legenda se împleteşte cu datele istoriei! (o a doua voce) Se zice că înainte, pe locul Sibiului, era doar un sat sărac, pe nume Sibiel. Şi oamenii de acolo nu aveau un meşteşugar, care să-i înveţe meserie. De aceea au mers ei la un cizmar neam, pe nume Hermann, şi l-au rugat să se mute în satul lor. Hermann era şiret şi a acceptat propunerea, numai să i se dea pământ în sat, cât să poată întinde o piele de bivol. Oamenii s-au bucurat şi i-au promis că-i vor da dublu. A doua zi, a venit Hermann, dar a tăiat pielea de bivol în fâşii subţiri, subţiri, şi a dat roată la mult pământ cu ele... şi-au dat seama oamenii locului că sunt păcăliţi, dar nu au avut ce face. Pe acele vremuri, vorba era vorbă, nu era nevoie de alte promisiuni scrise, deci aşa a rămas, cât a vrut Hermann, ba chiar dublu. Apoi Hermann şi-a construit o casă mare şi a adus mai multe rude de-ale lui în sat, şi în scurtă vreme satul s-a mărit, schimbându-şi numele din Sibiel în Sibiu. S-a şi îmbogăţit satul, fiind numit şi „Hermannstadt”, adică oraşul lui Hermann, cu români şi nemţi... Aşa se zice că s-ar fi format Sibiul de azi. Adevărul, numai Dumnezeu îl ştie!
