Cogitant cum animis suis insani, non esse Deum: adeo depravata et detestanda sunt natura, ut nullus recte faciat.

2 Iova de coelo despexit hominum genus, ut videret num quis ita saperet, ut Deum curaret.

3 Universi (proh scelus) deflexerunt, ut non sit qui recte faciat, ne unus quidem.

4 An non intelligunt tot malefici, qui meos comedunt, sese panem comesse Iovae, quem non invocant?

4 Do they not understand, all these evildoers who eat my bread, that they are eating the bread of Jupiter, whom they do not invoke?
5 Sed aliquando pavore corripientur: nam Deus adest generi iustorum.
but|sometimes|fear|they will be seized|for||is present|of the race|of the just
5 But at times they will be seized with dread: for God is present to the race of the just.
6 Vos inopum consilium exprobratis, quorum fiducia Iova sit.

6 You reproach the counsel of the needy, whose trust is in Jupiter.
7 Quis ex Sione salutem det Israelitis?
