واحدة من أقدم وأقوى وأطول الحضارات أمدا على الأرض إلى الآن. هذه الرحلة الجوية المذهلة التي تمتاز بإمكانية الوصول إلى مواقع لا تصدق. ستظهر كيف أن الإنجازات الرائعة التي صنعها القدماء. ساعدت في تشكيل مصر اليوم. التحليق فوق المناظر الطبيعية والمتنوعة لهذه البلاد والرؤية من الأعلى تظهر كيف أن أجيال المصريين المتتالية صارع تضاريس صعبة ودرجات حرارة حارقة لا مثيل لها.

مصر. تغطي ما يقارب المليون كيلومتر مربع وموطن لمائة مليون شخص تقريبا. وأكبر وأكثر الدول تعدادا للسكان في العالم العربي. الحياة هنا كانت دائما تشكل تحديا. سبع وتسعون بالمائة من أراضيها هي صحراء قاسية جافة.

إذن كيف بنى المصريون القدماء حضارة قوية كهذه. رؤية البلاد من الأعلى تكشف الإجابة. نهر النيل العظيم. أكثر من ستة آلاف كيلومتر. إنه أطول نهر في العالم. ودونه ربما ما كان المصريون القدماء ليؤسسوا امبراطورية أو يبنوا صروحا رائعة.

أكثر هذه العجائب القديمة تميزا تقع على بعد ثلاثة عشر كيلو متر عن العاصمة القاهرة. من الجو يبدو مقياس هذه الصروح الهندسية مذهلا. صنعت من حوالي عشرة ملايين طن من الحجارة. إنها من أكبر الأهرامات التي بنيت على الإطلاق. الأقدم والأكبر هو هرم الجيزة العظيم. بني منذ أكثر من أربعة آلاف وخمسمائة عام وتم تشكيله من أكثر من مليوني قطعة من الحجر الرملي. كل حجر يزن أكثر من وزن سيارة. تم انشاؤه كقبر للفرعون خوفه. إنه المعجزة الوحيدة من بين عجائب العالم السبعة التي صمدت حتى يومنا هذا.

بارتفاع مائة وستة وأربعين مترا بقي أطول منشأة على الأرض لمدة ثلاثة آلاف وخمسمائة عام. أهرامات الجيزة تبهر عالم الآثار الأميركية مارك ليرنر بشكل كبير حيث إنه كرس لكشف أسرارها أربعة عقود من حياته المهنية. من النظرة الأولى للهرم العظيم خوفه أصبحت أهرامات الجيزة هي محور حياتي. أمضيت ستة وأربعين عاما في دراسة الأهرامات. من هم الذين قاموا ببنائها. ما الذي نعرفه عنهم. ما الذي نعرفه عن كيفية بنائهم لها.

يأتي الناس من كل العالم ليتأملوا عظمة هذه الأهرامات. ولكن بقايا الهياكل الأكثر بساطة في جوارها تكشف الآلية التي بنى بها القدماء هذه المقابر العظيمة. لبناء هذه الأهرامات بهذا المقياس الهائل كان عليهم إنشاء بنية تحتية. وقد وجدنا بقايا تلك البنية التحتية. مشهد جوي يكشف عن وجود قوة عاملة ضخمة جلبت من أجل عملية البناء ما وجدناه يسمى المدينة المفقودة للأهرامات وأحيانا قرية العمال بمساحة مائة وثلاثين ألف متر مربع.

لقد وجدنا مخابزهم وورشهم المنازل وصوامع الحبوب الخاصة بهم لإطعام الناس لكنها كانت جزءا من مدينة ضخمة تواجدت عند قاعدة منصة الأهرامات. يعتقد مارك أن عشرين ألف عامل قد عاشوا هنا قاموا باستخراج خمسة ملايين وسبعمائة ألف طن من الحجر الرملي لبناء الهرم الأكبر وحده. الرؤية الجوية لهرم خفر المجاور تكشف وجود لغز آخر يجب حله قيمته مغطاة بالحجارة الملساء التي كانت ذات مرة هيكلا كاملا.

