熊本 県 で は 去年 、 大きな 地震 が ありました 。 この 地震 で 、 有名な 城 の 熊本 城 の 天守閣 の 屋根 の 上 に 飾って あった 「 しゃちほこ 」 が 、 落ちたり して 壊れました 。 この ため 、 熊本 市 は 大きな 天守閣 と 小さな 天守閣 の 上 に 飾る しゃちほこ を 、２ つ ずつ 新しく 作りました 。 新しい しゃちほこ は 、 前 と 同じ 形 です 。 大きな 天守閣 に 飾る 物 は 高 さ が １１９ ｃｍ で 、 重 さ が １００ ｋｇ です 。 小さな 天守閣 に 飾る 物 は 高 さ が ８６ ｃｍ 、 重 さ が ７０ ｋｇ です 。

大きな 天守閣 の しゃちほこ は ２０１８ 年 ２ 月 まで 、 小さな 天守閣 の しゃちほこ は ２０１９ 年 ８ 月 まで 、 熊本 城 の 隣 に ある 建物 で 見せる 予定 です 。

熊本 市 の 大西 市長 は 「 近く で しゃちほこ を 見る こと が できる の は 今 だけ な ので 、 たくさんの 人 に 見 に 来て ほしい です 」 と 話しました 。
