約翰福音18
耶穌 說 了 這話 ， 就 同 門徒 出去 ， 過了 汲淪溪 。
When Jesus had said this, he went out with his disciples and crossed the Kidron Creek.
在 那裡 有 一個 園子 ， 他 和 門徒 進去 了 。
There was a garden there, and he and his disciples entered.
賣 耶穌 的 猶大 也 知道 那 地方 ， 因為 耶穌 和 門徒 屢次 上 那裡 去 聚集 。
Judas, who betrayed Jesus, also knew the place, because Jesus and his disciples went there many times to gather.
猶大 領 了 一隊 兵 ， 和 祭司長 並 法利賽 人 的 差役 ， 拿 著 燈籠 、 火把 、 兵器 ， 就 來到 園裡 。
Judas led a company of soldiers, and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, with lanterns, torches, and weapons, and came into the garden.
耶穌 知道 將要 臨到 自己 的 一切 事 ， 就 出來 對 他們 說 ： 你們 找 誰 ？
Jesus, knowing all that was about to happen to him, went out and said to them, Who are you looking for?
他們 回答 說 ： 找 拿 撒勒人 耶穌 。
耶穌 說 ： 我 就是 。
賣 他 的 猶大 也 同 他們 站 在 那裡 。
Judas who betrayed him stood there with them.
耶穌 一說 我 就是 ， 他們 就 退後 倒 在 地上 。
As soon as Jesus said I am, they fell back and fell to the ground.
他 又問 他們 說 ： 你們 找 誰 ？
他們 說 ： 找 拿 撒勒人 耶穌 。
耶穌 說 ： 我 已經 告訴 你們 ， 我 就是 。
Jesus said: I have told you that I am.
你們 若 找 我 ， 就讓 這些 人去罷 。
這要 應驗 耶穌 從前 的話 ， 說 ： 你 所 賜給 我 的 人 ， 我 沒有 失落 一個 。
西門 彼得 帶著 一把 刀 ， 就 拔出來 ， 將 大祭司 的 僕人 砍 了 一刀 ， 削掉 他 的 右耳 ； 那 僕人 名叫 馬勒古 。
耶穌 就 對 彼得 說 ： 收 刀 入 鞘 罷 ， 我父 所給 我 的 那 杯 ， 我 豈可 不 喝 呢 ？
那隊 兵 和 千夫長 ， 並 猶太人 的 差役 就 拿 住 耶穌 ， 把 他 捆綁 了 ， 先 帶到 亞那 面前 ， 因為 亞那 是 本年 作 大祭司 該亞法 的 岳父 。
The soldiers, the commander of the thousands, and the officers of the Jews took Jesus, bound him, and brought him first to Annas, because Annas was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the high priest this year.
這 該亞法 就是 從前 向 猶太人 發 議論 說 一個 人 替 百姓 死 是 有益 的 那位 。
This Caiaphas was the one who once argued to the Jews that it was beneficial for a man to die for the people.
西門 彼得 跟 著 耶穌 ， 還有 一個 門徒 跟 著 。
Simon Peter followed Jesus, and another disciple followed.
那 門徒 是 大祭司 所 認識 的 ， 他 就 同 耶穌 進 了 大祭司 的 院子 。
The disciple was known to the high priest, and he went with Jesus into the high priest's courtyard.
彼得 卻 站 在 門外 。
Peter was standing outside the door.
大祭司 所 認識 的 那個 門徒 出來 ， 和 看門 的 使女 說 了 一聲 ， 就領 彼得 進去 。
The disciple known to the high priest went out, spoke to the servant girl who kept the door, and brought Peter in.
那 看門 的 使女 對 彼得 說 ： 你 不 也 是 這人 的 門徒 麼 ？
The servant girl who kept the door said to Peter, Are you not also this man's disciple?
他 說 ： 我 不是 。
He said: I am not.
僕人 和 差役 因為 天冷 ， 就生 了 炭火 ， 站 在 那裡 烤火 ； 彼得 也 同 他們 站 著 烤火 。
大祭司 就 以 耶穌 的 門徒 和 他 的 教訓 盤問 他 。
The high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and his teachings.
耶穌 回答 說 ： 我 從來 是 明明 的 對 世人 說話 。
Jesus answered: I have never spoken to the world plainly.
我常 在 會堂 和 殿裡 ， 就是 猶太人 聚集 的 地方 教訓 人 ； 我 在 暗地 裡並 沒有 說 甚麼 。
I always teach in synagogues and temples, where the Jews gather; I say nothing in secret.
你 為 甚麼 問我 呢 ？
可以 問那 聽見 的 人 ， 我 對 他們 說 的 是 甚麼 ； 我 所說 的 ， 他們 都 知道 。
Ask those who hear what I say to them; they know what I say.