إنه دليل على أن الهرم الأكبر كان يبدو مختلفا ذات يوم. كان هرم خوفو العظيم بالكامل مغطى بحجر كلسي أبيض مصقول لا بد أنه كان يبهر الأنظار عندما يعكس أشعة الشمس.

كان أقرب مصدر للحجر الجيري اللامع يقع في توراة التي تبعد اثني عشر كيلومترا عن النيل. إذن كيف نقل القدماء أطنان من الحجر الجيري هذا عبر كيلومترات من الصحراء والنهر العظيم. يعتقد مارك أن الأرض المنحدرة أمام هذا المعبد تكشف اللغز. إنه حوض بقايا ميناء ضخم ومجمع للقنوات كان مملوءا بمياه الفيضان الذي استخدمه القدماء لنقل الحجارة إلى موقع البناء.

لدينا أدلة على أن بنات الهرم استغلوا ارتفاع المياه عند فيضان نهر النيل سنويا كرافعة هيدروليكية ضخمة لجلب أكبر قطعة ممكنة من الأحجار وأقرب ما يمكن إلى منصة الهرم. إن الشيء الذي لا نراه هنا يكاد يكون الشيء الأكثر إدهاشا من الأهرامات ذاتها. نهر النيل جعل انشاء الحضارة المصرية القديمة ممكنا لم يكن النهر هاما للتنقل فحسب ولكن لأجل الطعام أيضا. ومازال كثير من المصريين يعتمدون عليه لمعيشتهم. إنه الصباح الباكر على جزيرة الفنتين في جنوب مصر. الأب وابنه يوسف وكريم محمد يستعدان لصيد الأسماك كما يفعلان كل يوم.

عائلة تقطن هنا قرب نهر النيل منذ أكثر من مائة عام تقريبا. كان أبي صيادا وكان والده صيادا أيضا. وهو من علموالد الصيد ومن ثم والدي علمني الصيد كذلك. وأنا الآن أعلم ابن كريم السيد كما علمني والدي. يوسف وكريم هما جزء من المجتمع النوبي. إنهما من سلالة بعض الأشخاص الأوائل الذين استقروا هنا في وادي النيل منذ أكثر من سبعة آلاف عام.

بالنسبة إلى النوبيين فإن نهر النيل هو حياتهم. لقد عاشوا دائما حول النيل.

أدت الفيضانات الناجمة عن بناء سد في أقصى الجنوب في أسوان إلى نزوح العديد من النوبيين عن أراضيهم.

لذا بالنسبة إلى يوسف فمن الهام نقل التقاليد القديمة إلى ابنه مثل كيفية صيد الأسماك بالطريقة النوبية. يعلم يوسف أن الأسماك الكبيرة موجودة في المياه العميقة على الجانب الآخر من النهر للوصول إلى هناك. يجب على الأب والابن عبور كيلو متر واحدا ونصف من المياه الهائجة في قاربهما الصغير يتفاديان العبارات طوال الوقت والقوارب الشراعية البيضاء سريعة الاصطدام هنا يمكن أن يؤدي إلى كارثة.

يجب على الصياد النبي يوسف وابنه ذي الست سنوات كريم عبور واحدة من أكثر المناطق ازدحاما في نهر النيل معيشتهما تعتمد على اصطياد السمك الأكبر في المياه العميقة.

بتوقيت مثالي يقود يوسف القارب من خلال الثغرات بين القوارب المتحركة.

بأمان. على الجانب الآخر. كريم ذو الست سنوات يجب أن يحافظ على القارب ثابتا أمام التيار القوي.

والده يستخدم تقنية قديمة لمضاعفة صيده. عندما تضرب السماء مرة أو مرتين تسبح الأسماك أعمق وتهرب إلى الشبكة فالأسماك لا تحب الصوت.

