我 显得 若无其事 的 样子 和 周局长 道 了 别 ，然后 尽量 迈着 人们 在 五星级 酒店 大堂 才 惯常 使用 的 步伐 昂首挺胸 地 向 酒店 大门 走去 。 当 我 透过 酒店 金碧辉煌 的 廊柱 的 反射 瞥见 仍 站 在 咖啡厅 的 周 局长 用 深切 的 目光 目送 我 离开 时 ，我 突然 有些 不安 和 茫然 。 周 局长 早 在 喝 咖啡 时 已经 留意 到 我 看 了 三次 手表 ，那 是 在 他 提起 给 我 父亲 打电话 之后 。 虽然 ， 我 很 想 和 周 局长 多 呆 一会儿 ， 可是 今天 是 星期天 ， 现在 又 快 到 晚饭时间 了 ， 我 已经 有 三个 星期 没有 去过 父母 家 了 。

快步 走出 酒店 大门 ，挥手 叫 了 一辆 出租车 ，还 没 等 车子 停稳 ，我 就 迫不及待 地 打开 车门 ，跳上 出租车 。 告诉 司机 父母 家 的 地址 ，我 就 闭目 养神 ，可是 脑子 却 一刻 也 没 停过 。 在 公安局 拘留所 的 第一个 星期天 ，我 曾经 想 给 父母 打个 电话 ，但是 由于 想不到 要 呆 这么 长时间 ，以及 不愿意 在 公安人员 面前 向 父母 撒谎 ，另外 也 无法 留 电话号码 给 父母 ，也 就 作罢 了 。 后来 两个 星期天 也 没有 打电话 ，我 当时 想 ，既然 第一个 星期天 父母 已经 接受 了 我 没有 回去 吃 晚饭 的 事实 ，那么 后来 几个 星期天 没有 理由 不 接受 。 至少 当时 我 是 这样 想 的 。

父亲 是 退休 中学 老师 ，母亲 是 退休 医生 。 父亲 今年 都 七十七 了 ，母亲 也 刚刚 过 了 七十五岁 生日 。 为了 他们 能够 快快活活 地 度过 晚年 ，前 几年 我 把 他们 从 湖北 老家 接 来 广州 ，住进 我 在 珠江 南岸 买 的 一套 两房 公寓 里 ，我 自己 则 搬 到 城北 新开发区 汇桥 新城 。 从 那 以后 ，只要 是 没有 出差 的 日子 ，每个 星期天 我 都 会 到 父母 那里 去 吃饭 。 虽然 父母 到 现在 还是 一句 白话 都 听不懂 ，活动 范围 也 只是 附近 几条 街道 和 珠江 边 的 林荫大道 ，并且 没有 几个 认识 的人 ，可是 这里 气候宜人 ，车水马龙 ，比起 老家 湖北 乡下 的 冬 冷 夏 热 ，死气沉沉 ，父母 经常 是 笑容满面 ，逢人 总 忘不了 夸 我 这个 儿子 又 孝顺 又 能干 。 但是 毕竟 岁月 不饶人 ，再 舒适 的 环境 、再 好 的 气候 和 心情 也 无法 让 父母 返老还童 。 而 更加 糟糕 的 是 ，刚刚 享受 到 好 日子 的 父母 日益 意识 到 他们 的 时日 不多 ，伤感 就 越来越 多 的 惊扰 着 他们 。 有时 我 不禁 想 ，自己 到底 做 对 了 没有 ，在 父母 晚年 我 才 尽 我 所能 让 他们 生活 舒适 开心 起来 ，但 同时 也 强烈 地 勾起 了 他们 对 生命 的 留恋 。 于是 ，自然 在 他们 的 心中 就 生出 了 对 死亡 的 恐惧 。 可是 我 没有 办法 ， 我 也 是 奋斗 了 这么 多年 才 有 能力 把 父母 接 出来 的 。

出租车 在 小区 门前 停下 ，我 没有 零钱 ，拿出 五十块 给 司机 ，说 ：“不用 找 了 ”，三步 并 两步 的 跑 进 大楼 ，跨进 了 电梯 。 在 电梯 慢慢 爬 上 十楼 的 时间 里 ，我 已经 考虑 好 了 如何 说 词 。 就 告诉 他们 我 出国 去 了 ，由于 时间差 和 国际 线路 繁忙 ，我 只能 在 晚上 六点 到 七点 打电话 给 他们 。 我 知道 这个 时候 他们 是 一定 到 珠江 岸边 散步 的 ，随后 ，我 可以 假装 抱怨 他们 ，为什么 不 听 我的 电话 ，或 给 电话 装个 留言 装置 什么 的 。

妈妈 给 我 开门 的 时候 ，我 发现 想 好 的 借口 用不上 了 。 妈妈 笑眯眯 地 看着 我 。

“ 快进来 ， 快进来 。 ”母亲 用 浓重 的 湖北 口音 扯 着 嗓门 喊 着 。

“饭 刚刚 做好 了 。 ”父亲 连声 说 ，父亲 是 用 普通话 说 的 。 我 觉得 有些 奇怪 ，不过 进入 房间 后 ，就 明白 了 ，原来 家里 还有 另外 一个 人 ，她 正在 厨房 里 帮忙 爸爸 做菜 。 我 有些 惊奇 ，因为 这样 的 情况 还是 第一次 出现 。

“爸爸 ，妈妈 ，你们 都 好 吧 ，我 ——”

“ 好 得 很 ， 好 得 很 。 ”妈 打断 我 的话 ，冲 厨房 大嗓门 喊道 ：“阿华 ，你 出来 一下 ，我 给 你 介绍 我 的 儿子 。 ”那位 叫 阿华 的 女人 从 厨房 探 出头 来 ，看 了 我 一眼 ，慌慌张张 地 抓起 灶台 上 的 毛巾 ，胡乱 在 脸上 抹 了 一把 。 我 觉得 有点 好笑 ，本来 脸上 还 干净 ，这一擦 就 有些 不清不楚 了 。

爸爸 边 搓 手 边 从 厨房 里 走 出来 ，他 用 普通话 向 我 介绍 了 阿华 ：“阿华 是 潘氏 营养 口服液 的 青春 大使 ，我们 在 阿华 的 介绍 下 开始 服用 潘氏 公司的 返老还童 营养 精华液 两个 多 星期 了 。 你 看 ，我们 怎么样 ？ ”父亲 摆 出 一副 姿势 让 我 评判 ，我 能 说 什么 呢 ，这 已经 不是 第一次 了 。 父亲 到处 收罗 营养品 ，从 蜂皇精 到 人参 精华 ，他们 几乎 都 试过 。 每 一次 虽然 哪怕 惹 父母 不 高兴 ，我 也 会 给 他们 泼冷水 ，不过 今天 他们 竟然 连 产品 的 推销员 ——他们 叫 什么 来着 ，“青春 大使 ”——都 带 回家 ，我 自然 不好 当面 说 什么 。 何况 在 我 的 心中 ，我 也 有些 侥幸 ，因为 有 “客人 ”在 ，父母 好象 不会 追究 我 为什么 失踪 了 三个 多 星期 了 。 而 如果 让 他们 知道 我 被 公安 拘留 了 三个 星期 ，我 想 父母 会 彻底 垮掉 的 。

可能 是 把 我 的 犹豫 误认为 是 认真 对比 和 思考 ，父亲 更加 起劲 了 ，母亲 也 凑上来 ，“你 爸爸 气色 不是 好多 了 吗 ？ 才 服用 了 两个 多 星期 。 ” 父亲 的 气色 看起来 确实 不错 ， 不过 我 知道 ， 只要 告诉 父亲 喝下去 的 东西 能够 延年益寿 什么 的 ， 就算 是 白开水 ， 也 可以 让 父亲 立时 容光焕发 。 我 附和 着 ，连连 点头 ，然后 我 把 视线 转移 到 拘谨 地 正在 桌边 伺弄 碗筷 的 青春 大使 阿华 ：“阿华 小姐 ，你们 公司 很 有名气 吧 ？ ”“叫 我 阿华 吧 。 是 的 ，我们 公司 是 使用 美国 刚刚 研制 出 的 配方 配置 DNA 新陈代谢 的 营养品 。 ”阿华 一边 呐呐地 回答 着 我 的 问题 ，一边 手里 不停 地 摆放 碗筷 。 她 始终 低着 头 ，不敢 看 我 的 眼睛 。 我 想 ， 她 大概 是 不 知道 这 对 老夫妻 还有 一个 北京大学 毕业 的 儿子 吧 ， 不然 她 一定 不敢 上来 。 不过 看着 阿华 很 不 自然 局促 的 样子 ，我 不禁 有些 同情 她 了 ，唉 ，大家 都 只不过 是 混口饭吃 罢了 ，何必 咄咄逼人 呢 ？ 何况 父母 才 使用 了 两个 星期 ，估计 损失 不会 超过 五百元 ，过 了 今天 我 再 找 机会 劝说 他们 不 迟 。

吃饭 时 ，父母 一直 喋喋不休 的 谈论 新 服食 的 营养液 的 疗效 ，以及 一一 给 我 细数 有 多少 名人 吃 了 这种 口服液 后 青春 焕发 ，老当益壮 等等 。 阿华 一直 默默地 在 一旁 ，不时 微笑 ，偶尔 谨慎地 插上 两句 ，纠正 父母 的 夸张 之词 。 阿华 的 这个 举动 可谓 大方 得体 ，不 象 一名 让 人 一眼 就 识破 的 传销 女 。 这 倒 引起 了 我 的 兴趣 ，我 不觉 多 瞟 了 她 两眼 。 虽然 她 仍然 没有 擦 干净 脸 ，可是 无可否认 她 是 一位 非常 迷人 的 少妇 。 大约 三十 出头 ，高高的 前额 ，饱满 的 脸庞 ，宽松 的 衣服 在 她 举手投足 之间 仍然 难以 掩盖 她 玲珑 浮凸 的 身体 。 特别 是 她 那 涨 鼓鼓的 胸脯 和 每当 她 背对着 我 弯 下腰 去 装 饭 时 而 翘起来 ，滚圆 、股勾 分明 的 屁股 让 我 好 几次 走神 。 我 赶紧 低下 头 大口 吃饭 ，我 把 这些 归咎于 自己 在 拘留所 呆 了 差不多 一个月 的 缘故 。

吃饭 期间 ，阿华 一直 回避 我 的 目光 ，可是 我 的 眼角 每一次 哪怕 多么 轻微 的 瞥见 她 ，心中 都 微微 地 颤抖 一下 。 她 虽然 头发 有些 散乱 ，脸庞 也 不是 很 清爽 ，可是 我 分明 感觉 到 来自 她 身上 的 一种 妖媚 。 这种 妖媚 如果 在 平时 我 想 可以 想 办法 忘掉 ，可是 现在 她 就 坐 在 我 的 对面 ，并且 是 在 我 呆 在 拘留所 三个 多 星期 后 出来 的 今天 。 某种 欲望 和 渴望 让 我 决定 暂时 不要 戳穿 这个 传销 女 的 骗人 把戏 ，或者 ，我 也 期望 从 美国 回来 后 可以 再次 见到 她 。

吃完饭 后 ，阿华 起来 告辞 时 ，我 目送 她 到 门口 ，竟然 还 多谢 了 她 ：“阿华 ，谢谢 你 向 我 爸妈 介绍 的 营养液 ，也 谢谢 你 照顾 他们 。 我 近期 要 出趟 差 到 美国 去 ，还 希望 你 多多 照顾 他们 。 ”阿华 回头 看 了 我 一眼 ，脸上 泛起 了 红晕 ，让 我 感到 不可思议 。 这个 女人 应该 有 三十多岁 了 吧 ，皮肤 还 如此 白晰 ，而且 竟然 在 我 这样 一个 其貌不扬 的 男人 一声 谢谢 之下 脸 发红 。 不过 我 随即 又 想 ，也许 她 看出 了 我 的 别有用心 ，那样 也好 。 这样 的 想法 ，在 我 脑海 里 一闪而过 ，刚刚 接触 过 她 的 眼神 ，我 又 心神不宁 起来 。

爸爸 大概 是 害怕 我 说教 ，阿华 刚刚 离开 ，他 就 迫不及待 地 开口 了 ：“阿华 是 个 好 姑娘 。 她 原来 在 湖南 长沙 的 国营 工厂 里 做事 ，厂子 被 私人 购买 后 ，她 也 下岗 了 ，就 只身 来到 广州 打工 ，干起 了 传销 工作 。 不过 她 可 和 一般 搞 传销 的人 不同 ，她 不 欺骗 人 ，只 推销 自己 相信 的 产品 。 我们 在 解放公园 遇到 她 ，她 好心 介绍 我们 去 公司 的 展销会 。 那 场面 可 大 了 ，当时 广东省 卫生厅 的 处长 都 参加 了 ，记者 来了 好几十个 ，凡是 到场 的 ，都 享受 免费 吃 自助餐 ，试用 营养液 。 ”妈妈 也 抢 着 补充 道 ：“阿华 可是 个 好人 ，怕 我们 看不懂 说明 ，不 知道 用量 ，她 每天 到 我们 家 免费 为 我们 服务 。 这 闺女 又 孝顺 ， 又 聪明 ， 人 还 长得象 画儿 一样 漂亮 ——”

爸爸 妈妈 抢着 列举 阿华 的 好处 ，我 心里 清清楚楚 ，他们 讲 的 每一条 几乎 都是 广州 街头 近日 出现 的 标准 骗子 的 德行 。 可是 我 在 心里 默默 算 出 自己 出差 一个月 ，父母 的 损失 最 多 不会 超过 两千块 ，尚 在 我 可以 负担 的 限度 之内 ，我 决定 保持 沉默 ，不 戳破 这个 坑人 的 把戏 。

飞机 从 香港机场 的 起跑道 上 滑行 ，慢慢 起飞 的时候 ，我 的 飞行 综合症 又 开始 折磨 我 了 。 我 双手 紧紧 抓 着 两旁 的 扶手 ，两眼 紧闭 ，咬紧 牙关 ，不一会 ，衣服 已经 汗湿 了 。 大约 过 了 二十 分钟 ，感觉 到 机身 平稳 后 ，我 缓缓 地 睁开 眼 ，看到 到 旁边 座位 上 的 一位 男士 嘴角 还 残留 着 一丝 讥讽 。 我 也 没有 办法 ，我 想 如果 在 接下来 的 十二个 小时 旅途 中 有 机会 的话 ，我 会 向 他 解释 的 ，务必 让 他 知道 ，我 其实 一点 也 不 怕 死 ，飞行 恐惧症 是一种 病 。 即使 是 旅途 中 萍水相逢 的 陌生人 ，我 也 不 愿意 给 人家 留下 不好 的 印象 。 想起 以前 经常 要 飞来飞去 的 日子 ，这种 被 西方人 称为 飞行 恐惧症 的 病 简直 把 我 折磨 得 够呛 ，也 让 我 在 很多 陌生 的 旅客 面前 尊严 扫地 。 后来 ，在 美国 经过 朋友 的 介绍 ，我 去 看 医生 ，想 搞清 原因 ，也 是 希望 有 什么 镇静剂 安眠药 之类 的 特效药 可以 让 我 登上 飞机 以后 就 心静如水 ，或者 呼呼大睡 。 结果 医生 告诉 我 ，飞行 恐惧症 虽然 是 病症 ，但 却 不是 他们 医治 的 范围 。 后来 我 被 推荐 去 看 纽约 有名 的 心理医生 。

心理医生 的 收费 是 按照 分钟 计算 的 ，收费 的 标准 和 方法 和 我们 广州 的 三陪女 服务 大同小异 。 只是 按摩 小姐 们 是 靠 自己 的 小手 和 身体 的 其他 部位 把 你 整个 身体 抚摸 一遍 ， 最后 如果 价钱 合理 的话 还会 让 你 把 身体 污浊 的 东西 排泄 出来 ， 达到 身心 舒泰 。 而 心理医生 则 是 靠 语言 和 他们 的 眼睛 把 你 的 灵魂 挨个 清理 一遍 ，最后 如果 成功 的话 ，把 一直 隐藏 在 你 灵魂深处 的 阴暗 扫除 掉 ，让 你 心情 轻松 。 当然 ， 纽约 的 心理医生 收费 比 广州 的 按摩女 收费 要贵 很多 ， 加上 我 在 他 那里 没有 病历 ， 第一次 需要 “ 全套 服务 ”， 也 就是 要 从 我 出生 开始 ， 一直 问 到 我 长大成人 。 现在 回想起来 当时 的 感觉 和 在 广州 公安局 的 感受 颇 有 相似之处 。 和 在 公安局 情况 有所 不同 的 是 ，在 公安局 ，我 可以 不急 不忙 ，时间 站 在 我 这 一边 ，可是 看 心理医生 就 不同 ，我 得 尽快 ，连 想 都 不想 地 回答 心理医生 故意 慢吞吞 的 提问 ，一边 不时 偷看 墙上 的 挂钟 。 后来 证明 我 的 焦虑 是 对 的 ，我 收到 的 帐单 表明 ，那天 在 心理医生 诊所 的 三个 小时 ，平均 每分钟 花费 了 我 三 美元 。 记得 那次 在 我 回答 了 诸如 小时候 最 喜欢 什么 ， 憎恨 什么 ， 希望 什么 等 几十个 问题 后 ， 我 向 医生 慎重 声明 ， 我 不怕死 。 并且 我 告诉 心理医生 ，我 早 知道 摩托车 是 世界 上 最 不 安全 的 交通工具 ，飞机 则 是 最 安全 的 这样 一个 事实 。 我 还 告诉 他 ，我 每天 骑 摩托车 上班 常常 超速 ，有时 连 警察 都 追不上 我 ，我 只是 想 知道 ，象 我 这样 一个 不怕死 的人 怎么 会 一上 飞机 就 要死要活 的 冷汗 直流 ？

那个 长着 一双 蓝色 眼睛 的 白人 心理医生 好 几次 在 我 陈述 中 戴上 眼镜 ，又 取下来 ，仿佛 想 穿过 不同 的 镜片 角度 来 透视 我 的 内心 。 最后 他 说 ：“你 说 你 无 欲 无 求 ，自己 没有 什么 私有 财产 ，银行 里 没有 几个 存款 ，生活 中 没有 朝思暮想 的 女人 ，心里 没有 什么 让 你 死 不 瞑目 的 旧 仇 新 恨 要 了结 ，或者 也 没 什么 远大 的 理想 要 去 实现 ，可是 这些 都 不能 说明 你 就 不 怕 死 。 你 说 你 不 怕 死 只能 说明 你 从来 没有 机会 去 认真 思考 死 ，因为 在 你 的 生活 中 没有 多少 生死存亡 的 情景 ，反而 坐 飞机 才 是 你 唯一 思考 死亡 的 时候 ，因为 在 你 的 内心深处 ，你 觉得 乘坐 飞机 是 你 生活 中 最 接近 死亡 的 时刻 ，对 不 对 ？ ”心理医生 的 结论 慢慢 的 从 他 口中 吐出来 ，仿佛 每一个 字 都 需要 酌量 ，只 说 得 我 浑身 冒汗 ，我 是 担心 他 的 结论 拉得 太 长 ，让 我 这个月 的 伙食费 受到 影响 。 而 他 肯定 误会 了 我 ，以为 是 说 到 点子 上 了 ，就 对 自己 的 结论 更加 有 自信 ，更加 滔滔不绝 。 他 接着 一边 欣赏 着 我 的 浑身 不自在 ，如 坐 针 垫 ，冷汗 直 冒 ，一边 悠扬 的 深刻 地 剖析 着 我 的 灵魂 ：“这 说明 实际上 你 的 内心深处 对 死亡 极其 恐惧 ，这种 恐惧 之所以 只有 在 乘坐 飞机 时 才 暴露 出来 ，说明 你 这个 人 是 一个 按部就班 的 人 ，你 不但 计划 自己的 生 ，也 会 在 适当 时候 计划 自己的 死 ，所以 你 对 意外 死亡 特别 忌讳 ，而 乘坐 飞机 出事 是 所有 意外 死亡 中 最 让人 意外 的 。 还有 一个 原因 就是 你 这个 人 责任心 很 重 ，以 你 的 年纪 看 ，你 还 没有 闲钱 和 闲时间 乘坐 飞机 到处 游玩 ，所以 你 每次 乘坐 飞机 都 是 为 公司 出差 或者 去 完成 什么 任务 ，于是 有 种 潜意识 作怪 ，让 你 不甘心 在 未 完成 任务 前 摔死 ——”

心理医生 还 扯淡 了 很多 ， 我 都 不置可否 ， 只 记得 他 的 结论 是 清楚 明白 的 ， 那 就是 我 灵魂深处 对 死亡 充满 了 恐惧 。 接下来 他 话锋 一转 ，开始 鼓励 我 勇敢 地 去 面对 死亡 ，思考 死亡 。 他 说 ， 只有 伟大 的 人才 去 思考 死亡 ， 世间 的 芸芸众生 都 糊里糊涂 地 以为 人世间 生 主宰 着 一切 ， 而 死 只不过 是 瞬间 的 结束 ， 其实 是 大 不然 的 。 死亡 不 但是 一切 生 的 结束 ，也 是 一切 生 的 开始 ，而且 从 生 到 死 ，死亡 主宰 着 一切 。 医生 耐心 地 看着 我 的 眼睛 说 ：“你 思考 一下 吧 ,人类 正是 因为 害怕 绝种 ，害怕 彻底 灭亡 ，这样 生命 才 不停 地 诞生 出来 。 诞生 下来 的 小 生命 是 如此 脆弱 娇柔 ， 而且 从 诞生 到 死亡 ， 整个 生命 的 过程 中 充满 着 为了 逃避 死亡 而 不停 与 饥 俄 、 疾病 灾难 所 作 的 斗争 。 人类 社会 建立 国家 ，设立 法律 不 也 都 是 害怕 死亡 的 结果 ？ 你 再 设想 一下 ，如果 没有 死亡 的 威胁 ，无论 是 现代 医学 还是 现在 的 各门 科学技术 都 根本 不会 诞生 ，更加 不 可能 发展 到 今天 的 程度 。 没有 死亡 阴影 的 压迫 ，人类 一定 懒惰 无知 ，与 一头 猪 无异 ，并且 还 会 日益 退化 ， 就 连 文学 和 哲学 也 都 产生 于 人类 对 死亡 的 思索 。 这些 你 都 可以 从 回顾 一下 古往今来 的 大 哲学家 们 如何 从 思考 死亡 开始 向 我们 披露 生 的 奥秘 这样 的 事实 就 知道 了 。 ” 大概 是 看到 我 脸上 显露出来 的 有点 跟不上 他 的 思路 的 表情 ， 医生 停 了 下来 ， 叹 了 口气 ：“ 这样 吧 ， 我们 不要 扯远 了 ， 就 以 你 自己 为 例子 。 ”他 喝 了 口 咖啡 ，问 我 ：“告诉 我 ，当 你 在 空中 紧张 得 大 汗淋淋 的 时候 ，你 在 想 什么 ？ ”我 认真 想 了 想 ，那时 我 的 想法 还 很多 ，但 主要 的 就是 这样 一些 问题 ：我 怎么 会 死 在 这里 ？ 我 还有 好多 书 没有 看 ，好多 事情 做 了 一半 或者 根本 没有 开始 做 ，还有 好多 朋友 想 联系 ，可是 还 没有 时间 联系 ，还有 还有 ，临 出门 时 我 也 没有 向 父母 和 哥哥 姐姐 交代 一下 ，你 看 这些 还 不够 吗 ？ 我 不能 死 呀 ！

我 很 欣慰 接下来 飞机 在 太平洋 黑漆漆 的 上空 飞行 得 异常 平稳 ，我 也 借 上 厕所 请 旁边 的 那位 乘客 给 我 让 道 的 机会 和 他 搭 上 了 话 ，并且 不失时机 的 向 他 传播 了 现在 医学 的 新 发现 ，特别 是 关于 乘坐 飞机 时 感觉 恐惧 是 病 而不是 怕死 表现 的 现代 西方 医学 。 他 很 惊奇 的 看着 我 ， 装 出 一副 恍然大悟 并且 很 同情 我 的 样子 ， 然而 我 的 心情 并 没有 完全 放松 下来 。 在 交谈 当中 我 知道 他 才 四十 出头 ，已经 在 东莞 和 深圳 有 两间 加工厂 了 。 他 在 几年 前 把 老婆 和 两个 孩子 送到 美国 洛杉矶 定居 ，之后 他 几乎 每个 月 都 要 飞 美国 一趟 。 这次 飞去 据 他 说 是 为了 换 一间 大点 的 洋房 。 “小孩子 都 快 十岁 了 ，需要 有 自己的 空间 ，不但 要 有 自己的 睡房 ，还要 有 自己的 游戏室 、书房 和 活动间 。 ”他 边 摇头 边 告诉 我 ，“原来 的 六房 都 不够 分配 了 ，这次 我 是 下 了 决心 买个 大点 的 别墅 ，在 洛杉矶 要 花费 两百多万 美金 。 ”说 到 这里 他 皱 了 皱眉头 ，不过 随即 又 想通 了 的 样子 ，“好在 生意 还 过得去 ，只要 把 开 第三间 加工厂 的 计划 推迟 一段时间 就 可以 了 。 ”我 似笑非笑 地 听 着 他 的 讲述 ，心中 却 并不 平静 。 我 一忽儿 计算 着 自己 这次 出差 如何 可以 更好 的 节约 下周 局长 给 的 那 一丁点 补助 ，一忽儿 又 想着 两百万 美金 的 房子 是什么样的 。 环顾 前后左右 的 乘客 ，虽然 都 是 在 经济仓 ，并且 几乎 都 其貌不扬 ，可是 一 想到 这里 很多 人 都 和 这位 两厂 之主 的 小老板 不相上下 ，经济 成功 ，有 家 有 室 ，我 突然 觉得 苦苦 思考 生死 大事 实在 有些 无聊 。

这样 漫无边际 的 想着 想着 ，飞机 已经 在 洛杉矶国际机场 徐徐 降落 。 虽然 我 清楚 知道 百分之四十 的 飞机 出事 都 是 发生 在 飞机 降落 的时候 ，不过 这次 我 不但 没有 出冷汗 ，而且 一整夜 都 没有 好好 睡觉 的 我 精神饱满 地 走下 了 飞机 。

我 闭上 眼睛 深深 做 了 几次 深呼吸 ，不错 ，我 吸进 的 是 美国 的 味道 。 正如 每个 人 有 自己 的 味道 一样 ，每个 国家 也 有 其 独特 的 味道 。 如果说 一个 人 的 味道 主要 集中 在 腋窝 里 的话 ，那么 一个 国家 的 味道 就是 集中 在 它 的 国际机场 里 。 这 并 不是 说 那里 的 味道 就 特别 重 ，而是 那 是 你 刚刚 抵达 ，踏进 这个 国土 的 第一步 ，可以 鲜明 的 感觉 到 不同 气息 的 地方 。

我 故意 放慢 了 脚步 ，让 这种 我 始终 无法 描述 的 美国 味道 深深 的 进入 我 的 脑子里 。 十二个 小时 的 飞行 中 我 除了 聊天 就是 自己 想 一些 深奥 的 哲理 ，总 不 让 自己 的 脑子 在 太平洋 八 千尺 的 高空 上 闲下来 。 所以 ，这 一刻 当 我 的 身体 落 在 地球 这 一边 的 美国 国土 时 ，我 的 脑袋 仍然 还是 留 在 中国 。

我 需要 这段 从 走 下 飞机 到 海关 闸口 的 时间 来 把 大脑 转换 过来 ，至少 让 我 的 大脑 适应 这里 的 气味 ，何况 我 知道 ，无论 是 海关 还是 移民局 都 会 对 夹杂 在 中间 的 旅客 检查 较 松 。 在 移民局 里 ，黑人 移民官 把 我 从头到脚 认真 的 看 了 一遍 ，似乎 对 我 “回来 母校 看看 ，顺便 把 毕业文凭 拿到 手 ”的 理由 并不 满意 ，不过 在 一阵 敲击 键盘 的 声音 之后 ，我 还是 过 了 这一关 。 在 行李 处 提起 自己 的小箱子 向 海关 走去 ，大概 是 在 移民官 那里 时间 久 了 的 缘故 ，我 的 心情 有些 紧张 。

“请 打开 你 的 箱子 。 ”这次 是 个 白人 官员 。

我 把 箱子 打开 ，白人 官员 小心翼翼 的 用 戴着 白 手套 的 手 在 里面 翻查 ，当 他 把 手 伸进 里面 的 时候 ，我 突然 注意 到 他 的 表情 有 异 ，随后 他 把 手 拿出来 ，故作 镇静 地 看着 我 。 我 注意 到 他 的 手 已经 触及 了 柜台 下 的 红色 按钮 。 果然 ，两个 站 在 过道 两旁 的 武装 关员 立即 从 左右 向 这边 急速 靠拢 过来 。 大概 是 由于 我 的 两只 手 都 在 他们 眼睛 看得见 的 地方 吧 ，所以 他们 只是 把 手 放在 配枪 上 ，不过 那 表情 就 很 严峻 。 旁边 的 旅客 显然 比 我 还 紧张 ，我 在 被 带 进 海关 小房间 时 ，瞥见 那位 刚才 和 我 坐 在 一起 的 两厂 之主 目瞪口呆 的 盯 着 我 ，接着 又 显出 一副 再次 恍然大悟 的 夸张 表情 。

在 海关 的 小房间 里 ，其他 的 关员 都 纷纷 的 让开 。 那 两位 武装 关员 在 我 左右 稍微 靠 后 一点 的 位置 拉开 架式 站定 ，那位 首先 打开 我 箱子 的 关员 会合 另外 一位 看起来 比 他 级别 高 ，经验 老到 的 关员 开始 一件件 拿出 我 的 行李 。 我 想 ，还好 ，再多 省 ，我 都 会 在 出差 时 买 上 两三条 新 带 着 ，否则 ，被 外国人 检查 出来 上 有 污迹 ，比 查出 有 毒品 还 让 我 丢人 。 在 他们 两个 一件件 小心翼翼 拿出 我 花 了 一个 小时 才 收拾 好 的 箱子 时 ，一位 西装 便衣 悄悄 走进 来 。 我 想 这 一定 是 FBI 的 常驻 机场 代表 了 ，我 松 了 口气 。

这时 ，我 突然 感觉 到 左右 两侧 的 彪形大汉 浑身 一 抽 ，才 注意 到 开 箱子 的 一位 关员 正 用 两个 手指 从 箱子 底 缓缓 拿出 一个 透明 塑料袋 装着 的 白 粉状 物品 。 我 随即 注意 到 那 FBI 也 神情 紧张 起来 ，我 左右 的 两位 武装 关员 也 不自觉地 向 我 挪近 了 一点 。

“ 这是 什么 ？ ”那个 关员 一边 用 锐利 的 蓝 眼睛 看着 我 ，一边 拿起 旁边 准备好 的 小刀 轻轻 戳破 塑料袋 ，用 刀尖 粘 了 一点 ，然后 小心地 举起来 ，伸出 他 舌苔 很 厚 的 舌头 舔 了 一下 。

“毒品 ！ 纯度 还 很 高 。 ”他 放下 手 来 ，假装 轻松 地 样子 ，“先生 ，我 想 ——”

“长官 ，我 想 在 你 想 之前 先 听 我 解释 一句 。 ”我 毫不客气 地 打断 他 ，“那 是 洗衣粉 ，味道 和 高纯度 加料 的 海洛英 差不多 ！ ”那个 关员 怔 了 一会 ，求助 地 看 了 一眼 旁边 的 西装 ，西装 走 过来 ，也 试 了 一试 ，显然 他 也 拿不定 主意 。 西装 和 两位 海关 的 关员 退 到 旁边 的 另 一间 小 房间 里 ，我 左右 的 两位 武装 关员 示意 我 坐下 ，然后 一左一右 的 坐 在 我 旁边 。 不 知道 是 他们 两位 中 哪一位 身上 发出 的 味道 让 我 坐立不安 起来 。

过 了 几分钟 ，三人 出来 了 ，其中 一位 解释 说 ，需要 做 进一步 的 化验 。 于是 FBI 和 另外 一位 拿着 我 的 洗衣粉 离开 了 ，剩下 的 年资 较长 的 关员 拿 了 张 椅子 坐 在 我 的 对面 ，问 了 我 一些 简单 的 问题 。 他 最 感兴趣 的 是 我 为什么 要 带 洗衣粉 ，我 说 这 和 我 带 几包 方便面 一样 ，为了 方便 也 为了 省钱 。 他 又 追问 ，为什么 把 洗衣粉 的 袋子 换掉 。 我 解释 ，中国 洗衣粉 袋子 不 牢固 ，不 适合 出差 带 ，于是 我 把 它们 装进 牢固 塑料袋 子里 ，何况 ，我 也 用不完 一整包 。 最后 他 没有 再 问 ，就 去 旁边 处理 其他 的 事情 ，不过 我 左右 两个 关员 仍然 忠于 职守 地 守 着 我 。

折腾 了 足足 有 四十 分钟 ，他们 才 在 一声声 抱歉 耽误 了 我 的 时间 的 道歉 声 后 ，让 我 离开 。 一出 关口 ，远远 的 就 看见 老同学 王 小海 在 那里 翘首以盼 ，他 一副 不管不顾 的 样子 ，站 在 禁区 黄线 上 ，那 样子 让 我 有些 感动 。 我 的 朋友 不 多 ，在 异国他乡 的 地方 只要 有 大学 的 老同学 ，我 总是 先 和 他们 联系 。 毕业 十几年 了 ，大家 都 不约而同 地 盼望 有 机会 相聚 。 这种 想 见见 老同学 的 愿望 一般 在 大学 毕业 十年 后 最为 强烈 ，其 原因 不难 理解 。 光阴 似 箭 ，岁月 如 飞 ，你 身边 的 东西 和 你 自己 都 在 潜移默化 地 不停 改变 ，可是 由于 你 每天 照镜子 ，你 无法 知道 你 和 十年 前 的 自己 到底 有 什么 不同 ，于是 你 突然 想见 一个 老同学 。 见面 后 ，通常 有 两种 情况 ，老同学 保养 良好 ，基本 棱角 没什么 变化 ，于是 你 说 ：“你 还是 那么 年轻 ，一点 没有 变化 呀 ！ ”另外 一种 情况 是 那 本来 熟悉 的 老同学 经已 面貌 全非 ，于是 在 暗暗 心惊 之下 ，你 说 ：“哎呀 ，变得 成熟 多 了 ！ ”可是 无论 见面 时 出现 上面 哪 一种 情景 ，你 心里 都 想 的 是 自己的 变 与 不变 在 老同学 看来 又 是 怎么 想 的 。

王 小海 站 在 那里 的 样子 此时此刻 就 给 我 这样 的 想法 。 他 是 上个世纪 90 年代 初 来到 美国 的 ，此后 在 我们 同学 的 通信 中 消失 了 好几年 时间 。 后来 据说 拿到 美国 绿卡 后 又 开始 和 同学们 联系 起来 。 他 个子 不高 ，戴着 一副 眼镜 ，文质彬彬 的 样子 ，当然 那 是 十几年 前 在 学校 的 印象 。 此时 向 我 走 过来 的 王 小海 则 怎么 看 怎么 都 显得 有些 粗糙 ，他 看起来 好象 有 五十岁 了 。 也许 是 机场 光线 的 问题 ，我 从 哪个 角度 都 觉得 他 有些 驼背 。 我们 没有 拥抱 ，两人 一边 握手 一边 盯 着 对方 的 脸 细心 端详 ,大家 都 从 对方 的 眼里 看到 了 内心 的 激动 和 感慨 ，接着 大家 都 爽快 地 笑 起来 。

坐在 小海 刚刚 买 的 二手 本田雅阁 向 家 走 的 路上 ，小海 告诉 我 他 出来 这些 年 的 经历 ，满嘴 牢骚 ，满口 怨言 ，让 我 这个 老同学 特别 感动 。 一般来说 ， 那些 出国 的 人 ， 特别 是 得到 绿卡 拿到 身份 的 在 接待 我们 这些 国内 出来 的 老同学 时 经常 都 强颜欢笑 ， 处处 要 胜人一筹 的 样子 。 小海 不是 这样 ，他 一路 抱怨 ，先是 从 自己 出来 晚 了 两年 ，错过 了 “六四 ”绿卡 开始 ，一直 到 选择 学习 政治 专业 ，毕业 后 根本 找 不到 工作 ，最后 只好 到 餐馆 打工 ，好不容易 靠 伪造 材料 获得 了 绿卡 ，也 辛辛苦苦 积攒 了 一点 钱 ，才 发现 自己 已经 老大不小 了 。 当 有 时间 和 心情 开始 接触 国内 出来 的 老同学 老朋友 的时候 ，却 发现 原来 出来 的 无论 是 老同学 也好 ，老朋友 也好 ，一个个 看起来 都 活得 比 自己 滋润 ，心里 不知道 有 多 别扭 。 随即 小海 严肃 地 问 我 ，国内 这些 年 发展 真 那么 快 吗 ？ 有钱人 真 那么 多 ？ 怎么 和 国家 的 统计数字 有些 不 相符 呀 ？ 他 说 自己 刚刚 买 了 一栋 小 公寓 ，付 了 五万 美金 的 首期 ，另外 二十五万 要 20 年 付清 ，所以 他 真 没有 心情 自己 回 大陆 去 搞清楚 ，他 希望 我 这个 老同学 可以 帮 他 解答 这个 问题 。

我 不 知道 该 如何 回答 ，“ 其实 你 已经 有车有房 了 ， 虽然 房子 只付 了 五 万美金 ， 可是 那 在 国内 也 不是 个 小 数字 啊 ， 何况 你 能 在 这里 见到 的 老同学 老朋友 都 是 混 得 不错 的 。 ”“哈 ，你 老兄 想必 混得 也 可以 吧 。 ”小海 笑 起来 。 “你 这次 来 不光 是 为了 拿 毕业文凭 吧 ？ 仅仅 那样 的话 让 学校 邮寄 给 你 不 就 得 了 ，还有 什么 任务 吧 ？ ”“什么 任务 ，你 又 不是 不 知道 我 已经 离开 国家 单位 了 。 我 这次 来 也 是 有点 怀旧 ，想 看看 ‘911' 后 的 纽约 还 是不是 那个 样子 。 另外 我 也 想 见 一见 郭 青青 ，如果 可以 还要 到 华盛顿 去 见见 刘 明伟 。 ”“真 奇怪 ，你 和 郭 青青 这么 多年 分分合合 ，都 在 纽约 的时候 大家 不 来往 ，现在 分手 都 好几年 了 ，又 千里迢迢 的 过来 探望 ，看起来 你 还 挺 念旧 的 。 ”小海 表情 突然 变得 有些 落寞 。 开 了 一会 车 ，叹 了 一口气 道 ：“我们 老同学 在 这里 的 总共 没有 几个 ，海鹏 还 回去 了 ，你 也 回去 了 ，一个班 四十 人 ，现在 在 这里 的 才 三个 。 你 看 我 又 混得 这 样子 不成器 ，你 看 人家 理工科 专业 的 ，我们 那 一届 每 一班 至少 有 二十 人 在 美国 。 北京大学 和 清华大学 的 有些 理工科 专业 如果 开 同学会 ，在 美国 的 要 比 在 中国 的 多 很多 ，哪象 我们 ，在 这里 孤单单 的 就 那么 几个 人 。 都 是 我们 选择 学习 什么 狗屁 政治 和 国际 关系 的 原因 ，毕业 出来 完全 用不上 。 ”他 停 了 一下 ，喃喃地 说 ：“当然 也 不是 完全 用不上 ，主要 是 看 你 愿不愿意 把 以前 所学 的 全部 忘掉 ，听说 刘明伟 在 华盛顿 就 干得 不错 。 ”从 机场 到 小海 的新家 足足 两个 多 小时 的 车程 ，一路上 我们 一会 高声 大笑 ，一会 沉默不语 ，显然 老同学 见面 ，大家 都 很 放松 。 我 顺手 按 了 一下 车子 上 的 音响 开关 ，结果 磁夹 里 没有 磁带 ，这 让 我 想起来 小海 托 我 从 国内 带来 的 音乐 磁带 。 我 打开 包 把 磁带 拿 出来 ，算是 我 给 小海 的 礼物 。 这些 磁带 大多 是 七 八十年代 流行 在 中国 的 铿锵有力 的 革命 歌曲 和 抒情歌曲 ， 从 “ 红太阳 ” 系列 到 “ 草原 之歌 ”， 从 “ 北京 的 金山 上 ” 到 “ 翻身 奴儿 把 歌唱 ”， 最新 的 一盘 也 是 八十年代 底 流行 在 北大 校园 的 校园 歌曲 。 我 想 找 一盘 塞进去 ，就 在 那 翻找 起来 。

“你 大概 早就 不 喜欢 这些 歌曲 了 吧 ？ ”小海 看 我 好象 找不出 什么 好听 的 。

我 说 我 无所谓 ，只是 觉得 这些 歌曲 都 太 老 了 ，大学 毕业 后 的 几乎 都 找 不到 ，不过 我 也 马上 意识 到 ，大学 以后 有些 什么 新歌 我 也 叫 不出 名字 。

“我 不 知道 为什么 ，就是 对 现在 流行 的 歌曲 提不起 劲头 。 ”小海 说 ，“对于 以前 小孩子 和 大学 时代 的 歌曲 却 百听不厌 。 ” “ 你 这样 一说 ， 我 也 有 同感 ， 我 原来 以为 那 是因为 大学 后 自己 对 歌曲 和 音乐 不再 感兴趣 的 缘故 呢 ， 现在 想想 ， 大学毕业 后 这 十几年 我 都 无法 说出 一首 流行歌曲 的 名字 。 ” “ 我 觉得 ， 老一辈 中国 人 就 那么 几首 歌曲 就 哼唱 了 一辈子 ， 我们 那时 算是 多 了 一些 了 ， 可 你 看 现在 ， 每天 都 有 新 歌曲 和 新人 冒出来 ， 每个 星期 的 流行 排行榜 都 不同 。 ”“现在 几乎 每个 人 每个 不同 的 心情 都 有 一首 相应 的 流行歌曲 。 你 有点 烦 ，于是 就 有 了 ‘今天 有点 烦 '，你 失恋 了 ，呵 ，至少 有 几百首 歌曲 可以 配合 你 的 心情 让 你 仿佛 觉得 那 歌曲 是 专为 你 而 写 的 。 如果 你 得意洋洋 或者 喝 了 点小酒 ， 那些 形容 你 在 天上 飞来飞去 ， 飘来 去 的 歌 就 更加 比 雪花 还 多 。 ” “ 那么 多 流行歌曲 都 是 配合 你 的 心情 而 写 的 ， 也 就是 让 你 悲伤 的 时候 更加 悲伤 ， 快乐 的 时候 更加 快乐 。 ” 我 点点头 表示同意 。

“哪象 我们 那时 的 歌曲 ，虽然 品种 不 多 ，可是 每 一首 听来 都 让 你 热血沸腾 ，极积 向上 。 ”小海 兴奋 地 说 。

我 笑 着 点点头 ，随便 抽出 一盘 带子 放进 二手车 老旧 的 音响 里 ，我 想 任何 老同学 见面 都 还有 另外 一个 好处 ，就是 大家 都 不会 认为 自己 过时 过气 了 。

接下来 的 时间 我们 一边 欣赏 大学 时 都 会 唱 的 歌曲 ，一边 大声 地 说 着 ，笑 着 。 汽车 在 高速公路 上 向 王 小海 的 家 奔去 。