耶穌 說 了 這話 ， 旁邊 站 著 的 一個 差役 用 手掌 打 他 ， 說 ： 你 這樣 回答 大祭司 麼 ？
When Jesus said this, one of the servants standing beside him beat him with the palm of his hand and said, "Do you answer the high priest like this?"
耶穌 說 ： 我 若 說 的 不是 ， 你 可以 指證 那 不是 ； 我 若 說 的 是 ， 你 為 甚麼 打 我 呢 ？
Jesus said: If I say no, you can testify that it is not; if I say yes, why did you hit me?
亞那 就 把 耶穌 解 到 大祭司 該亞法 那裡 ， 仍 是 捆 著 解 去 的 。
Annas took Jesus to Caiaphas, the high priest, but he was still bound.
西門 彼得 正站 著 烤火 ， 有人 對 他 說 ： 你 不 也 是 他 的 門徒 麼 ？
Simon Peter was standing and heating the fire, when someone said to him, Are you not one of his disciples too?
彼得 不 承認 ， 說 ： 我 不是 。
Peter denied it, saying: I am not.
有 大祭司 的 一個 僕人 ， 是 彼得 削掉 耳朵 那人 的 親屬 ， 說 ： 我 不是 看見 你 同 他 在 園子 裡麼 ？
One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man Peter cut off his ear, said, "Didn't I see you in the garden with him?
彼得 又 不 承認 。
立時 雞 就 叫 了 。
眾人 將 耶穌 從 該亞法 那裡 往 衙門 內 解 去 ， 那時 天 還早 。
It was still early when the crowd took Jesus away from Caiaphas into the yamen.
他們 自己 卻 不進 衙門 ， 恐怕 染 了 污穢 ， 不能 吃 逾越節 的 筵席 。
But they themselves did not enter the yamen, lest they become unclean and would not be able to eat the Passover.
彼拉多 就 出來 ， 到 他們 那裡 ， 說 ： 你們 告 這人 是 為 甚麼 事 呢 ？
Pilate went out, went to them, and said, What are you accusing this man of?
他們 回答 說 ： 這人 若 不是 作惡 的 ， 我們 就 不 把 他 交給 你 。
They answered: Unless this man is an evildoer, we will not hand him over to you.
彼 拉多 說 ： 你們 自己 帶 他 去 ， 按著 你們 的 律法 審問 他罷 。
Pilate said: Take him yourselves, and judge him according to your law.
猶太人 說 ： 我們 沒有 殺人 的 權柄 。
這要 應驗 耶穌 所說 自己 將要 怎樣 死 的話 了 。
This will fulfill what Jesus said about how he would die.
彼 拉多 又 進 了 衙門 ， 叫 耶穌 來 ， 對 他 說 ： 你 是 猶太人 的 王麼 ？
Pilate entered the office again, called Jesus, and said to him, Are you the king of the Jews?
耶穌 回答 說 ： 這話 是 你 自己 說 的 ， 還是 別人 論 我 對 你 說 的 呢 ？
Jesus answered: Did you say this yourself, or did someone else say it to you about me?
彼 拉多 說 ： 我 豈 是 猶太人 呢 ？
Pilate said: Am I a Jew?
你 本國 的 人 和 祭 司長 把 你 交給 我 。
The people of your country and the chief priests handed you over to me.
你 做 了 甚麼 事 呢 ？
耶穌 回答 說 ： 我 的 國 不屬 這 世界 ； 我 的 國若屬 這 世界 ， 我 的 臣僕 必要 爭戰 ， 使 我 不至於 被 交給 猶太人 。
Jesus answered: My kingdom is not of this world; if my kingdom were of this world, my servants would fight so that I would not be handed over to the Jews.
只是 我 的 國不屬 這 世界 。
It's just that my country is not of this world.
彼 拉多 就 對 他 說 ： 這樣 ， 你 是 王麼 ？
耶穌 回答 說 ： 你 說 我 是 王 。
我 為此而生 ， 也 為 此 來到 世間 ， 特為 給 真理 作 見證 。
I was born for this, and I came into this world for this, to bear witness to the truth.
凡屬 真理 的 人 就 聽 我 的話 。
All who are of the truth listen to me.
彼 拉多 說 ： 真理 是 甚麼 呢 ？
說 了 這話 ， 又 出來 到 猶太人 那裡 ， 對 他們 說 ： 我 查不出 他 有 甚麼 罪來 。
Having said this, he went out to the Jews again, and said to them, I cannot find any guilt in him.
但 你們 有個 規矩 ， 在 逾越節 要 我給 你們 釋放 一個 人 ， 你們 要 我給 你們 釋放 猶太人 的 王麼 ？
But you have a rule, you want me to release a man for you at Passover, do you want me to release the king of the Jews for you?
他們 又 喊 著 說 ： 不要 這人 ， 要 巴拉巴 ！
They shouted again: Not this man, but Barabbas!
這 巴拉巴 是 個 強盜 。
