THE MONKEY AS KING
القرد كملك
At a gathering of all the animals the Monkey danced and delighted them so much that they made him their King.
في تجمع لجميع الحيوانات، رقص القرد وأسعدهم كثيرًا حتى جعلوه ملكًا عليهم.
Lors d'une réunion de tous les animaux, le singe dansa et les enchanta tellement qu'ils en firent leur roi.
The Fox, however, was very much disgusted at the promotion of the Monkey: so having one day found a trap with a piece of meat in it, he took the Monkey there and said to him, "Here is a dainty morsel I have found, sire; I did not take it myself, because I thought it ought to be reserved for you, our King.
ولكن الثعلب كان يشمئز كثيرا من ترقية القرد: ففي أحد الأيام وجد فخا بداخله قطعة لحم، فأخذ القرد إليه وقال له: "هذه لقمة لذيذة وجدتها يا سيدي؛ لم آخذها بنفسي، لأنني اعتقدت أنها يجب أن تكون محفوظة لك يا ملكنا.
Le Renard, cependant, était très dégoûté de la promotion du Singe. Un jour qu'il avait trouvé une trappe contenant un morceau de viande, il y emmena le Singe et lui dit : "Voici un petit morceau que j'ai trouvé, Sire ; je ne l'ai pas pris moi-même, parce que j'ai pensé qu'il devait vous être réservé, à vous, notre Roi.
Will you be pleased to accept it?"
Serez-vous heureux de l'accepter ?"
The Monkey made at once for the meat and got caught in the trap.
ذهب القرد على الفور إلى اللحم ووقع في الفخ.
Le singe se dirigea aussitôt vers la viande et se fit prendre dans le piège.
Then he bitterly reproached the Fox for leading him into danger; but the Fox only laughed and said, "O Monkey, you call yourself King of the Beasts and haven't more sense than to be taken in like that!"
ثم وبخ الثعلب بشدة لأنه قاده إلى الخطر؛ لكن الثعلب ضحك فقط وقال: "يا قرد، أنت تسمي نفسك ملك الوحوش وليس لديك عقل أكثر من أن يتم خداعك بهذه الطريقة!"
Puis il reprocha amèrement au renard de l'avoir entraîné dans le danger ; mais le renard se contenta de rire et dit : "Ô singe, tu te prétends le roi des bêtes et tu n'as pas plus de bon sens que de te laisser prendre comme ça !"
然后他严厉地责备狐狸把他引向危险。狐狸只是笑道：“猴子啊，你自称为百兽之王，竟然被人这样欺骗了！”
