お 、 やっと ちゃんと した 免許 が ゲット できる と 思った ん です が 、 その 時 DMV に 行ったら 私 の 免許 の 申請 が Legal Presence Unitって とこ で 止まって て 、 DMV の ローカルオフィス から は アクセス できる ところ で は なくて 、 うん ちゃ らかん ちゃ ら ーって 言われて 、 電話 で 問い合わせて くださいって 電話 番号 を もらった けど 、 電話 して も いつも 「 CoVID の ため人員 を 削減 して 対応 して おります 。 現在 は 忙しい です 。 また あと でかけて ね ー 。」 ツーツーツー

って 感じ で 全然 話せ なくて 、

で 他の 番号 に 色々 問い合わせたら 、なんか 記入 する 書類 を もらって 、それ を 記入して VISA の コピー と 一緒に この 住所 に 送れば OK よ 、みたいな 指示 を もらって 、

お ー やっと だ ！ って 思って 言わ れた 通り の 書類 を 言わ れた 通り の 住所 に 送った んです が 、

1 ヶ月 経って も 、 2 ヶ月 経って も 、うんと も すんと も 動き が なく 、

でも 以前 の 更新 申請 が まだ どっか で active に 浮いてたら ややこしい ので 、一応 これまで の 経緯 も 説明して 、感触 としては 、対応してくれた 方 も テキパキ やってくれて 、状況 も 理解してくれてる みたいだし 、 これ で 、ついに 、ついに です よ 、8 ヶ月 遅れ で 新しい 免許証 の カード が 届く ので は ！ と 期待 して おります 。 あ 、あと ね 、また 話 が 変わる んです けど 、

今週 、この エピソード が アップ さ れる 今週 は 私 春 休み なんです ー ！

やった ー 。

普段 かなり やら なきゃ なら ない 課題 に 日々 追われて いる ので 、1 週間 リラックス して 過ごせる ー と ワクワク して います 。 嬉しい ！

テーマ 発表 します 。 「美容 と 健康 、そして 充実 」です 。 素晴らしい 。

美容 と 健康 は ね 、 ちょっと 4 月 5 月 を 美容 健康 強化 月間 に し たくて 、

それ に 先駆け まして 、ちょっと この 余裕 の ある 今週 に 色々 意識 して 取り組み 、ここ から の 2 ヶ月 の 良い スタート を 切りたい な と いう わけです 。 家 の 中 も ちょっと 荒れて いる ので 、整理 整頓 、掃除 も したい し 、部屋 の 乱れ は 心 の 乱れ です から ね 。 その辺 も 、心 の 健康 と いう こと で ね 、やっていきたい ですし 、そして 休み だ から と 言って ダラダラ 過ごして 終わる んじゃなくて 、ちゃんと 充実 した 1 週間 に したい です 。 大きな 予定 としては 、今週末 に 1泊 です が キャンプ に 行きます ！ お 友達 夫婦 と 一緒に なん です が 、楽しみ ー 。 近場 で リラックス キャンプ です 。

あと は ランチ の 予定 が 1 つ あります 。 これ も 久しぶり の お 友達 、お 友達 と 言って いい の かしら 、お 友達 ね 。 とっても お 世話 に なって いる お 友達 と の ランチ です 。

1年 以上 ぶり だ から たくさん おしゃべり して 楽しみたい と 思います 。 その他 は 、基本 家 に います が 、時間 に 追われ ずに 洗濯 したり 掃除 したり 、あと は 来週 再来週 に 向けて 少し だけ 勉強 も 進めて おきたい し 、4989 の 話たい トピック まとめたり も したい し 、本当 は ね 、ずっと やりたい プロジェクト が ストップ した まま な ので 、その辺 も 手 を つけたい けど 、絶対 あれこれ 考えて 、考える だけで 1 週間 終わって しまいそうです けど 、 時間 を 有効に 、充実 さ せつつ 、リラックス する 時間 も たくさん 取って 過ごしたい と 思います 。 こういう の すごく 久しぶり で 、

いい 感覚 、嬉しい 感覚 です 。

ずっと 1 年 以上 、時間 が たくさん ある 生活 を 送って て 、やる こと は ある けど 、そんなに 時間 に 追われてる とかも なく 、だから 結構 ダラダラ してしまう 日々 だった のが 、一転して すごく 忙しく なって 、 忙しい の ね 、大変 で は ある んです けど 、

こういう 休み の 期間 が ある と 、すごく 嬉しい です し 、メリハリ って いう んです かね 、羽 を 伸ばす ぞ ー ！ 的な 、この 感覚 が 久しぶり で 、嬉しい です 。

被って たら 平日 に どっか キャンプ とか 出かけられて 最高な のに ーって 感じ です けど 、この カレッジ 話 が 出る 前 、半年 以上 前 に 夫婦 で 話してた のは 、春休み を 使って ちょっと グランドキャニオン あたり に キャンプ でも 行けたら いいね ーって 言ってた んです が 、完全に 無理です ね 。 まあ 各 クラス の 先生 に 言って 調整 すれば 、課題 を 前倒し で 提出 する と かね 、融通 を 利かせて くれる 先生 も 多い と 思います けど 、今学期 ここまで の 様子 を みている と 、いくら 先生 に 融通 を 利かせて もらった としても 、1 週間 空ける だけ の 量 を 予め 前もって 提出 する のは 今 の 私 に は 厳しい です ね 。 あと 2 週間 後 か な 、夫 の 春 休み なんです が 、

