この podcast で は アメリカ 生活 、海外 生活 を する 中 で 感じている こと や 苦労している こと 、

世間話 や 愚痴 など 話して 共有 して います 。 先日 、日本語 を 勉強 されて いる 方 から ご 質問 の メッセージ を いただきまして 、 この ポッドキャスト の 最初の 挨拶 は 何 と 言って います か ？ と いう ご 質問 でした 。

日本 に 住んで いる 方 で 、実際 メッセージ を 送って くれた の は 、その お 友達 か な 、一緒の 職場 の 方 か な 、日本人 の 方 から いただいた ん です けど 、

ご 質問 いただいた の は 、「世間話 や 愚痴 など 話して 共有して います 。」 の 「共有 」の 部分 でした 。

share です ね 。 共有 と 言って います 。 他 に も ね 、同じ 疑問 を 持たれて いる 方 が いらっしゃる かも と 思い 、お話して みました 。 日本語 を 勉強 されて いる 方 向け に 普段 スクリプト を website に 載せて いるんです けど 、この 始め の 挨拶 の 部分 って 、いつも 同じ だ から 要らない かって 思って 載せて なかった んです よ 。 でも そう か 、と 思って 。 いつも 毎回 聞く フレーズ だ からこそ 、はっきり 聞き取れ なかったり している と 気に なる よね って 、確かに 。 って 思いました 。 ご 質問 ありがとう ございました 。

それ から 、 最近 聴き 始めました ー と いう 、 しろ さん から も メッセージ いただき まして 、 EP097で 、アメリカ に 来て 少し して から 毎朝 ドリップコーヒー を 飲む ように なった って いう お話 を した んです けど 、 その 中 で 「ドリップコーヒー を 入れる ように なって からは 、インスタントコーヒー は 飲め なく なっちゃ いました 。 ただ の お湯 に 感じちゃう 」って お話したんです が 、 それ に 激しく 共感 しました ！ と いう メッセージ でした 。

わ ー い 、 共感 して もらえて 嬉しい です ！

さらに 、ちょっと 面白かった の が 、

そのまま いただいた 文面 読ま せて いただきます ね 。 ”「インスタントコーヒー は 泥水 」と 発言 し 周り の 人 に 引かれて いた のです が 、これ から は 「ただ の お湯 」と 言おう と 思います 。 ”しろ さん 面白い 。 インスタントコーヒー を 泥水 って 表現 する なんて 。 ちょっと 言い 方 。

ちょっと ね 、泥水 は ね 、インスタントコーヒー が 可哀想な ので 、少し 和らげて 私 と 同じ ように 「ただの お湯 」って 表現して あげて ください 。 こう やって 最新 の エピソード に ついて だけ で は なくて 、古い エピソード に ついて の コメント や メッセージ など も 大 歓迎 です 。

我が家 に は 2 匹 の 猫 が いて 、私 も 夫 も 2 匹 を 溺愛 を している んです が 、

これ まで 猫 たち に ついて しっかり と お 話し した こと が なかった と 思う のです が 、しよう しよう と は 思って いたんです けど ね 、まだ して なくて 。

な ので 今日 は ゆっくり 時間 を 取って 我が家 の 猫たち の 紹介 を させて いただきたい と 思います ！ 猫 たち の 名前 は 「ニャンチ 」と 「クロチ 」と いいます 。 1 匹 目 、 初め に に 飼い 始めた の が ニャンチ で 、 猫 だ から ニャン 、 それ に あだ名 的に 「 ち 」って 後ろ に つけて 「 ニャンチ 」 に なりました 。 昔 NHK の 番組 で ニャン ちゅっていた よ ね 。 それ に 似てます ね 。 ニャンチ って ね すごく 気に入ってる 名前 なんです が 、動物病院 に 行く と 毎回 スタッフ の 人 や 先生 が ニャンチ の 名前 を 読む のに 苦労する んです よ 。 名前 自体 が 珍しい し 、アルファベット で は 普通に ローマ字 読み で Nyanchi って 書いて るんです けど 、毎回 少し 無言 の 時間 が 流れて から 、「にゃ n ち 」と 読んで くれます 。 最近 で は ちょっと スペル を 変えよう と 思って いて 、スペイン 語 表記 の 「にゃ 」 N の 上 に ニョロ って やつ つけて 、ニョロ N と A で 「にゃ 」って 書こう かな って 思ってます 。 Ñanchi

この 辺り は スペイン 語 話す 人 が 多い から 、こっち の 方 が ローマ字 で 書く より も わかって もらえる 率 が 高い ので は ない か と 思って います 。 この ニャンチ は キジ トラ の 猫 ちゃん です 。

そして 2 匹 目 、 あと から 我が家 の メンバー に 加わった の が 「 クロチ 」 です 。 皆さん おそらく 簡単に 想像 できる ので は ない でしょう か 。

クロチ は 黒 猫 です 。 真っ黒 の 黒 猫 で 、魔女 宅 の ジジ に そっくり って 良く 言わ れます 。 我が家 で は 、2 匹 を まとめて 呼ぶ 時 は 、「ニャン くろ 」って 言います 。 「 ニャン くろ に ご飯 あげて ー 」 と か 「 ニャン くろ 達 が 待ってる から 早く 帰ろう 」 と いう 使い 方 です 。

ニャン くろ たち と の 出会い です が 、まず ニャンチ です ね 。

もう 何 年 も 前 の 話 な のです が 、当時 住んでいた アパート の 外 で 保護 を しました 。 少し 肌寒い 、なんか ね 、小雨 が 降って いた 朝 だった ように 覚えて います 。 明け方 5 時 とか かな 、その ぐらい だった んですけど 寝てたら ミャーミャー 外 から 猫 の 鳴き声 が 聞こえて 、外に 行って 探しに 行ったら いて 、