هذه الأسماك من نوع البلطي وهي عنصر أساسي في الغذاء المصري منذ زمن الفراعنة. بعد مضي ساعة اصطاد يوسف وكريم جميع الأسماك التي يحتاجون إليها لعشاء الليلة يجذبفان مسافة كيلو مترا واحدا ونصف عائدين إلى قريتهما. كدنا ننتهي الطاهيات تتقبل السمك بالدقيق وتقليصه كجزء من الوصفة النوبية التقليدية.

نهر النيل يعني كل شيء لي لأنه المكان الذي اصطاد فيه. إنه يجعلني قادرا على الاستمرار. نهر النيل هو حياتي كلها.

منذ آلاف السنين اعتمدت الحضارات المصرية على نهر النيل للبقاء على قيد الحياة. وإلى جانب توفير الغذاء فإن الطمي الغنية من مياهه يسمح للمزارعين بزراعة المحاصيل في الصحراء. عالمة الآثار الألمانية جوان سيجل تتجه أيضا إلى جزيرة الفن نتيجة عملها كمديرة ميدانية للحفريات هنا يكشف عن أهمية نهر النيل بالنسبة للمصريين القدماء. رؤية الرأس الجنوبي للجزيرة من الأعلى تظهر تخطيط القرية التي يبلغ عمرها خمسة آلاف عام. كانت هذه واحدة من أوائل المستوطنات في هذا الجزء من النهر.

يمثل نهر النيل مصدر للحياة بالنسبة للمصريين القدماء وكان من أهم الأشياء في حياتهم فهو يؤمن لهم الطعام والماء والتربة الخصبة والروابط التجارية.

لقد حصلوا على كل شيء منها قبل أن تتحكم السدود في ارتفاع منسوب هذا النهر. تسببت الأمطار الموسمية فوق إثيوبيا التي تقع جنوب مصر بفيضانات سنوية. عند اندفاع المياه المرتفعة على الضفاف كان يترسب الطمي الخصب عبر سهول الفيضان. وكلما زاد انتشار المياه أمكن زراعة المزيد من الأراضي الزراعية. طور المصريون القدماء نظاما خاصا للتنبؤ بالفيضان المثالي. وأصبحت الأداة التي اخترعوها معروفة باسم مقياس النيل. علامات الحفر في هذا الممر هنا تقيس ارتفاع الفيضان وهي تتنبأ إن كانت المحاصيل ستزدهر أو ستموت هنا في جزيرة الفنتين.

يصل الفيضان أولا لذا فإن القياس هنا سيكون بمنزلة التنبؤ بقياس الارتفاع على طول نهر النيل أو على الأقل هذا ما كان المصريون يأملون به. عندما يسجل مقياس النيل المستوى الأمثل للمياه سوف تتم تغطية الحقول بما يكفي من الطمي لإنتاج محصول وفير.

وبعد آلاف السنين مازال نهر النيل إلى الآن شريان حياة مصر.

يوفر نهر النيل مياها صالحة للشرب ويوفر الطاقة ولا يزال يوفر التربة الخصبة إلى الآن وبالتالي فهو يدعم الزراعة أيضا دون النيل.

لن توجد حياة هنا اليوم ستة وتسعين بالمائة من السكان يعيشون في الأراضي المزروعة المروية عن طريق نهر النيل.

بعيدا عن هذه المناطق المناظر الطبيعية مختلفة تماما. أكثر من تسعمائة وخمسة وستين ألف كيلو متر مربع هي صحراء غير مأهولة تقع بعض أقسى التضاريس في شبه جزيرة سيناء في شرقي البلاد. منسوب الأمطار في هذا الجزء من مصر أقل من أربعة سنتيمترات في العام من الجو.

من الواضح أن التربة الصخرية الجافة تجعل الزراعة المكثفة شبه مستحيلة ومع ذلك هناك مجموعة من الناس سكنوا في سيناء منذ آلاف السنين.

