1. 라면천국

온라인 동호회 '라면천국'은 라면을 좋아하는 사람들이 만든 모임이다. 이 모임은 10년 전에 한 라면 회사 직원이 라면을 좋아하는 사람들의 이야기를 듣고 싶어서 만들었다. 그 후 회원이 계속 늘어서 현재는 6만 7천 명이 넘는다. 우리나라에서 제일 큰 라면 동아리인 이 모임은 그 동안 TV와 라디오 방송, 잡지에도 여러 번 소개되었다.

이 모임의 회원들은 다양한 라면 정보를 서로 나눌 뿐만 아니라 자신만의 라면 끓이는 비법을 공개한다. 인터넷에는 김치, 치즈처럼 라면과 잘 어울리는 재료를 넣고 끓이는 간단한 요리법은 물론 라볶이나 라파게티, 잡채 라면 등 개성이 넘치는 요리법도 있다. 이들은 라면 요리 비법과 이야기들을 모아 '라면천국' 이라는 책도 냈는데 이 책에 소개된 라면 요리법은 우리의 상식을 뛰어넘는다. 라면 위에 아이스크림을 올린 아이스크림 라면이나 초코 시럽을 뿌린 초코 라면 등 우리가 상상할 수 없는 것도 많다.

이들은 오프라인 에서도 여러 활동을 한다. 동호회 회원들끼리 모여 전국 의 유명한 라면집을 찾아다니면서 직접 먹어보고 맛을 평가한다. 그리고 맛있는 집은 인터넷 사이트에 올려 소개한다. 이들이 낸 책에도 이렇게 찾아낸 전국의 맛있는 라면집이 소개되어 있다. 이들은 또한 라면 시식회가 열리는 곳과 라면 요리대회에도 빠지지 않고 다니면서 새로운 맛과 요리법에 대한 서로의 생각을 나눈다.

라면천국 회원들은 자기가 좋아하는 라면을 서로 소개하며 새로운 맛과 친구를 만난다. 전국의 라면집을 찾아다니며 새로운 장소와 사람을 만나기도 한다. 또한 고아원이나 양로원 등을 방문하여 라면을 끓여 주는 봉사 활동을 통해서 보람을 느낀다. 라면을 통한 새로운 세상과의 만남, 이것이 바로 이들이 삶에서 느끼는 즐거움이다.
