Adjectives in Punjabi are used to describe nouns and agree with the gender, number, and case of the noun they modify.

Agreement Rules

• Masculine singular nouns: The adjective often ends in -ਾ (a).
• Feminine singular nouns: The adjective ends in -ੀ (i).
• Plural nouns: The adjective ends in -ੇ (e) for both masculine and feminine.

Usage in Sentences:

• This is a small house. → ਇਹ ਛੋਟਾ ਘਰ ਹੈ। (Ih chhota ghar hai.)
• She has a beautiful dress. → ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੋਹਣੀ ਪੋਸ਼ਾਕ ਹੈ। (Us de kol sohni poshak hai.)
• They live in big cities. → ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ। (Oh vadde shehran vich rehnde han.)
