زندگی غولها | قسمت ۲ : جف بزوس

توی این قسمت از سری ویدیوهای زندگی غول‌ها،

رفتم سراغ کسی که خیلی توی کامنتا پیشنهاد داده بودید، یعنی جف بزوس،

تاجر بزرگ و کارآفرین آمریکایی، موسس شرکت آمازون و چندتا شرکت دیگه.

از این به بعد، توی این سری، اگه شماهم موافق باشید،

زندگی هر غولو به چهار قسمت تقسیم میکنم و درباره‌ش توضیح میدم:

اول میرم سراغ زندگی شخصی، بعد شغل‌ها و منابع درآمدشونو میگم، بعدش ویژگی‌های

شخصیتیشونو رو میکنم، آخرشم میرم سراغ شکست‌ها و نقاط تاریک زندگیشون.

قسمت اول، زندگی شخصی:

جفری پرستون بزوس (Jeffrey Preston Bezos) یا جف بزوس،

که جف بِیزوس هم تلفظ می‌کنن، سال 1964 توی شهر

اَلبوکِرکی (Albuquerque) ایالت نیومکزیکوی آمریکا به دنیا اومد.

پدرش تد جورگنسن (Ted Jorgensen) یه جوون

18 ساله‌ی فقیر بود که توی سیرک کار می‌کرد.

مادرش جَکلین گیس (jacklyn gise) گیس‌بریده بود که

17 سالش بود و توی دبیرستان درس می‌خوند.

حاصل ازدواجشون Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen یا همین جف بزوس

خودمون بود، اما اینکه چی شد فامیلیش از جورگنسن به بزوس تغیر کرد، الان میگم.

ازدواج پدرومادرش یک سال و نیم بعد، به خاطر

مشکلاتی که یکیش دائم‌الخمر بودن پدرش بود، به طلاق کشید.

بعد از طلاق با مادرش زندگی کرد و پدرشم برای همیشه از زندگیش بیرون رفت.

سه سال بعد، مادرش با یه مهاجر کوبایی به نام میگل بزوس (Miguel Bezos)

که الان با نام مایک بزوس شناخته میشه ازدواج کرد.

ناپدریش جفری رو به فرزندخوندگی قبول کرد و

فامیلی جفری هم به بزوس تغییر کرد.

جالب اینجاست که سال 2012 یعنی تقریبا 45 سال بعد،

یه نویسنده‌ای که داشت داستان زندگی جف بزوس رو می‌نوشت،

پدر واقعیشو پیدا کرد و بهش گفت که این میلیاردر معروف پسرته.

بعد از ازدواج مادرش وقتی جفری 4 سالش بود، به شهر میامی مهاجرت کردن.

توی دوران نوجوونیش، تعطیلات تابستونیشو توی مزرعه‌ی پدربزرگ مادریش می‌گذروند.

از همون بچگی علاقه‌ی زیادی به کارای علمی و فنی داشت.

با کیت‌های الکترونیکی زیاد کار میکرد و سعی میکرد چیزای ساده درست کنه.

توی دبیرستانم دانش‌آموز ممتازی بود و تونست بورسیه‌ی تحصیلی بگیره.

بعد از دبیرستان وارد دانشگاه شد و شروع به خوندن فیزیک کرد،

اما بعدش رفت سراغ علاقه‌ی اصلیش یعنی کامپیوتر.

برای همین وارد دانشگاه پرینستون شد و رشته‌ی علوم کامپیوتر رو انتخاب کرد.

تا اینکه تو سن 22 سالگی از دانشگاه فارغ‌التحصیل شد.

بعدش توی چند تا شرکت مختلف از جمله فیتل (First International Telecom) و

Bankers Trust و D.E. Shaw کار کرد و

موقعیت شغلی خوبیم داشتو حسابی هم موفق بود.

سال 1992 وقتی که معاون رییس شرکت D.E. Shaw بود

با یکی از کارمندای همونجا به نام MacKenzie Tuttle مککنزی تاتل

آشنا شد و یه سال بعدش با هم ازدواج کردن.

سال بعد وقتی ایده‌ی آمازون به ذهن جف بزوس رسیده بود، خودش و

خانومش از کار خوب و پردرآمدشون استعفا دادن و به سیاتل مهاجرت کردن.

