你 現在 收聽 的 是 《台味 中文 Learn Chinese, the Taiwanese Way》 ，

我 是 你 的 中文 小 老師 小安 。

今天 我 想 解釋 一下 幾個 台灣人 很 常 講 的 詞 ：

「 順便 」、「 順手 」、 還有 「 順路 」。

這 幾個 詞 我們 在 日常生活 中 都 超級 常用 到 ，

但是 我 覺得 滿難 翻譯 成 英文 的 。

首先 ，我們 先 來看 一下 「順便 」。

如果 我們 做 一件 事 ，剛好 可以 做 另外 一件 事 ，

這時候 我們 就 可以 用 「順便」 ，

我們 可以 說 「做 A 順便 做 B 」。

通常 第二件 事 跟 第一件 事 比 起來 是 比較 次要 的 、

比較 沒有 那麼 重要 的 、

或是 你 後來 才 決定 要 做 的 。

那 你 用 「 順便 」 的話 ， 通常 背後 有 一個 隱含 的 意思 (hidden meaning) 是

如果 兩件 事情 都 做 的話 ，你 覺得 你 可以 省下 一點 麻煩 (saveyourselfsometrouble)。

這樣 說 可能 有點 抽象 (abstract)，

我們 來看 一個 例子 好 了 。

比如說 你 剛 起床 要 去 外面 買 早餐 ，

這時候 你 突然 想到 ：

「啊 ，有 一封信 要 寄還 沒 寄 。」

這時候 你 可能 就會 接著 想 說 ：

「我 既然 都 要 出去 買 早餐 了 ，那 就 順便 去 把 這 封 信 寄 一 寄 吧 ！這樣 就 不用 跑 兩趟 了 。」

所以 這個 例子 裡面 你 主要 想 做 的 事情 是 買 早餐 ，

然後 你 突然 想到 你 也 可以 寄信 ，

剛好 這 兩件 事 你 可以 一次 做 完 、不用 分 兩次 做 ，

這樣 省時 (savetime)又 省力 (saveeffort)、很 方便 ，

這時候 用 「順便 」就 很 適合 。

那 我們 叫 別人 幫忙 做 事情 的 時候 ， 我們 也 很 常用 「 順便 」 這個 詞 。

我們 來 延續 (continue)剛剛 那個 例子 。

假如 說 你 跟 你 朋友 住在一起 ，

這時候 如果 他 看到 你 要 出門 買 早餐 ，

他 自己 也 還沒 吃 的話 ，

他 可能 就 會 說 ：

「欸 ，你 要 買 早餐 的話 ，順便 也 幫 我 買 ！」

這時候 你 就 可以 回說 ：

「好啊！ 我 順便 幫 你 買 。你 要 吃 什麼 ？」

這裡 用 「順便」 是 因為 你 朋友 已經 知道 你 要 出門 去 買 早餐 了 ，

而且 他 覺得 你 幫 他 買 早餐 不會 很 麻煩 ，

所以 他 說 「順便 也 幫 我 買 」。

然後 你 回答 「我 順便 幫 你 買 」，

這樣 就 表示 你 自己 也 覺得 「幫 他 買 早餐 」這件 事 不會 很 麻煩 。

那 我們 來看 看 什麼 時候 不能 用 「順便 」。

如果 今天 你 朋友 連 你 要 不要 出門 都 不 知道 ，

這時候 用 「順便」 就 不 適合 。

因為 如果 你 沒有 要 出門 ，

他 還叫 你 幫 他 買 早餐 ，

這樣 對 你 來說 一點 都 不 方便 。

這時候 他 可能 就 會 直接 問 說 ：

「你 可以 幫 我 買 早餐 嗎 ？」

另外 一個 可能性 是 他 會 問 說 ：

「你 等等 有 要 出門 嗎 ？如果 你 有 要 出門 的話 ，可以 順便 幫 我 買 早餐 嗎 ？」

這裡 可以 用 順便 ，

因為 你 朋友 假設 (suppose)如果 你 有 要 出門 的話 再 幫 他 買 早餐 就 好 ；

如果 你 沒有 要 出門 的話 就 不用 幫 他 買 了 ，

因為 對 你 來說 不 方便 嘛 。

好 ，所以 我們 從 這個 例子 學到 ：

