قال الرسول ﷺ: (بني الإسلام على خمس: شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله، وأن محمدا رسول الله، وإقام الصلاة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وحج البيت، وصوم رمضان).

Der Gesandte, Friede sei mit ihm, sagte: (Der Islam ist auf fünf aufgebaut: Bezeugen, dass es keinen Gott außer Gott gibt und dass Mohammed der Gesandte Gottes ist, Verrichten des Gebets, Entrichten der Zakat, Pilgerfahrt zum Haus und Fasten im Ramadan) .
The Messenger, peace be upon him, said: (Islam is built on five: testifying that there is no god but God, and that Muhammad is the Messenger of God, establishing prayer, paying zakat, pilgrimage to the House, and fasting Ramadan).
De Boodschapper, vrede en zegeningen zij met hem, zei: (Islam is gebouwd op vijf dingen: getuigen dat er geen god is dan God, en dat Mohammed de Boodschapper van God is, het instellen van het gebed, het betalen van zakat, de hadj aan het Huis, en vasten Ramadan).
وهذا تعريف بأركان الإسلام: الركن الأول: الشهادتان (لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله).

Hij, vrede en zegeningen van God zij met hem, zei: (Het hoofd van de zaak is de Islam, de pilaar ervan is het gebed, en de top van de zaak is de jihad ter wille van God).
Resûlullah (sallallahu aleyhi vesellem) buyurdular ki: (İşin zirvesi İslâm, direği namaz, en üst hörgücü de Allah yolunda cihaddır).
وهي أول ما يحاسب عليه العبد يوم القيامة.

Hij, vrede en zegeningen van God zij met hem, zei: (Het eerste waar een dienaar verantwoordelijk voor zal worden gehouden op de Dag der Opstanding is het gebed. Als het rechtvaardig is, zullen al zijn daden rechtvaardig zijn, en als het verdorven is , dan zal al zijn werk corrupt zijn.)
والصلوات خمس: صلاة الفجر والظهر والعصر والمغرب والعشاء.

قال تعالى: {يا أيها الذين آمنوا كتب عليكم الصيام كما كتب على الذين من قبلكم لعلكم تتقون} [البقرة: ١٨٣] وللصائم أجر عظيم.

The Almighty said: {O you who have believed, fasting has been prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, so that you may become righteous} [Al-Baqara: 183] And for the fasting person there is a great reward.
قال رسول الله ﷺ: (من صام رمضان إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه).

الركن الخامس: الحج ويكون في مكة لأداء المناسك.
