扱って いる ソフト に も 興味 が あった し 、同僚 も いい 人 だった んです が 、

リーマンショック が 起こった わけです 。

リーマンブラザーズ の ね 。 あれ です よ 。 2008 年 か な 。

その 時 私 が 務めて いた 会社 は 北米 に 世界 の ヘッドクオーター が あった んです が 、日本 法人 も もちろん 打撃 を 受け まして 、

当時 一 番 下っ端 だった 、しがない 派遣 社員 の 私 は バッサリ と 派遣切り に 合い 、職 を 失って しまいました 。 切ない です ねぇ 。

そして 次 も 同じく IT 系 の 会社 に 入り まして 、

客先 常駐 で 、社内 の ソフトウェア の トラブル 対処 と か 社内 から の 問い合わせ に 対応 と か 、そういう こと を やって いました 。 自分 の 会社 自体 は そんな 大きい 会社 で は なかった んです が 、

常駐 先 の 会社 は すごく 大きな 会社 で 、良い 経験 に なった と 思って います 。 なんか 初め に 就職 した ホテル と 、その あと 2 つ 目 以降 の IT系 の 会社 って 全然 ね 関連 して ない ように 感じる んです けど 、ま ぁ ぶっちゃけ 関連 して ない んです が 、 でも 顧客 対応 の 面 とか は ホテル で の 経験 が 役立った なって 今 は 思う し 、その 軌道 修正 によって ね 、

どちら か と いう と コンピュータ に 強く なれた ので 、

アメリカ に 引っ越して きて から も 、周り の 知り合い や 友達 が コンピュータ 系 で 困って いる とき に 助けて あげたり できて いて 、

ちょっと ここ 数 年 の 最新 の コンピュータ 事情 、 IT 事情 は 全然 パッパラパー です けど 、それ でも 働いて いた 経験 で 得た 基礎 知識 と いうか 、そい うの が 今 でも 役立って いて 嬉しい な と 思います 。 で 、忘れて は なら ない 、タップダンス なん です が 、

そう 、私 タップダンサー な んです けど 、「タップダンサー だった 」って 、過去 形 で は 言い たく ない 。 今 だって タップダンサー ！ 生涯 現役 ！ はい 。

タップダンス は 地元 に いた 頃 から 趣味 と して です けど やって いて 、

東京 に 引っ越して きて から は 、更に のめり込んで 週 に 何 回 も クラス を 受けたり して 、

そう して いる うち に 、スタジオ から 声 を かけて もらって スタジオ の ね 、カンパニー の メンバー として パフォーマンス したり 、

あと は レッスン も 教えて いたり しました 。 生徒 は ね 、 若い キッズ から 大人 、 大人 を 超えて おばあ ちゃ まま で いて 、

下 は 5 歳 から 、上 は 80 歳 の ね 、おばあちゃま が いたり して 、幅広く 教えて いました 。 アメリカ に 来る 前 、直前 の 日本 で の 生活 の 最後 の 方 は 、 IT の 仕事 は やめて 、

タップ を 教える こと に 加えて 、その タップダンススタジオ の 事務 と いう か 、お金 関係 の こと とか 、色々な 仕事 とかも やったり してました ね 。 はい 、と いう ざっと です が 、

私 の 学歴 と 経歴 に ついて お 答え して みました 。 私 、別に 高い 学歴 が ある わけで も ない し 、仕事 も 一流 企業 に 務めて た とかも ないで す けど 、

こう やって 改めて 話して みる と 、なかなか 行動的な 人生 を 送って きた なって 思います ね 。 退屈 知ら ず ！ いい です ね 。

そして 今では アメリカ に 住んで て 、なぜ か アメリカ で 大学生 やって いるって いう ね 、謎 です ね 。 私 の 人生 、自分 でも よく わかりません 。 どう なる んでしょう ね 、楽しみ です 。

★最近 の 出来事

最近 の 出来事 で いくつか 話す こと が あった んです けど 、忘れちゃった 、なんだっけ かな 。 あ 、そう 、嬉しい お 知らせ ！

嬉しい って 、ただ 私 が 個人的に 嬉しい だけ なんですけど 、やっと 、ついに 、運転免許証 の 更新 が 完了 しました ー ！ 長かった 。 え 、結局 どの くらい かかった ？ 今回 の 更新 手続き 、8 月 の 頭 に 最初 行った から 、

8 ヶ月 。 8 ヶ月 も かかりました 。 長かった です 。

なに な に 、 なんで そんなに かかってる の ？ って 思う 方 多い と 思う んです けど 、去年 の 夏 アメリカ 滞在 の ため の Visa の 更新 手続き に 時間 が かかり まして 、