首先 ，我們 如果 做 一件 事 同時 還 可以 再 做 另外 一件 事 的 時候 我們 就 可以 用 順便 。

像是

「我要 去 日本 玩 順便 逛街 買 衣服 。」

這裡 就是說 你 要 去 日本 渡假 、 去 日本 觀光 ，

同時 去 買 東西 。

這是 台灣 人 很 喜歡 做 的 事情 ，

因為 在 日本 買 衣服 或是 買 藥妝 (medicineandmakeup)通常 都 會 比 在 台灣 買 還要 便宜 。

再來 ，

如果 你 看到 或是 你 知道 一個 人 要 做 一件 事 ，然後 你 想到 他 剛好 可以 幫 你 做 另 一件 事 ，

而且 這件 事 不會 對 他 造成 麻煩 、又 可以 帶給 你 方便 ，

這時候 你 也 可以 說 「順便 」。

像是 如果 你 朋友 聽到 你 要 去 日本 玩 ，這時候

這時候 他 可能 就會 問 你 ：

「可以 順便 幫 我 買 這款 化妝品 嗎 ？在 日本 買 便宜 很多 。」

那 我們 來看 另外 一個 意思 跟 「順便」 很 接近 的 詞 ：「順手」 。

順手 通常 後面 都 是 接會 用到 「手 」的 動作 ，

比如說

「經過 便利商店 就 順手 買 了 零食 」、

「出門 順手 丟 垃圾 」、

「看到 桌子 髒 了 就 順手 擦 一下 」、

「看到 東西 掉 了 就 順手 撿起來 」，

這裡 的 順手 我們 也 可以 用 順便 。

而且 你 有沒有 注意 到 這裡 的 順手 後面 都 是 接著 一些 手部 動作 ，

像是 買 、丟 、擦 、跟 撿 。

但是 如果 是 不會 用到 手 的 動作 ，我們 就 不能 用 「順手 」。

我們 就 不能 說 「跟 教授 打招呼 順手 問 問題 」，

我們 要 說 「跟 教授 打招呼 順便 問 問題 」。

我們 也 不能 說 「喝杯 咖啡 順手 坐 下來 休息 」，

我們 要 說 「喝杯 咖啡 順便 坐 下來 休息 」。

再來 ，還有 一個 順手 跟 順便 比較 不 一樣 的 地方 是 ：

當 我們 做 一個 動作 前 或是 做 一個 動作 後 會 習慣性 地 (habitually)做 另外 一個 動作 ，

這時候 也 可以 用 「順手」 。

像是

「開 冷氣 前 順手 關 窗戶 」、

「出門 後 順手 檢查 門 有沒有 鎖上 」。

那 我們 也 常常 用 「順手」 來 提醒 人 要 養成 一個 習慣 ，

像是

「為了 省電 ，請 養成 順手 關燈 、關冷氣 的 習慣 。」

或是

「看到 不會 的 字 就 順手 寫下來 吧 ！之後 你 才 會 記得 去查 這些 字 的 意思 。」

那 順手 還有 另外 一個 意思 是 我們 做 一件 事情 做得 很 順利 、很 習慣 ，

我們 很快 就 可以 做完 或是 可以 做得 很 好 。

比如說 你 學 中文 學 好幾年 了 ，你 寫 中文字 沒有 什麼 問題 ，

你 不會 忘記 字 怎麼 寫 、

或是 你 甚至 可以 把 字 寫 得 很 漂亮 ，

這時候 你 就 可以 說 ：

「我 中文字 已經 可以 寫 得 很 順手 了 。」

順手 也 可以 用 在 工作 上 。

我 相信 大家 開始 做 一個 新 工作 都 會 覺得 不 習慣 ，

有 很 多 新 的 事情 要 學習 。

但是 可能 一年 、兩年 之後 你 就 會 變得 很 習慣 你 的 工作 ，

每天 要 做 的 事情 你 都 很 熟悉 了 、

也 很少 遇到 什麼 困難 ，

這時候 你 就 可以 說 ：

「我 現在 工作 做 得 很 順手 。」

那 我們 有時候 做 一個 動作 做得 太 習慣了 ，

我們 可能 甚至 會 在 不該 做 那個 動作 的 時候 不經 大腦 思考 (withoutthinkingmuch)就 很 直覺 地 (byintuition)做 那個 動作 ，