اولین بچه‌شون سال 2000 به دنیا اومد که یه پسر بود.

توی سالای بعدی دو تا پسر دیگه به خانواده‌شون

اضافه شد و یه دختر چینی هم به سرپرستی گرفتن.

پیشرفتا و مایه‌دارشدنشون با سرعت زیاد ادامه داشت

که جلوتر توی بخش خودش درباره‌ش صحبت میکنم.

ازدواج جفری و مککنزی 25 سال دووم آورد تا اینکه

سال 2019 اعلام کردن که میخوان طلاق بگیرن.

یه کم بعد، یه خبری منتشر شد که جف بزوس به صورت پنهانی با

یه گوینده‌ی خبر معروف به نام lauren sanchez لورن سنچز رابطه داشته،

دلیل طلاقشم این بوده که زنش از این موضوع باخبر میشه.

جالب اینجاست که شوهر لورن سنچز یکی از دوستای جف بزوس بوده

و احتمالا جف بزوس و سنچز اینجوری باهم آشنا شدن.

بعد از لو رفتن قضیه، سنچز و شوهرش هم از هم طلاق گرفتن.

طلاق جف بزوس اما اصلا براش ارزون تموم نشد.

چون زنش از اولین سهامدارای آمازون هم بود.

از این طلاق چیزی حدود 35 میلیارد دلار

به زنش رسید و شد سومین زن ثروتمند جهان.

قبل از طلاقشون معروف بود که جف بزوس و زنش پولدارترین زوج کل تاریخن.

الان زنش با یه استاد علوم به نام Dan Jewett داره زندگی میکنه.

جف بزوس و لورن سنچز هم هنوز به عنوان دوست‌دختر دوست‌پسر با همن.

قسمت دوم، شغل‌ها و منابع درآمد:

خب گفتم که جف بزوس بعد از دانشگاه، توی چند تا شرکت مختلف کار می‌کرد و

اتفاقا موقعیتای شغلی خوبی هم داشت، اما اون موقع،

یعنی سال 1994 تب اینترنت خیلی داغ شده بود و کله‌ها پر از ایده‌های نو بود.

جف بزوسم که متوجه این فرصت طلایی، یعنی اینترنت،

شده بود تصمیم گرفت یه کاری توی این زمینه انجام بده.

اونموقع فروشگاه‌های زیادی بودن که به صورت پستی کار می‌کردن.

یعنی لیست محصولاتشونو برای مشتری ارسال میکردن

بعد از اینکه مشتری انتخاب میکرد، محصول از طریق پست براش ارسال میشد.

هر چیزی به این روش فروخته میشد غیر از کتاب،

دلیلشم این بود که چون کتابای خیلی زیادی وجود داره،

عملا امکانش نیست که لیست همه‌ی کتابا رو توی کاتالوگ به مشتریا نشون داد.

برای همین جف بزوس تصمیم گرفت از اینترنت برای حل این مشکل استفاده کنه.

جف بزوس دقیقا رفته بود سراغ یه فرصت طلایی.

یعنی یه چیزی که احتمالا خیلیا از کنارش گذشته بودن و

متوجه ارزشش نشده بودن، پیدا کرد و روش کار کرد.

یه دفتر خیلی ساده توی گاراژ خونه‌ش راه انداخت و خانومشم شد اولین حسابدارش.

مادرش و ناپدریش هم پس‌انداز دوران بازنشتسگیشون که حدود 250 هزار

دلار بود، بهش قرض دادن و این شد سرمایه‌ی اولیه‌ی کارش.

اون زمان که اینترنت چیز جدیدی بود، هنوز خیلیا بهش باور نداشتن،

اینا خیلی بهش اعتماد داشتن که همچین پولی بهش دادن.

البته خیلی زود به بهترین شکل جواب اعتمادشونو گرفتن و میلیاردر شدن!

اولین اسمی که برای فروشگاه اینترنتیشون انتخاب کرده بودن cadabra بود

که از abracadabra میاد که همون اجی‌مجی‌لاترجی خودمونه.

اما بعدا اسمشو تغییر دادن به آمازون.

چیزی که از همون اول خیلی بهش اهمیت میدادن نظرات مشتریاشون بود.

اولش فقط کتاب میفروختن اما کم کم مشتریا شروع کردن به درخواست چیزای دیگه.

برا همین سی‌دی و لوازم خانگی هم یواش‌یواش به لیست فروششون اضافه شد.

این پیشرفت همینطور ادامه داشت تا اینکه

آمازون کم کم به جایی رسید که هر چیزی داخلش فروخته میشد.

توی لوگوشم اگه دقت کرده باشید یه فلش زرد از حرف a به حرف z کشیده شده

که یه جور استعاره‌س از اینکه هرچیزی رو میشه داخل آمازون پیدا کرد،

از حرف a تا حرف z .

کمتر از یه سال بعد از تاسیس، آمازون از سراسر

آمریکا و چندتا کشور خارجی دیگه سفارش میگرفت.

سال 1999 آمازون به حدی رشد کرد که جف بزوس

طرف مجله‌ی تایمز به عنوان شخصیت برتر سال انتخاب شد.

سال 2008 طبق اعلام مجله‌ی فوربز، پولش رسید به

8 میلیارد دلار و شد صدودهمین مرد ثروتمند جهان.

هفت سال بعد ثروتش رسید به 60 میلیارد دلار.

دو سال بعدش یعنی سال 2017 بیل گیتس رو جا گذاشت و شد ثروتمندترین مرد جهان!

درآمد سال 2018 آمازون از کل دنیا، 230 میلیارد دلار اعلام شد.

بعد از این همه‌گیری کرونا که دیگه آمازون ترکوند.

الان جف بزوس با سرمایه‌ای حدود 200 میلیارد دلار، ثروتمندترین آدم دنیاست.

آمازون اینقد موفق بوده که الان ما وقتی کلمه‌ی آمازون رو میشنویم، قبل از اینکه

یاد بزرگترین جنگلهای دنیا یا طولانی ‌ترین رودخانه‌ی دنیا بیوفتیم

که اسمشون آمازونه، یاد شرکت آمازون میوفتیم.

بزرگ‌ترین فروشگاه اینترنتی جهان که توی تمام کشورها ازش کپی‌برداری شده.

جالب اینکه اینقد ایده‌ی نابی بوده که کپی‌هاشم موفقیتای آنچنانی داشتن!

آمازون الان کنار گوگل و اپل و مایکروسافت و فیسبوک،

جزو پنج شرکت اول آی‌تی توی آمریکاست.

اما جف بزوس فقط به آمازون بسنده نکرد.

بحثای مربوط به فضا و سفرای فضایی از همون بچگی جزو علایقش بود.

برای همین سال 2000 شرکت blue origin رو تاسیس کرد.

اهداف این شرکت میشه گفت شبیه اهداف شرکت اسپیس‌ایکس ایلان ماسکه،

یعنی پایین آوردن هزینه‌ی سفرهای فضایی با موشکهایی که قابلیت استفاده‌ی مجدد دارن.

Blue origin یعنی مبدا آبی‌رنگ که میشه گفت

اشاره به کره‌ی زمینه که مبدا و منشا ما انساناست.

جف بزوس هر سال یک میلیارد دلار از سهام آمازون

خودشو میفروشه و خرج بلو اوریجین میکنه.

جف بزوس یکی از اولین سرمایه‌گذارای گوگل هم هست.

سال 1998، وبسایت معروف imbd رو خرید که

یه بانک اطلاعاتی خیلی بزرگ از فیلم و سریال و بازیای ویدیوییه.

سال بعدشم وبسایت alexa رو خرید که یکی از

پرکاربردترین سایتا توی تجزیه و تحلیل صفحات وبه.

خلاصه اینکه کم‌کم کلی شرکت و سایت دیگه اومدن زیرمجموعه‌ی آمازون.

بعدشم سال 2013 روزنامه‌ی واشنگتن پست رو به قیمت 250 میلیون دلار خرید

تا اون امپراطوری عظیم خودشو با یه رسانه‌ی قوی تکمیل کنه.

یکی دیگه از کارای بزرگ جف بزوس شرکت Bezos Expeditions هست که

سرمایه‌گذاری‌های شخصیشو از طریق این شرکت انجام میده.

خیلی از شرکتا و سایتای معروف سرمایه‌ی اولیه‌شونو از همین Bezos Expeditions

گرفتن، مثل توییتر و اوبر و بیزنس اینسایدر و ایربی‌ان‌بی و چند شرکت دیگه.

قسمت سوم، ویژگی ‌های شخصیتی:

جف بزوس کلا مرد خانواده‌داریه. البته تا قبل از اینکه گند بزنه به همه چیز!

توی خونه ظرفا رو میشوره، زمان زیادی با خانواده‌ش صرف می‌کنه،

صبح‌ها برای بیدار شدن ساعت کوک نمیکنه و وعده‌ی صبحانه براش اهمیت خیلی زیادی داره.

آدم برون‌گراییه و دوس داره با بقیه آدما ارتباط برقرار کنه.

یه قانون عجیبی برای خودش داره به نام قانون دو پیتزا.

فقط توی ملاقاتا و جلساتی شرکت میکنه که تمام آدماشو بشه با دو تا پیتزا سیر کرد!

یعنی هر ملاقاتی با مدیرای شرکتاش یا آدمای دیگه بخواد

انجام بده اول چک میکنه که این قانون نقض نشه!

دلیلشم اینه که فکر میکنه اینجوری فقط مهمترینا و اصلی‌ترین

آدما توی اون جلسه هستن، اینجوری جلسه پربارتر و مفیدتر میشه.

یه ویژگی دیگه‌ش اینه که شدیدا جزیی‌نگره.

توی تمام کارایی که انجام میده اصرار زیادی داره که

تمام جزییات موضوع رو بدونه و کنترل کاملی روشون داشته باشه.

اینطور که کارمندای قدیمی‌تر آمازون میگن، یه کمی با کارمنداش بددهنه.

اگه کسی از استاندارداش عبور کنه ممکنه بهش فحاشی کنه.

یه خصلت دیگه‌ای که داره اینه که حسابی اهل رقابته.

این رقابتو بین کارمنداشم جا میندازه و کاری میکنه که مقابل همدیگه قرار بگیرن.

بخش چهارم یعنی بخش آخر، شکست‌ها و نقاط تاریک زندگی:

خب قبل از هرچیزی باید بگم که جف بزوس اصلا به ریسک‌های بزرگ معروفه.

همین آمازونم اولش ریسک خیلی بزرگی بود.

اما اینطوری نیست که چون جف بزوسه، هر پروژه‌ای که شروع میکنه حتما موفق میشه.

خودش میگه ما هر پروژه‌ای رو که شروع میکنیم 90 درصد احتمال

شکست میدیم و 10 درصد احتمال موفقیت.

یعنی ببینید این جف بزوس با اون همه دبدبه کبکبه ش،

نود درصد احتمال شکست میذاره برای یه کاری که میخواد شروع بکنه

بعد ما خیلی‌هامون انتظار داریم کاری که می‌خوایم شروع بکنیم،

مثلا نود درصد هشتاد درصد احتمال موفقیت داشته باشه

تا شروعش کنیم اینا همه درسه دیگه باید یاد گرفت از اینا.

اتفاقا این ویژگی جف بزوس باعث شکست‌های بزرگیم شده براش

مثل گوشی موبایل fire phone یا سایت رزرو هتل Amazon Destinations

اما در عوضش چیزایی مثل amazon web services و تبلت‌های Kindle fire

موفقیت‌های خیلی بزرگی براش داشتن مخصوصا Amazon Web services.

ولی شاید یکی از اتفاقای بد زندگیشو بتونیم طلاقش و

اون ماجراهای بعدش درنظر بگیریم که یه مقدار درباره‌ش صحبت کردم.

قضیه‌ی رابطه‌ش با اون مجری معروف خیلی بیخ پیدا کرد و

یه سری پیام‌های خصوصی که به اون خانوم داده بود لو رفت.

یکی از مجله‌ها هم اعلام کرد عکس‌هایی از جف بزوس داره که به دلایل اخلاقی منتشر نمیکنه.