その 8月 の 頭 で 正式な VISA の 有効 期限 は 切れた 状態 に なって て 、

更新 手続き 中 なんで アメリカ に そのまま いる こと 自体 は 問題 なかった んです けど 、

運転 免許 の 交付 と か 、 今回 の ような 更新 に は 、 Visa の 日付 が ちゃんと 延長 更新 された 状態 が 必要な ん です よ ね 。

Visa あり き という か ね 、この 人 は 今 、アメリカ に 合法的に 滞在してます よ 。 ちゃんと ビザ 持ってます よって いう の が ベース に あって 、それ が 確認 できた 状態 で ない と 運転 免許 は 取れ ない と いう 。 ま 、そういう 背景 が あり まして 、8 ヶ月 越し で 免許証 の カード が 手元 に 届きました 。 ふ ー ！ 良かった ぁ 。

トータル で 何 回 DMV 行った っけ か な 。 運転 免許 センター ね 。

この 8 ヶ月 、ずっと テンポラリー の 仮 免許 は 維持 できて た んです よね 。

私 の 住んでいる エリア で は 車 が ない と やっぱり 困ります から 。 途中 で それ も 、仮 免 の 維持 も 危うかった んです けど 事情 を 話して 交渉 し つつ 、なんとか 運転 し続ける こと は できた ので 良かった んです が 、

って 言って も ね 、やっぱり 免許 証 の カード 、欲しい じゃない ですか 。

期限 の 切れた カード は 手元 に あった んです けど 、

それ に 加えて 常に 仮 免許 の 紙 、何て 言う んですか 、そのまま か 。 仮 免許 か 。 ただ の 紙切れ な んです けど 、

それ を 常に 持ってい なくちゃ いけなくて 、

通常 の 免許 更新 の 時 に ね 、1 ヶ月 とか その 紙切れ 持って いる の は 別に いい んです けど 、

なんてったって 8 ヶ月 です から ね 。 長かった なぁ 。

ま ぁ 運転 できる って 言う 許可 は ね 、仮 免許 の 紙 が あれば 証明 できる んです が 、いくら 仮 免許 の 紙 を 持ってて も 、免許証 に 書かれてる 有効 期限 が 半年 前 とか に 切れてる って 、なんか ちょっと イメージ的に 悪い じゃない ですか 。 何度 も 言います が 、 問題 は ない ん です よ 、 運転 に 全然 問題ない ん です が 、 例えば 道端 で ポリース に 何 か の きっかけ で 止められて 、「 はい 、 免許 見せて ー 」って 言われた 時 に 「 何で 君 は 半年 以上 も 仮 免許 の まま な ん だ 」 みたいな こと 言われて 、 トラブったら 怖い な ー なんか 嫌だ な ーって 思って て 。 何も 問題 無い はずの 事 が 問題 に なる の が アメリカ です から ね 。

そういう 余計な トラブル の 元 に なり そうで 、やだな ーって 思ってた んです が 、おかげさまで 特に 何も 困る こと は 起こらず 、 今回 晴れて 、更新 済み の 免許 カード を ゲット しました 。 めでたい 。

1 つ 悲しい こと と 言えば 、免許 証 の 写真 が 最悪の 写り って こと です ね 。 もう この 写真 を 撮った 日 の こと 全然 覚えて ない んです けど 、

髪 の 毛 も ひどい し 、化粧 は 全然 して ない し 、なのに 眉毛 だけ 濃い し 、

男 な の か 女 な の か わから ない ような 、

国籍 年齢 、更に は 性別 不詳 の 誰 か が 写ってる って 感じ で 。 ちょっと この 写真 は ひどい です ね 。

次回 、2023 年 の 夏 かな 、更新 な ので 、その 時 には 女子力 上げて 、写真 写り も 気に したい とも います 。 この 運転 免許 の 更新 で 四苦八苦 して いる こと に ついて 、 大変 です ね ー と か 、 早く 解決 する と いい い で すね ー と か

結構 皆さん から 声 を かけて もらって まして 、

ご 心配 を おかけ しました が 、ようやく 、この 問題 から 解放 されました 。 あと 最近 の 出来事 と 言えば 、

少し 前 に 土日 で 1泊 でした が キャンプ に 行ってきました 。 家 から 1 時間 弱 の 近場 の キャンプ場 に お友達 夫婦 と 行った んですけど 、最高 でした 。

ここ 数 週間 で 、この 辺り の エリア は だいぶ 気温 も 上がって 春めいて きた んです けど 、この キャンプ を した 週末 は

春 を 通り越して 初夏 みたいな いい お 天気 で 、

最高 でした 。

2、3 週間 くらい 前 に キャンプ サイト の 予約 を 取った んです が 、もう その 時点 で 人気 の 広々 してたり 、景色 が 良かったり っていう 区画 は ほぼ ほぼ 埋まっていて 、唯一 1 箇所 残って いた ところ を 予約 できて です ね 、 実際 到着 して みたら 、すごく 広々 、自然 を バーンって 感じられる 所 で 、とっても 良かった です 。 夕 ご飯 の 前 に は 2 時間 くらい かな 、近く の トレイル を 歩いて 、