خضر عيد مرشد عاشت في هذه القرية النائية طيلة حياتها.

من الصعب جدا العثور على طعام هنا فهناك أمطار قليلة ونباتات قليلة لكي تتناولها الحيوانات.

خضراء بدوية. إن أغلب هؤلاء الناس القدامى هاجروا من شبه الجزيرة العربية منذ ما يقارب الألف عام. ولكن في العقود الأخيرة السياسات الحكومية الهادفة إلى زيادة الأمن وتعزيز السياحة في سيناء منعت بعض البدو من الوصول إلى الخدمات اللازمة وأدت إلى تآكل تقاليدهم وغادر الكثيرون لإيجاد عمل في مدن مصر.

خضر مرشد تحتضن الحياة هنا في الصحراء كما فعل اسلافها من قبلها.

إن هذه الصحراء تعلمك ممارسة الرياضة دائماي الذهاب والإياب وجمع الحطب وجلب المياه ومواصلة الحركة إن بقيت في الداخل فجسمك ياشيخ يجب أن تمشي وتكون نشيطا لتبقى بصحة جيدة.

خضراء لكي تحافظ على حياتها وحياة الماعز يجب أن تجد الغطاء النباتي في واحدة من أكثر الأماكن القاحلة. في الجزء العلوي من شبه جزيرة سيناء القاحلة في مصر راعية الغنم البدوية خضراء عيد مرشد تأخذ ماعزها في عمق الصحراء بحثا لهم عن العش. تعتمد خضراء على حكمة انتقلت إليها عبر أجيال من البدوية الرحالة لقراءة تضاريس الأرض تكشف الرؤية من الأعلى عن أخاديد تتسلل عبر التضاريس الجبلية خضراء تعرف أن مياه الأمطار التي تجري أسفل سطح الأرض عادة كافية للحفاظ على حياة النبات.

هناك كثير من المراعي هنا إن كانت الماعز سعيدة فأنا سعيدة بينما تأكل الماعز تستغل خضراء مصدرا آخر من الموارد النادرة في الصحراء إن هذا النبات الصحراوي يدعى عشرة يمكن قطفه سحقه وإضافة الماء إليه كما يمكن غسل اليدين والملابس به أيضا. إنهصابونصابون ذو رائحة لطيفة. يكفي راعيا لهذا اليوم وغدا سوف تضطر خضراء إلى إيجاد نباتات أخرى.

في الواقع أنا أقوم بهذا العمل كل يوم. إنني هنا منذ يوم زواجي لم أعيش في أي مكان آخر. الصحراء هي كل حياتي.

لقد جعل البدو من الصحراء موطنا لهم. إلا أن القدماء استخدموا هذه الأراضي المقفرة لغرض مختلف تماما. كانت الصحراء الغربية هي الموقع الذي دفن فيه الفراعنة استعدادا للحياة الآخرة. المقابر الملكية مثل هرم جوسر الذي تم بناؤه قبل أربعة آلاف وسبعمائة عام سوف تكون مليئة بالكنوز. رغم اقتناع الفراعنة أن أهراماتهم كانت منيعة للغاية فقد أصبحت هذه الأبنية جاذبة للصوص المقابر القديمة منذ ثلاثة آلاف وخمسمئة عام.

أنشأ الفراعنة مقبرة سرية عملاقة داخل واد صحراوي نائب.

من القرن السادس عشر قبل الميلاد تم بناء ثلاث وستين مقبرة ملكية على الأقل هنا على مدار فترة خمس مائة عام.

