"Cheburashka and Gena the Crocodile" is a famous Russian doll animation series (made after a book of the same name), that one day became incredibly popular in Japan, - the original series were translated and dubbed in Japanese, an original full-time stop motion (doll) movie was made, and some funny 2D animation series inspired by the story were issued.
