Hi everyone, and welcome back to Seattle Learning Academy's American English Pronunciation Podcast. My name is Mandy, and this is our 54th episode.

I want to first apologize that there will not be a lesson today; March has been a tremendously busy month for me. I was out of town one week giving teacher training, and last week I was in Denver, Colorado at the conference for Teachers of Speakers of Other Languages otherwise known as TESOL. I learned a lot of fantastic things at the TESOL conference that I can't wait to share with all of you, just as soon as I catch up with everything else. Please forgive me for making this podcast a promotional announcement instead of a lesson. I've mentioned a few times that I'll have my new Rhythm book out on May 15, 2009, and I want to let you all know that you can pre-buy it now for a big discount! The discount gets less as May 16th gets closer, so the sooner you purchase it, the better. Full price for the physical book will be $48, but if you pre-buy it before April 18, it will be only $38, you you save 10 dollars. The full price for the ebook will be $38, but if you pre-buy it before April 18, it will only be $28. That's a really big savings for you! All of the audio for this brand-new book is included in the purchase price.

This book has full chapters on everything associated with rhythm, including linking, sentence stress, and pitch. There are lots of brand new listening activities that will be included with your book download, or shipped on a CD with your book.

Also, this week I need to send a huge thank you to a listener in Chicago for his donation last week. I'm so sorry I didn't get a thank you out to you right away, but I just didn't get the chance to while I was in Denver. Thank you so much.

Everyone's purchases from Pronuncian and your much appreciated donations are the only thing that keep these podcasts coming to you every week, and keep Pronuncian running with so much free material and great added material for subscribers. What you see on the surface of Pronuncian is tiny compared to all the programming and background work that goes into it. We depend entirely on our listeners and users to keep it going. If you appreciate the service we provide for you, please, make a purchase, join Pronuncian, or make a donation. Even small donations are a big help.

Thanks for listening everyone. I'll be back next week with a full show and a brand new lesson. This has been a Seattle Learning Academy digital publication. SLA is where the world comes to learn.

Bye-bye
