Fu per questo motivo che lo ribattezzò “runner”, alludendo a Road Runner, il celebre “struzzo” inseguito da Wile Coyote nel cartone animato della Warner Bros. Alla fine riuscì ad agguantarlo e a batterlo con pochi colpi. Tuttavia, dopo quell'incontro, Bruce si sentì stremato, e realizzò che la sua forma fisica non era ancora quella che avrebbe voluto.
