of David|of David|prophet||"of the king"|song
G. David's song of the father and the king.
|||||counsel||"walks"||"of the wicked"||"stands in"|||seat|mockers' (or scoffers')|
1 Blessed is the man who is not involved in the counsel of the wicked, nor insists on the way of the wicked, nor sits in the seat of scoundrels.
|God's law||"delights in"||"it" or "her"|day|"and nights"|thinking about it
2 But he delights in Jove's law, thinking about it day and night.

3 He is like a tree, sown by a stream of water, which brings forth its fruit in its season, and whose leaves do not fall, and does all things well.

4 On the other hand, the wicked are like chaff that the wind blows.
5 Itaque impii in iudicio, scelerati in bonorum coetu non consistent.
||||wicked ones|||assembly of good||stand firm
5 And so the wicked in judgment, the wicked in the company of the good, are not consistent.

6 For Job also takes care of the way of the good, and the way of the wicked is to perish.
