فتوجه إليه قائلا: He turned to him, saying:

" أرجوك يا سيدي، هل تقبل بضم فرخ صغير ومسكين مثلي إلى عائلتك؟" ||||accept|"to include"|||poor and helpless|||your family "Please, sir, would you accept a poor little chick like me into your family?"

ولكن الديك الرومي واجهه بالطرد والنقر قائلا: |||faced him|with pecking|and pecking| But the turkey faced him with expulsion and peck, saying:

وفي يوم من الأيام بينما كان الفرخ القبيح في البحيرة And one day while the ugly chick was at the lake

يبحث عن شيء للأكل، لمحته بجعة تسبح مع فراخها. ||||I spotted|swan||| Looking for something to eat, a swan swimming with her chicks spotted him.

فجاءت إليه قائلة: came to him|| And she came to him, saying:

فأجاب الفرخ متعجبا من اهتمام البجعة لأمره: ||||concern|the swan|for his situation Surprised by the swan's concern, the chick replied:

عرفت البجعة أن الفرخ القبيح ليس ببطة. "knew"||||||a duck The swan knew that the ugly chick was not a duck.

وهكذا استطاع الفرخ إيجاد عائلة تعتني به والنجاة من موت محقق. Thus, the chick was able to find a family to take care of him and escape from certain death.
