Vlog 3: what I eat in a day: Greek fasting edition

Καλημέρα

Και καλώς ήλθατε σε ένα ακόμη vlog.

Θυμάστε πριν από καμιά εβδομάδα,

όταν είχα κάνει το βίντεο για την Καθαρά Δευτέρα,

είχα πει ότι από την Καθαρά Δευτέρα και για σαράντα μέρες

οι Έλληνες νηστεύουν.

Γι' αυτό σκέφτηκα να κάνω ένα vlog

με το τι τρώω μέσα στην ημέρα μου

την περίοδο της νηστείας.

Ξεκίνησα και έβαλα λίγο νερό για το τσάι μου.

Κανονικά έχω βραστήρα, όμως χτες το βράδυ,

μου είπε η συγκάτοικός μου,

ότι πήγε να βάλει τον βραστήρα στην πρίζα

και πέταξε σαν σπίθες

οπότε μου είπε καλύτερα να μην το χρησιμοποιήσω

και σήμερα για πρώτη φορά χρησιμοποιώ

αυτό εδώ το κατσαρολάκι.

Με αυτό εδώ το κατσαρολάκι παίρνει

περισσότερο χρόνο για να γίνει το νερό

αλλά δεν το ρισκάρω να χρησιμοποιήσω το βραστήρα.

Θα βάλω και λίγο γάλα σόγιας,

γιατί αυτό βρήκα στο supermarket.

Δεν είχε γάλα βρώμης που παίρνω συνήθως.

Θα το κουνήσω βασικά

και μετά θα βάλω λίγο για να κρυώσει,

και να το πιω πιο ευχάριστα.

Να σας πω την αλήθεια δεν μπορώ να φάω πρωινό

ταυτόχρονα με το τσάι.

Προτιμώ να πιω πρώτα το τσάι

και μετά να έχει περάσει κάνα τέταρτο, είκοσι λεπτά

θα ξεκινήσω να φτιάχνω κάτι να φάω.

Πριν από δύο εβδομάδες, νομίζω,

βρήκα αυτά τα υπέροχα μπισκότα στο supermarket

και το είπα και στην συγκάτοικό μου

και έχουμε πάθει τώρα και οι δύο εθισμό.

Αλλά τα φυλάω για μετά το φαγητό.

Μετά το φαγητό μαζί με τον καφέ ή πάλι με ένα τσαγάκι,

πάνε τέλεια αυτά τα μπισκότα.

Για μένα η νηστεία είναι η καλύτερη περίοδος

στην Ελλάδα, για να την επισκεφτώ,

γιατί τα τελευταία έξι χρόνια είμαι vegan,

οπότε για μένα είναι παράδεισος η νηστεία.

Είναι πάρα πολύ εύκολο, το κάνω όλο το χρόνο

ούτως ή άλλως.

Κάποιος πήγε να φτιάξει pancakes στο σπίτι

και μάλλον δεν πέτυχαν.

Ένα πολύ απλό πρωινό, με φυτικό βούτυρο,

ας πούμε, μαργαρίνη

και λίγο μαρμελάδα βερίκοκο.

Η αγαπημένη μου μαρμελάδα.

Όπου τη βρίσκω, μαρμελάδα βερίκοκο, την αγοράζω.

Μαρμελάδες βερίκοκο έφτιαχνε η γιαγιά μου,

ίσως γιαυτό μου αρέσουν τόσο πολύ.

Θυμάμαι έτσι ,ήταν καλός ο καιρός

οπότε πρέπει να ήταν άνοιξη προς καλοκαίρι

ήδη να ήταν καλοκαίρι

Σε κάτι μεγάλες κατσαρόλες

έφτιαχναν την μαρμελάδα.

Όπως έχετε καταλάβει μου αρέσουν τα γλυκά πρωινά

περισσότερο από τα αλμυρά

Λοιπόν μετά το πρωινό μου

πήγα και άλλαξα, φόρεσα αυτά που βλέπετε τώρα

ένα τζιν παντελόνι και βάφτηκα.

Και πήγα να αγοράσω κάποια υλικά

στο supermarket για να μαγειρέψω.

Να μαγειρέψω το μεσημεριανό μου.

Οπότε τώρα θα φτιάξουμε μαζί εεε....φακές

Δεν ξέρω αν σας αρέσουν οι φακές

αλλά είναι ένα παρά πολύ παραδοσιακό ελληνικό φαγητό.

Λοιπόν για τις φακές χρειαζόμαστε φακές

αυτές τις έχω βάλει μέσα σε αυτό το βάζο

θα χρειαστούμε ένα κρεμμύδι

κάτι άλλο που θα χρειαστούμε είναι κάνα δύο καροτάκια

θα τα βάλουμε και αυτά εδώ.

Θα πάρω και ένα φυλλαράκι δάφνης

Επίσης με βολεύει πάρα πολύ

να οργανώνω και τα σκόρδα μέσα σε βαζάκια

Αυτό έχει σχεδόν τελειώσει.

Γενικά οι φακές είναι ένα πάρα πολύ απλό φαγητό

και πάρα πολύ γρήγορα γίνεται.

Στην Ελλάδα το κάνουμε έτσι σαν σούπα.

Πέρα από αυτά τα υλικά θα χρειαστώ και αλάτι και πιπέρι

ααα και ρίγανη που θα την προσθέσω στο τέλος.

Επίσης αγόρασα αυτές εδώ τις πιτούλες

γιατί νόμιζα πως είναι σαν τις πίτες τις ελληνικές

Ομως είναι λιγάκι διαφορετικές

μου μοιάζουν σαν κάτι πίτες που είχα δοκιμάσει

όταν είχα επισκεφτεί την κολλητή μου στην Αίγυπτο.

