Pronouns
Um pronome é uma palavra que substitui um substantivo. Aqui estão os diferentes tipos de pronome na língua inglesa.
Pronomes Subjetivos
Os pronomes subjetivos substituem o substantivo que é o sujeito da frase.
He would like to sit down.
They are not happy with their meal.
That building is so big it blocks the sun.
She hadn't thought about how many people would be coming to dinner.
We would like to sit at a window table.
Pronomes de Objeto
Os pronomes de objetos substituem o substantivo que é o objeto da frase.
Come with us to the movies.
Take her to the hospital if she is sick
Amelia won't bring it home.
Your friend wants to play with you.
Tell him I said no thank you.
Pronomes Possessivos
Os pronomes possessivos substituem os substantivos como sujeito ou objeto de uma frase.
That bike is not hers.
His one is not the same.
Theirs is the green one.
That’s mine!
The red house is ours.
Pronomes Reflexivos
Os pronomes reflexivos são usados quando o sujeito da frase é o mesmo que o objeto do verbo na frase.
She hurt herselfplaying tennis.
They can cook for themselves this weekend
He blamed himself for the accident.
You can show yourself out.
Pronomes Intensivos
Esses pronomes enfatizam o assunto. Um pronome intensivo é diferente de um pronome reflexivo porque pode ser removido sem alterar o significado da frase.
The President himself ordered them to stop.
The event itself went really well.
The lawyers themselves couldn't even figure it out.
We would love to make all of the arrangements ourselves.
Pronomes Indefinidos
Os pronomes indefinidos não se referem a uma pessoa, quantidade ou coisa específica. Eles são colocados na mesma posição em uma frase que os substantivos assumem.

Everybody | Everybody needs to take a holiday once in a while. |

Perguntas
Perguntas são formadas quando usamos pronomes indefinidos com as palavras "every", "some" e "any". A resposta para essas perguntas geralmente é "yes" ou "no".

Has he been everywhere he needed to go?
Perguntas Negativas
Essas perguntas podem ser tornadas negativas usando a seguinte estrutura. A resposta esperada para essas perguntas é "no".
Didn’t everyone eat already?
Haven’t you done anything interesting today?
Hasn’t he been everywhere he needed to go?
Perguntas com o pronome indefinido "some" podem ser tornadas negativas da seguinte forma. A resposta esperada para esse tipo de pergunta é "yes".
Aren’t you looking for something like this?
Don’t I know you from somewhere?
Shouldn’t somebody be watching the children?
Wouldn’t someone like to try these cakes?