まだ とても 小さくて 確か 生まれて 2 ヶ月 くらい の 子猫 だった んです けど 、すごく やせ細って て 、目 が 病気 か 何 か で 全然 開いて いない ような 状態 でした 。 家 に 連れて 帰って 、ご飯 あげて シャワー 浴び させて って して 。 もう ね 、私 たち の 中 で は このまま うち で 飼おうって 感じ でした ね 。 実は ニャンチ の 前 に も 、別の 猫 を 保護 した 事 が あって その 時 は 、うち で は 飼え ない か な ーって こと で 、その 時 は その 猫 を 飼いたい って いう 人 が いた ので 譲った んです けど 、 そこ から 私 の ニャンニャン 欲 が ね すごい こ フツフツ と 膨らんで きて 、野良猫 を 見る たび に は 可愛い 〜 ！ って 言って なんか ちょっと 遊んだり とか 、

あと は 動物 を 保護 してる 施設 、アニマルシェルター が 近く に あるんですけど 、そこ に 行く と 保護されてる 猫ちゃん達 と ちょっと 遊べたり です よ 。 だから そこ に 行って ちょっと 猫 ちゃん 達 と 戯れたり したり も して 、

あー ー 猫 可愛い 。 や ばい 。 可愛い 。 って もう すごい なって て 、

で 、旦那さん と 、次 ね 、もしも 猫 を 保護 する ような こと が あったら 、そのまま 引き取って 我が家 に 迎え入れよう って こと を 話してた んです 。 それ で です よ 、ニャンチ と の 出会い が あり まして 、これ は 運命 だ わ 。 このまま 飼おう ！ と なりました 。 そして ニャンチ から 2 年 遅れ で クロチ を 飼い 始めた んです けど 、クロチ も ニャンチ と 同じく 野良 猫 でした 。 外 に いた の を 保護 した んです が 、

本当に その 当時 住んで いた 町 って 野良 猫 が 多い 街 だった んです 。 野良 猫 を 見 ない 日 は 無い レベル で めっちゃ 猫 いて 、どんどん みんな 子供 作って 、更に 増えて いく みたいな 、そういう 状況 だ と 思う んです けど 、 猫 ね 、 すごく 可愛 いくて 好き です けど 、 環境 の そんな 良く 無い 中 、 あまりに も 増えて いって も 猫 に も 良く 無い ん じゃ 無い か なって 心配に なる レベル で その 町 は 野良 猫 多くて 。

ちなみに 、野良犬 も 多かった んです よ 。

だから 運転 を ね 常に 気 を つけ ない と 、野良 猫 野良犬 たち が ウロウロ してる ので 、危ない んです よ 。

でも たまに 、野良犬 達 が グループ で 道路 渡ったり してて 、それ が 親子 とか じゃない んです よ 。 どう 見て も 。 犬 種 の 全く 違う チワワ みたいな の と 芝犬 みたいな の と 、ダックスフンド みたいな の が 3 匹 で チョロチョロチョロ って 一緒に 歩いてて 、 あら 、みんな で 遊んでる の ？ どこ か に お出かけ です か ？ って 感じ で 。

アニメ の 世界 の 中 の 犬達 。 みたいな 。

見て る 分 に は 可愛い です けど ね 、やっぱり 道路 に 飛び出したり する と 危ない です から ね 。

そう そう 、その 町 で は ね 、野良 ニワトリ も 見た こと あります 。 すごい でしょ 。

自由 の 町 でした ね 。 あそこ は 。

そう 、クロチ と の 出会い の 話 でした 。

クロチ は ね 、これ また 明け方 に です ね ミャーミャー 鳴いている 声 が 外 から 聞こえてきて 、最初 は うち の 夫 だけ で 見に いったん です が 見つからなくて 、でも まだ 声 は 微かに 聞こえる って こと で 、 私 も 一緒に 探し 始めた んです けど 、それ でも 全然 見つからない んです よ 。

だけど 鳴き声 は ずっと 聞こえて て 。

どこ に いた と 思います ？ これ ね 日本 でも 冬 に 問題 に なってるって 昔 聞いた こと あります けど 、 当時 うち の 旦那 さん が 乗って いた 車 の ボンネット の 中 に いた の 。 エンジン と か が 入って いる あたり 。 たぶん 暖かかった んでしょう ね 、

車 の 下 の 隙間 から 入った みたいだった んです けど 、最初 は 、ほら クロチ って さっき お 話した 通り 黒 猫 な ので 、 夫 が その ボンネット も ね 、一度 開けて 中 を 見た らしい んです けど 黒くて 全然 見えなくて 、ここ じゃない なあ なんて 言って 一度 離れた んです けど 、

やっぱり 鳴き声 が 近く から 聞こえる と 思って もう 1回 ボンネット の 中 探して みようって 言って 開けたら ね 見つけた んです よ 。 ほん と 真っ黒 だ か 目 が 開いて れば 、ちょっだけ キラ ！ って 光って わかるって レベル でした 。 今 思い返せば 、気づいて あげて 良かった な と 思います 。 気づか ずに エンジン かけたり ね 車 を 走らせたり してたらって 思う と 、怖い です よね 。 クロチ は 、保護 した 時 は まだ すごく 小さくて 、生まれて から 2 週間 ぐらい だった んです よ 。

本当 手 の 平 に 乗っちