ESCENA II
A tipical market in the open air in any rural village...un mercado típico al aire libre en cualquier pueblo rural.

Macario

Panadero

Macario
But this isn't enough, esto no alcanza ni, even for tonight's dinner, ni para la comida esta noche. I have my wife, Tengo a mi esposa and my three kids, y mis tres hijos. What are they going to eat now? ¿Qué van a comer ellos ahora?
Panadero

(Macario arriving at the hut. Macario llegando a la choza. The three children, los tres hijos come out running, salen corriendo, shouting "Papá", gritando "Papá", "Papá". Paco
I'm so hungry, Yo tengo tanta hambre que my stomach hurts, me duele el estómago, Papi.
Elope
¡Paco!
Macario
No. Elope. It's o.k. Está bien. The kid, el niño tiene hambre...is hungry. Let him eat, que se coma mi porción. Excuse me. Con permiso.
Macario gets up. Macario se levanta and leaves the room, y sale del cuarto. Elope también, also se levanta y sale. Elope follow Macario to the door, Elop sigue a Macario hasta la puerta de la casa, of the house.
Elope