できれば ね 、どっか 行きたい です けど 、ん ーーーーーー 。 む む む ーーーーー 。

アメリカ でも ね 、義務教育 も エリア に よって 夏休み は 違う んです けど 、私 が 住んでいる カリフォルニア の モントレーカウンティ では 、だいたい 6月 の 第2週 くらい か 夏休み が 始まって 、

2 ヶ月 くらい です ね 、

夏 休み が あります 。 日本 で は 7月 下旬 から な ので 、比較 する と 、だいぶ 早い です よね 、夏 休み に 入る の 。 そして 、日本 より も 少し 長い です 。

そう なんです よ 、こっち で は 6月 に 入る と 、もう 夏 が きた 、みたいな 感じ で 、まあ それ が 、そこ から が ね 、いわゆる 私たち の 「夏 」でして 、

毎年 6 月 と 7 月 、 そして 8 月 の 初め の 1 週間 くらい が 私 たち の 夏 、 夏 休み です 。

正確に は 季節 的に は 8 月 末 くらい まで 夏 なんです が 、

夫 の 仕事 で 夏 休み が 終わって 新しい 学年 が 始まる と 、 もう 気分 を 切り替えて 、 新しい 1 年 頑張る ぞ ーって 感じ が して くる ので 、 そういう 意味 でも ね 、 我が家 の 夏って いう の は 、 イコール 夫 の 仕事 の 夏 休み な わけ です 。 はい 、で 、この 夏 の 予定 は ？ なん です が 、

とにかく 、現時点 で は 本当に ノープラン です 。

アメリカ に 住んで いる 日本人 の 方 、特に 駐在 の 方 とか は ね 、今 くらい 、春 に は その 夏 の 予定 とか 組み始める と 思う んです けど 、

コロナ の パンデミック で 、色々 計画 でき な いって いの も あって 、日本 に も 一時 帰国 を そろそろ しない と ね っていう 時期 でも あった のです が 、

コロナ も です けど 我が家 と して は Visa の 件 も ね 、 また 今 の 状況 が どう な の か と 詳しく 時間 を 取って お 話 しよう と 思います が 、 とにかく 今年 の 夏 は 、 日本 へ の 帰国 は 無い ね 、 と ハッキリ して います 。 日本 に 帰らない なら 、 どっか アメリカ 国 内 で 遠出 したい ね と も 思う ん です が 、 パンデミック を 考える と 、 どう なのって 感じ で 。 みんな どう な んです か ね 。

アメリカ 、現時点 で は 結構 ワクチン の 接種 も 日本 に 比べて は 進んで いて 、夏 に 向けて だいぶ ポジティブな 考え も 高まって いて 、

夏 に は 、国内 なら 自由に 、みんな 旅行 を 楽しめる んじゃないか 、って ね 。 アメリカ の 皆さん 、夏 は 遠出 の 予定 は あります か 。 アメリカ で なくて も ね 、

日本 も 、そして 他の 国 に いる 皆さん も 、今年 夏 は どんな 計画 を 立ててます か ？ そして 私 は 、 今 コミュニティカレッジ に 通ってる ん です が 、 実は 夏 も クラス を 取ろう か な ー と 考えて て 、

いや 、めっちゃ 頑張る でしょ 、私 。 ま ぁ とっても 1つ か 2つ だ と 思う んですけど 、それ を やる こと で 次の セメスター 、次の 次の セメスター が 楽に なる んだったら いい かな ー と 思いまして 。

元々 今年 の 夏 は それほど 遠出 は でき ない だろう と 思ってる し 、クラス 取るって の も あり かな ー と 考えてます 。 でも 、

遠出 しない と は いえ 、 旦那 さん が せっかく 休み な のに 、 私 が クラス を 入れちゃ う こと に よって 、 なんて いう ん です か 、 行動 が 制限 される と いう か 、

あまり 自由に 色々 でき なく なる の も あれ だ な ー と も 思った んです が 、

まあ 旦那 さん に 相談 したら 、 その ー ね 、 今年 は コロナ も まだ あれ だし 、 大きな 予定 を 計画 して いる わけで もない し 、

クラス 取る の も いい ん じゃないって 言って くれて いる ので 、 そう しよう か な ー と 考えて います 。 まだ わから ない です けど ね 。

でも 、クラス とった と しても 、勉強 ばかり する 夏 で は なくて 、

それ 以外 に も 何 か ワクワク する ような 楽しい こと も たくさん 計画 したい な ー と 思って います 。 遠く に は 、長く 旅行 に 出かける と は できない と 思います が 、近場 で ね 、地元 に お金 を 落とす 的な 感じ で 、サポートローカル で 、色々 楽しい こと も たくさん したい し 、せっかく 自由に 使える まとまった 時間 が ある 夏 な ので 、楽しい こと を たくさん したい な と 思っています 。 そう か ー 、 もう 夏 の 計画 を 立て 始める 時期 か ぁ 。
