Epistola B. Joannis Apostoli Prima, 1Jo, Caput 1

1Jo, Caput 1

1 Quod fuit ab initio, quod audivimus, quod vidimus oculis nostris, quod perspeximus, et manus nostræ contrectaverunt de verbo vitæ : 2 et vita manifestata est, et vidimus, et testamur, et annuntiamus vobis vitam æternam, quæ erat apud Patrem, et apparuit nobis : 3 quod vidimus et audivimus, annuntiamus vobis, ut et vos societatem habeatis nobiscum, et societas nostra sit cum Patre, et cum Filio ejus Jesu Christo. what|was|from|the beginning|that|we have heard|what|we saw|eyes|our|what|observed|and|our hands|our|touched|of|word|of life|and|life|made manifest|was|and|we have seen|and|we testify|and|we proclaim|to you|of life|eternal life|what|was|among|the Father|and|appeared|to us|that|we have seen|and|we have heard|we announce|to you|that|and|you|fellowship|have|with us||fellowship|our|is|with|the Father|||the Son|of it|Jesus|Christ 1 What was from the beginning, which we have seen with our own eyes, and our hands, concerning the word of life; 2 and the life was manifested, and we have seen and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life which was with the Father and appeared us 3 that we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you, too, and communion with the Father and with his Son. 4 Et hæc scribimus vobis ut gaudeatis, et gaudium vestrum sit plenum. |this|write|to you|that|you may rejoice||joy|your||full 4 And these things we write to you, that you may be glad and your joy may be full.

|this||announcement|that|we have heard|from|it||we announce|to you|for since|God|light|||darkness|||||any|if|we have said|if|fellowship|we have||him|||in darkness|we walk|we lie||the truth||we do||||light|walk|as||he|||light||we have||we lie||blood|Jesus Christ|of Christ|the sons|his|cleans|we||all|sin||we say|for since|sin||we have|we|we|we deceive||truth||||||we confess|sins|our|faithful|||just||remit|to us|sins|||cleans|||all|iniquity||we say|for since||we have sinned|liar|we make|him||word||||| 5 And this is the message which we have heard from him and declare to you that God is light and there is no darkness in him. But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.