這時候 我們 就 可以 說 ：

「我 做 得 太 順手 了 。」

比如說 我 不 知道 你 會 不會 像 我 一樣 ，

用 電腦 的 時候 會 一次 開 很多 網頁 (websites)，

最後 瀏覽器 (browser)上 就 有 一大排 分頁 (tabs)，

然後 就 會 變得 很 難 找到 你 想 看 的 那個 。

這時候 你 就 會 一次 關掉 好幾個 網頁 。

但是 有時候 關得 太快 了 ，

你 的 眼睛 跟不上 你 的 手 ，

你 就 會 滑鼠 按 下去 之後 才 發現 ：

啊 ！你 不 小心 關掉 你 想 看 的 那個 網頁 。

這時候 你 就 可以 說 ：

「關 網頁 關得 太 順手 了 ，不 小心 把 想 看 的 網頁 關掉 了 。」

最後 ，順手 還有 另外 一個 意思 是 東西 很 好用 、用起來 很 容易 。

像是

「這支 筆 寫起來 很 順手 。」

意思 就是 這隻 筆 很 好寫 、這支 筆 寫起來 很 容易 。

或是 ，「這台 機器 操作 起來 很 順手 。」

意思 就是 這台 機器 很 好操作 、操作 起來 很 容易 。

順手 這個 詞 的 意思 滿多 的 ！

希望 我 沒有 讓 你 覺得 頭 很 痛 。

那 我們 接下來 來看 下 一個 詞 。

接下來 的 一個 也 有 順 的 詞 是 「順路」 。

我們 通常 會 說 一個 地方 順路 ，

意思 是 會 經過 那個 地方 、

或是 你 要 去 的 地方 跟 那個 地方 是 同一個 方向 的 。

比如說 你 跟 你 朋友 都 要 回家 而且 你們 住 附近 ，

然後 你 剛好 開車 來 ，

這時候 你 就 可以 問 他 說 ：

「 反正 順路 ， 要 不要 順便 送 你 回家 ？」

或是 回到 之前 的 例子 ，

你 跟 你 朋友 住在 一起 ，

然後 你 朋友 看到 你 要 出門 買 早餐 ，

而且 這時候 他 很 想 喝 飲料 ，

他 就 可以 問 你 ：

「你 順路 經過 一家 便利商店 的話 ，可以 順便 幫 我 買 飲料 嗎 ？」

因為 順路 的 意思 是 同一個 方向 、同 一邊 嘛 ，

所以 順路 後面 通常 都 是 接 一些 「移動 」類的 詞 ，

像是

「回家 時 順路 去 超市 買菜 」、

或是

「既然 來 高雄 了 就 順路 到 一個 高雄 朋友 的 家 坐坐 」。

那 我們 來 比較 一下 「順便」 跟 「順路」 。

回到 最一 開始 「順便 」的 例子 。

我 剛剛 是 說 ：

「我要 出門 買 早餐 順便 去 寄信 。」

這裡 的 「順便 」可以 用 「順路 」嗎 ？

答案 是 可以 的 ，但是 有 條件 (conditions)。

如果 你 去 早餐 店 的 路上 會 經過 郵局 、

或是 早餐店 跟 郵局 是 在 同一個 方向 ，

這時候 你 就 可以 說 ：

「我要 出門 買 早餐 順路 去 寄信 」

那 什麼 時候 不能 用 順路 呢 ？

如果 今天 早餐店 跟 郵局 在 反方向 ，

一個 在 你家 左邊 、一個 在 你家 右邊 ，

這時候 就 不能 用 順路 了 。

因為 只要 方向 相反 就是 「不 順路 」了 。

但是 這時候 還是 可以 用 順便 ，

因為 你 可能 想 說 ：

「我 都 已經 要 出門 買 早餐 了 ，就算 不 順路 ，還是 可以 順便 去 郵局 寄 一下 信 。」

這樣 你 有沒有 搞清楚 「順便 」跟 「順路 」的 差別 了 ？

所以 他 說 「順便 也 幫 我 買 」。 so|he|said|by the way|also|help|me|buy so he says, "Also buy it for me while you're at it."