وادي الملوك هذا يقع تحت جبل كبير وعال يشبه الهرم أمل الفراعنة أن يكون هذا الموقع غير واضح في مأمن من لصوص القبور. في الأصل كانت مداخل المقابر مغلقة ومخفية تحت الرمال والصخور. الآن شبكة من المسارات تقود الطريق إليها. وها هي لوري وانغ المسئولة عن الحفاظ على أشهر المعالم الجاذبة في الموقع في قبر توت عنخ آمون. يشتهر قبر توت عنخ آمون بحقيقة أنه اكتشف مع المقتنيات الخاصة به وهي سالمة تقريبا. وهذا أمر نادر الحدوث لأنه تم نهب جميع المقابر الأخرى توت عنخ آمون كان في التاسعة من عمره فقط عندما أصبح حاكم مصر.

تم اكتشاف قبره في عام ألف وتسعمائة واثنين وعشرين من قبل العالم البريطاني هاوارد كارتر. وجد داخله كنوزا لا تقدر بثمن بما في ذلك قناع موت توت عنخ آمون الذهبي وعرشه المصنوع من الذهب والفضة والمرصع بالأحجار الكريمة وأكثر من خمسة آلاف قطعة أثرية أخرى لا تقدر بثمن.

مليون ونصف مليون شخص يأتون في كل عام إلى وادي الملوك. والآن يسبب عدد الزوار الهائل خسارة فادحة.

يحمل الزوار غبارا على ملابسهم وأحذيتهم وعندما يدخلون القبر يمكن لهذا الغبار أن يثبت نفسه على الرسوم مما يجعل من الصعب إزالته بطريقة آمنة.

فريق الغوري قام بتركيب نظام تهوية للمساعدة في تقليل مستويات الغبار داخل القبر. الهواء النظيف سوف يضمن الحفاظ على قبر الملك الفتى توت عنخ آمون للأجيال القادمة. نريد أن يستطيع الآخرون تقدير القبر بقدر ما فعلنا نحن. لقد كانت تجربة رائعة للعمل في مقبرةك مقبرة توت عنخ آمون.

حسن يلتقي مع خصمه هنا في وسط القاهرة القديمة يجب أن يفوز اليوم إن كان يريد الاحتفاظ بلقبه. حاكم حمام الجمالية.

في قلب القاهرة التاريخي حسن محمد حسين يتنافس مع مربي حمام آخر في سباق الحمام عبر العاصمة كلا المنافسين مستعدان لإطلاق طيورهما. أربعون حمامة تحلق عاليا فوق القاهرة خلال بضع دقائق فقط ستكون ضمن نطاق أقفاصها. يجب على المتنافسين محاولة توجيه جميع الحمام إلى المنزل مع أكبر عدد ممكن من حمام المنافس. ومن يلتقط أكبر عدد من الطيور يفوز. بعد وقت قصير من وصوله إلى برجه يرصد حسانحماة. الآن سأبدأ بمناداتها وسأقوم برفع العلم لأميز الحمام المنافس.

حسن يقوم بالتلويح بالعلم والسفير لإغرائها بالعودة عندما يهبط الحمام يقوم بالتحقق من علامتها ليتأكد إلى من تنتمي.

جميع الحمام الخاص بحسن عاد إلى المنزل ومنافسه لم يستطع إغراء أيا من الحمام الخاص به.

أعتقد أن الحمامة السوداء هي من الطيور الخاصة به لكن حسن استطاع.

مع انتصار آخر له حصن يحتفظ بلقبه حتى موعد المسابقة التالية. في الحقيقة أنا سعيد أنا سعيد للغاية لأنني فزت بهذا. إن علاقة المصريين اليوم بالحمام هي مجرد إرث واحد من زمن الفراعنة. الصروح العظيمة للحكام القدامى تمثل شهادة على قوتهم الهائلة. لم يكونوا مجرد ملوك عاديين بل نصبوا أنفسهم على أنهم رموز وكانوا يتوقعون من رعاياهم أن يتبعوهم حتى بعد وفاته هم. لا يوجد مكان أكثر وضوحا عبر نهر النيل العظيم من الضفة الغربية للأقصى. على مدى ألفي عام تقريبا بين الفراعنة معابد جنائزية هنا لإحياء ذكرى عهدهم وكمراكز لتعبر عن أهميته الأبدية حجمها الحقيقي يصبح واضحا فقط من الجو.

