約翰福音11 John 11

有 一個 患病 的 人 ， 名叫 拉撒 路 ， 住 在 伯大尼 ， 就是 馬利亞 和 他 姐姐 馬 大 的 村莊 。 There was a sick man named Lazarus who lived in Bethany, the village of Mary and his sister Martha. 這 馬利亞 就是 那用 香膏 抹 主 ， 又 用 頭髮 擦 他 腳 的 ； 患病 的 拉撒 路 是 他 的 兄弟 。 This Mary was the one who anointed the Lord and wiped his feet with her hair; Lazarus the sick was his brother. 他 姐妹 兩個 就 打發 人去 見 耶穌 ， 說 ： 主阿 ， 你 所愛 的 人 病 了 。 The two sisters sent to Jesus, saying, "Lord, the one you love is sick." 耶穌 聽見 ， 就 說 ： 這病 不至於 死 ， 乃是 為 神 的 榮耀 ， 叫 神 的 兒子 因此 得 榮耀 。 When Jesus heard it, he said, This disease is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified by it. 耶穌 素來 愛 馬大 和 他 妹子 並 拉撒路 。 聽見 拉撒路 病 了 。 I heard that Lazarus was sick. 就 在 所 居 之 地 仍 住 了 兩天 。 He stayed in the same place for two days. 然後 對 門徒 說 ： 我們 再 往 猶太 去 罷 。 Then he said to his disciples: Let us go again to Judea. 門徒 說 ： 拉比 ， 猶太人 近來 要 拿 石頭 打 你 ， 你 還 往 那裡 去 麼 ？ 耶穌 回答 說 ： 白日 不是 有 十二 小時 麼 ？ Jesus answered: Are there not twelve hours in the day? 人 在 白日 走路 ， 就 不 至 跌倒 ， 因為 看見 這 世上 的 光 。 A man who walks in the day does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world. 若 在 黑夜 走路 ， 就 必 跌倒 ， 因為 他 沒有 光 。 耶穌 說 了 這話 ， 隨後 對 他們 說 ： 我們 的 朋友 拉撒 路 睡 了 ， 我 去 叫醒 他 。 門徒 說 ： 主阿 ， 他 若 睡 了 ， 就 必 好 了 。 耶穌 這話 是 指著 他 死 說 的 ， 他們 卻 以 為 是 說 照常 睡 了 。 Jesus said this about his death, but they thought it meant that he slept as usual. 耶穌 就 明明 的 告訴 他們 說 ： 拉撒 路 死 了 。 Jesus told them plainly: Lazarus is dead. 我 沒有 在 那裡 就 歡喜 ， 這是 為 你們 的 緣故 ， 好 叫 你們 相信 。 I rejoice when I am not there, for your sake, that you may believe. 如今 我們 可以 往 他 那裡 去罷 。 Now we can go to him. 多馬 ， 又稱 為 低 土馬 ， 就 對 那 同作 門徒 的 說 ： 我們 也 去 和 他 同死 罷 。 Thomas, also called Ditto, said to his fellow disciples: Let us also go and die with him. 耶穌 到 了 ， 就 知道 拉撒 路 在 墳墓 裡 已經 四天 了 。 伯大尼 離 耶路撒冷 不遠 ， 約 有 六 里 路 。 Bethany is not far from Jerusalem, about six miles away. 有 好些 猶太人 來看 馬 大 和 馬利亞 ， 要 為 他們 的 兄弟 安慰 他們 。 Many Jews came to see Martha and Mary to comfort them for their brother. 馬 大 聽見 耶穌 來 了 ， 就 出去 迎接 他 ； 馬利亞 卻 仍然 坐在 家裡 。 When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went out to meet him; but Mary remained at home. 馬 大 對 耶穌 說 ： 主阿 ， 你 若 早 在 這裡 ， 我 兄弟 必不死 。 就是 現在 ， 我 也 知道 ， 你 無論 向 神求 甚麼 ， 神 也 必 賜給 你 。 Even now, I know that whatever you ask God for, God will give you. 耶穌 說 ： 你 兄弟 必然 復活 。 Jesus said: Your brother will surely rise again. 馬 大 說 ： 我 知道 在 末日 復活 的 時候 ， 他 必 復活 。 Martha said: I know that at the resurrection at the last day, he will rise again. 耶穌 對 他 說 ： 復活 在 我 ， 生命 也 在 我 。 Jesus said to him: I am the resurrection and the life. 信 我 的 人 雖然 死 了 ， 也 必 復活 ， 凡 活著 信 我 的 人必 永遠 不死 。 Whoever believes in me shall live, though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. 你 信 這話 麼 ？ Do you believe this? 馬 大 說 ： 主阿 ， 是 的 ， 我信 你 是 基督 ， 是 神 的 兒子 ， 就是 那要 臨到 世界 的 。 Martha said: Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world. 馬 大 說 了 這話 ， 就 回去 暗暗 的 叫 他 妹子 馬利亞 ， 說 ： 夫子 來 了 ， 叫 你 。 After Martha said this, she went back and called his sister Mary secretly, saying, "The Master is here and I'm calling you." 馬利亞 聽見 了 ， 就 急忙 起來 ， 到 耶穌 那裡 去 。 When Mary heard this, she got up hastily and went to Jesus. 那時 ， 耶穌 還 沒有 進 村子 ， 仍 在 馬 大 迎接 他 的 地方 。 At that time, Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha met him. 那些 同 馬利亞 在家 裡 安慰 他 的 猶太人 ， 見 他 急忙 起來 出去 ， 就 跟 著 他 ， 以為 他 要 往 墳墓 那裡 去 哭 。 When the Jews who were with Mary at home comforting him, saw that he was hurried and went out, they followed him, thinking that he was going to the tomb and weeping. 