Αλλά είναι και αυτές εξίσου ωραίες

δοκίμασα μία πριν έτσι με λίγο τυράκι από πάνω.

Οπότε θα κάνω δύο πιτούλεςή μία

εεε έτσι, θα τις βάλω στο τηγάνι χωρίς λάδι

Είσαστε τυχεροί εν τω μεταξύ γιατί σας έκανε

πάρα πολύ ωραίο καιρό σήμερα, πάλι για άλλη μία φορά

Λοιπόν θα κόψω πρώτα το κρεμμύδι,

θα το ψιλοκόψω και θα το τσιγαρίσω

Μετά θα τρίψω τα καρότα,

γιατί δεν μου αρέσει να βλέπω κομμάτια από καρότα μέσα,

οπότε τα τρίβω στον τρίφτη,

και θα ξεπλύνω λίγο τις φακές.

Εεε και μετά θα τις προσθέσω μαζί με τα υπόλοιπα υλικά.

Ααα κάτι που ξέχασα, μισό λεπτό

Εεε αυτό ξέχασα, θα βάλω και ντομάτα,

σάλτσα ντομάτας μέσα.

εεε αυτή είναι ντομάτα πασάτα,

οπότε είναι και λίγο πιο γλυκιά

Αλλά η σάλτσα θα γλυκάνει και από τα καρότα επίσης.

Σε όποιον δεν αρέσουν οι φακές,

νομίζω ότι μετά απο αυτή τη συνταγή θα αλλάξει γνώμη.

Εγώ τρελαίνομαι για τις φακές,

είναι ένα από τα αγαπημένα μου φαγητά

και είναι και πάρα πολύ γρήγορο να το φτιάξεις

δεν παίρνει καθόλου χρόνο.

Πολύ γρήγορα τώρα θα ξεφλουδίσω τα καρότα

και θα τα τρίψω στον τρίφτη.

Ορίστε έτοιμα και τα καροτάκια

και τελευταίο το σκόρδο.

Λοιπόν έφερα τον τρίφτη,

δεν θα το τρίψω σε αυτό το μεγάλο

το τρίβω στο μικρό μικρό,

για να είναι πάρα πολύ λεπτά

τα κομμάτια από το καρότο μέσα

Λοιπόν τα κομμάτια από το καρότο τα παίρνω

και δεν τα πετάω στα σκουπίδια, τα βγάζω έξω στον κήπο,

γιατί υπάρχουν ζωάκια το βράδυ.

Ορίστε λοιπόν όλα έτοιμα ψιλοκομμένα

και θα τα ρίξω στην κατσαρόλα με λίγο λαδάκι

Δεν αγοράζω λάδι από το Λονδίνο εγώ,

μου βάζει πάντα η γιαγιά μου λάδι από το χωριό

γιαυτό το έχω μέσα σε αυτό το μπουκάλι

είναι μπουκάλι coca-cola.

Έχουν ξεκινήσει και τσιγαρίζονται ήδη τα κρεμμύδια,

δεν ξέρω αν ακούγονται.

Στο μεταξύ όσο περιμένω θα πιω και λίγο νερό.

Όσο έχω τις φακές στο νερό

θα προσθέσω μέσα στην κατσαρόλα επίσης

το καρότο, το σκόρδο και το φύλλο δάφνης.

Βάζω και το καρότο για να είναι γλυκό.

Τέλος το τελευταίο υλικό είναι οι φακές που τις έχω εδώ

και τις έχω καθαρίσει.

Κάτι που δεν σας έχω πει για μένα

είναι ότι βαριέμαι πάρα πολύ να πλένω πιάτα

και ευτυχώς που έχω ένα πλυντήριο πιάτων

και τα βάζω όλα εκεί.

Να σας πω την αλήθεια δεν ξέρω

πόση ώρα βράζουν τις φακές.

Εγώ τις κάνω με το μάτι,

δηλαδή μετά από ίσως κανά εικοσάλεπτο

κοιτάω αν είναι έτοιμες, τις δοκιμάζω.

Είχα ξεχάσει ότι πάνω σε μία καρέκλα

είχα βάλει ένα ποτήρι νερό

και έχυσα όλο το νερό στο πάτωμα.

Σχεδόν έτοιμο.

Έχω βάλει και την πιτούλα να γίνεται

Αυτά είναι μερικά έξτρα καλούδια.

Πίτες, πιπεριές φλωρίνης και ελίτσες.

Μόλις τελείωσα επιτέλους με τα μαθήματα

και ήρθα στο κρεβατάκι μου.

Για βραδινό θα φάω κάτι πολύ ελαφρύ

θα σας το δείξω τώρα, το έχω εδώ πέρα

πάνω στο γραφείο μου.

Και θα δω ίσως καμία ταινία,

δεν ξέρω, έτσι για να χαλαρώσω

και να τελειώσει ευχάριστα η μέρα μου

Λοιπόν θα σας δείξω τι έχω φτιάξει.

Είναι τύπου σαν μία εύκολη σαλάτα

έχω βάλει κους-κους από την μια πλευρά

έχω ρίξει μέσα μανιτάρια, φρέσκια ντομάτα,

πιπεριά κόκκινη και βασιλικό.

Θα τα ανακατέψω όλα μαζί

και θα προσθέσω και λίγο μπαλσάμικο.

Αυτό θα είναι το βραδινό μου!

Όχι κάτι δύσκολο.

Το κους-κους είναι κάτι πάρα πολύ εύκολο.