その トレイル も とても 良くて 、鹿 が いたり 、 wild pig 猪 、小さい 猪 です ね 、が いたり 、あと すっごく 大きい 牛 が トレイル の 左右 に いて 、その 間 を 通ったり して 、すんごい 、すんごい 大きい 牛 だった んです よ 。 とにかく 、動物 も たくさん いて 、緑 も 多くて 、すごく いい トレイル でした 。

ご飯 も 、どちら の 夫婦 も お酒 を 飲む ので 、おつまみ 大会 みたいな 感じ で 、色々 作り ながら 飲みながら 食べながら って 感じ で 、とっても 楽しかった です 。 チーズ 、カンベール 、違う か 、ブリー かな 、と ブロッコリー と プチトマト と 一緒に フライパン で 焼いて 、それ を 食べたり 、

うち の 夫 が 初めて スモーク に 挑戦 し まして 、薫製 か 。

チーズ の 薫製 とか スルメ とか 、あと は アーモンド や カシューナッツ の 薫製 が 美味しかった です 。

私 は 豆腐 山芋 鉄板 焼き を 小さめの キャスト アイロン で 作り まして 、

キャンプ らしく ね 、キャンプファイヤー の 直火 で 作って みて 、これ が 大成功 で めっちゃ 美味しかった です 。 家 でも ちょくちょく 作ろう と 思った くらい 。 リピート 決定 です 。

あと は 、鮭 鮭 の ちゃん ちゃん 焼き を お 友達 が 作って くれて 、

それ に 合わせて 熱 燗 飲んじゃったり して 、最高 でしょ 。 あと は コリアン の タコ の 辛い マリネ 、 焼く だけ の レトルトカレー みたいな パウチ に 入った 、 辛い 味付け が ついて いる タコ を 友達 が 持ってきて いて 、

それ も 焼いて 食べて 、超 美味しくて 、

しかも それ に 合わせて 韓国 の お酒 である チャミスル も 持ってきて くれて て 、タコ 辛い ！ 美味しい ！ チャミスル 美味 い ！ ゴク ！ って ね 、ま ぁ 合う んです よ 。

完全なる 食 と お酒 の パーティー キャンプ でした ね 。

1 泊 だった ので 翌日 に は 帰ら なければ ならなかった のです が 、

朝 も 結構 ゆっくり 、片付け も のんびり して 、お 昼 くらい かな 、に キャンプ サイト を 後 に して 帰って きました 。 近場 の キャンプ は 、早い 時間 に 家 に 着く ので 、そこ から ゆっくり 片付けたり 体 を 休めたり できる の が 良い ポイント だ なって 思って いて 、

わかります ？ 日曜日 に 遠く から 夜 遅く 家 に 着く と 、 あー 、 明日 もう 仕事 な のに ー 、 学校 な のに ー 、 めっちゃ 疲れた ーって なって 、 次の 日 死に そうに なり ながら 頑張る みたいな こと が ある と 思う ん です けど 、 近場 キャンプ は それ が 軽減 さ れる ので 、

本当 、土 日 1 泊 でも 気軽に 、じゃ 、行こう かって なります よね 。 お 天気 に も キャンプ サイト に も 、友達 に も 、そして 食べ物 や お酒 に も 恵まれた 、とっても 良い キャンプ でした 。

この キャンプ の 土 日 は 、私 の カレッジ の 春 休み が 終わる 週末 でした 。

だから その 1 週間 は 、結構 平日 も のんびり して 、で 休み の 締め と して キャンプ も 楽しんで すごく リフレッシュ しました ね 。 うち の 旦那さん の ディストリクト は 今週 が 春休み なんです よ 。

少し 前 に 、私 が ね 、前倒し で 学校 の 課題 とか を 終わらせる 事 が できれば 、

この 旦那 さん の 春 休み の 週 に 平日 キャンプ に どっか また 行く の も いいね ー なんて 話して た ん です が 、 毎週 普通に その 週 の 課題 を やる の に 精一杯 の 私 は 、 前倒し で 色々 やる なんて 結局 でき ず 、 今週 は 普通に 私 は 学校 の 勉強 を し 、

旦那 さん は 1 人 、春 休み を 満喫 する という こと に なりました 。 と ほほ 。

でも 、せっかく な ので 平日 に 一緒に どっか 近所 に ランチ に 行ったり 、散歩 したり とか は したい なー と 思っています 。