إنه الفجر. وها هو بهاء أحمد يستعد للانطلاق إلى المعابد الجنائزية. طيار خبير بالمناطيد ذات الهواء الساخن يطير بها عند أول بزوغ للضوء حيث الهواء بارد والتيارات الهوائية أكثر قابلية ليتوقع هبوبها. دراسة الرياح هنا أمر بالغ الأهمية لأن المعابد تقع مباشرة تحت الجبال المتعرجة. الأمر الأكثر تحديا هنا هو المطبات الهوائية والاضطرابات الجوية قرب الجبال لذا نحن نأخذ ذلك بعين الاعتبار ونحاول الابتعاد عن هذه الاضطرابات حتى لا يكون هناك أي خطر على المطار أو الركاب. فالسلامة هي أهم شيء بالنسبة لنا. بينما يتتبع بهاء مسارا بعيدا عن الجبال يوجه المطاب نحو الهيكل الجنائزي الأكثر شهرة في مصر.

معبد حتشبسوت محفور في جانب جبل تم بناؤه بوساطة واحدة من الفراعنة الإناث القلائل في مصر لاكتساب القبول كحاكمة أمرت أن يكون معبدها أكبر وأضخم من المعابد التي كانت لجميع الفراعنة الذكور قبلها.

إن هذا المعبد من أجمل الأشياء التي يمكن رؤيتها من المطاط بالنظر إلى تصميم هذا المعبد فهو أجمل مما يمكنني وصفه من المنشطات. يبدو جميلا جدا.

مع ارتفاع درجة حرارة الجو يجيب على بهاء الآن التغلب على الرياح الخطيرة المحتملة وذلك لزيارة ضريح أعظم فرعون حكم مصر على الإطلاق. فوق الضفة الغربية في الأقصر يقترب من طردها من مجمع معابد مساحتها أربعة آلاف وستمائة وخمسة وأربعون مترا مربعا مخصصة لأكبر فرعون في مصر. هذا هو الراميسيوم وهو المعبد الجنائزي لأكثر فرعون له معالم تذكارية في مصر. رمسيس الثاني شيد في القرن الثالث عشر قبل الميلاد ويغطي مساحة تبلغ سبعة وأربعين ملعب تنس في القديم كان واحدا من أكبر المعابد الجنائزية في مصر.

استغرق بناؤه عشرين عاما. إنه جميل هذا مذهل. انظروا إلى هذا رمسيس الثاني. داخل معبد رمسيس توجد بقايا تمثال عملاق وضخم لرمسيس الثاني نفسه.

في الأصل كان يصل إلى ارتفاع مبنى مكون من ستة طوابق ويزن حوالي ألف طن.

ليذكر الجميع أنه كان أكثر من رجل عادي أنه كان رمزا. بينما تفسح الصروح الصحراوية المجال لرؤية الأراضي الخصبة أدناها فقد حان الوقت ليجد بها حقلا لكي يهبط. عندما يقوم بالارتفاع فأنت لا تعرف إلى أين ستهبط به ومن الصعب أن تهبط في مكان آمن للركاب في الطائرة كل يوم هو يوم جديد.

قد يكون الفراعنة أعلنوا أنفسهم على أنهم رموز لكن سلطتهم لم تكن أبدية بعد أن حكموا مصر لمدة ثلاثة آلاف عام تم غزوهم من قبل الرومان.

بمرور الوقت تلاشى الإيمان بالرموز الوثنية الكثيرة ما أفسح الطريق إلى رمز واحد.

ما يقارب عشرة مليون مسيحي يعيشون في مصر اليوم أحد أهم مواقعهم هو جبل سيناء.

وفقا للكتاب المقدس. هذا الجبل ظهر فيه الرمز على شكل شجيرة مشتعلة. وهنا أيضا حيث تلقى موسى الوصايا العشر.