馬利亞 到 了 耶穌 那裡 ， 看見 他 ， 就 俯伏 在 他 腳前 ， 說 ： 主阿 ， 你 若 早 在 這裡 ， 我 兄弟 必不死 。 Mary came to Jesus, and when she saw him, she fell down at his feet and said, Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 耶穌 看見 他 哭 ， 並 看見 與 他 同來 的 猶太人 也 哭 ， 就 心裡 悲歎 ， 又 甚 憂愁 ， 便 說 ： 你們 把 他 安放 在 那裡 ？ When Jesus saw him weeping, and the Jews who were with him weeping, he groaned in his heart, and was very distressed, and said, Where did you put him? 他們 回答 說 ： 請 主 來看 。 耶穌 哭 了 。 猶太人 就 說 ： 你 看 他 愛 這人 是 何等 懇切 。 The Jew said: Look how earnestly he loves this man. 其中 有人 說 ： 他 既然 開 了 瞎子 的 眼睛 ， 豈 不能 叫 這人 不死麼 ？ Some of them said: Since he opened the blind man's eyes, can't he keep this man from dying? 耶穌 又 心裡 悲 歎 ， 來到 墳墓 前 ； 那 墳墓 是 個 洞 ， 有 一塊 石頭 擋 著 。 Again Jesus groaned in his heart, and came to the tomb; the tomb was a hole, and there was a stone against it. 耶穌 說 ： 你們 把 石頭 挪開 。 Jesus said: Remove the stones. 那死 人 的 姐姐 馬 大 對 他 說 ： 主阿 ， 他 現在 必是 臭 了 ， 因為 他 死 了 已經 四天 了 。 耶穌 說 ： 我 不是 對 你 說過 ， 你 若信 ， 就 必 看見 神 的 榮耀 麼 ？ Jesus said: Didn't I tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God? 他們 就 把 石頭 挪開 。 耶穌 舉目 望天 ， 說 ： 父阿 ， 我 感謝 你 ， 因為 你 已經 聽 我 。 我 也 知道 你常 聽 我 ， 但 我 說 這話 是 為 周圍 站 著 的 眾人 ， 叫 他們 信是 你 差 了 我 來 。 I also know that you always listen to me, but I say this for the people standing around, so that they may believe that you have sent me. 說 了 這話 ， 就 大聲 呼叫 說 ： 拉撒 路 出來 ！ 那死 人 就 出來 了 ， 手腳 裹 著 布 ， 臉上 包 著 手巾 。 耶穌 對 他們 說 ， 解開 ， 叫 他 走 ！ Jesus said to them, Untie and let him go! 那些 來看 馬利亞 的 猶太人 見 了 耶穌 所 做 的 事 ， 就 多 有 信 他 的 ； 但 其中 也 有 去 見 法利賽 人 的 ， 將 耶穌 所 做 的 事 告訴 他們 。 Many of the Jews who came to Mary saw what Jesus had done, and many believed in him; but some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done. 祭司長 和 法利賽 人 聚集 公會 ， 說 ： 這人 行 好些 神蹟 ， 我們 怎麼辦 呢 ？ The chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together in the Sanhedrin and said, "This man has done many miracles, what shall we do? 若 這樣 由著 他 ， 人人 都 要 信 他 ， 羅馬 人 也 要來 奪 我們 的 地土 和 我們 的 百姓 。 If he is left in this way, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take our land and our people. 內中 有 一個 人 ， 名叫 該亞法 ， 本年 作 大祭司 ， 對 他們 說 ： 你們 不 知道 甚麼 。 Among them was a man named Caiaphas, who was high priest this year, and said to them, You know nothing. 獨 不想 一個 人 替 百姓 死 ， 免得 通 國 滅亡 ， 就是 你們 的 益處 。 It is for your benefit that you do not want one person to die for the people, lest the whole nation perish. 他 這話 不是 出於 自己 ， 是 因 他 本年 作 大祭司 ， 所以 預言 耶穌 將要 替 這一國 死 ； 也 不但 替 這一國 死 ， 並要 將神 四散 的 子民 都 聚集 歸一 。 He did not say this from himself, but because he was the high priest this year, so he prophesied that Jesus would die for this nation, not only for this nation, but to gather together all the scattered people of God into one. 從 那日 起 ， 他們 就 商議 要 殺 耶穌 。 所以 ， 耶穌 不再 顯然 行在 猶太人 中間 ， 就 離開 那裡 往 靠近 曠野 的 地方 去 ， 到 了 一座 城 ， 名叫 以法蓮 ， 就 在 那裡 和 門徒 同 住 。 So Jesus, no longer evidently walking among the Jews, left there and went to a place near the wilderness, and came to a city called Ephraim, and there he dwelt with his disciples. 猶太人 的 逾越節 近 了 ， 有 許多 人 從 鄉下 上 耶路撒冷 去 ， 要 在 節前 潔淨 自己 。 他們 就 尋找 耶穌 ， 站 在 殿裡 彼此 說 ： 你們 的 意思 如何 ， 他 不來 過節 麼 ？ So they searched for Jesus, and they stood in the temple and said to one another, What do you think, that he is not coming for the feast? 那時 ， 祭司長 和 法利賽 人 早已 吩咐 說 ， 若 有人 知道 耶穌 在 那裡 ， 就要 報 明 ， 好 去 拿 他 。 At that time the chief priests and the Pharisees had already given orders that if anyone knew that Jesus was there, they should report it so that they might go and get him.
