'Bugatti Killer' Stars at 2016 NYC Auto Show

The New York International Auto Show is underway here at the Javits Center in Manhattan, and among the jaw-dropping models on display, is one some are calling the "Bugatti Killer." The annual event kicked off Friday, March 25, with more than a million car fans expected. Among the stars of this year's show is the Koenigsegg Regera. The 1,500-plus horsepower gullwing Swedish monster can reach 62 mph in only 2.8 seconds, and has a top speed of 248 mph. The high-performance car is the creation of founder Christian von Koenigsegg, who boasted that the true power rating may be closer to a staggering 1,800 horsepower.

Bloomberg reports the company expects to make about 80 of them, each with an estimated price tag of $2 million. The Auto Show runs till April 3.
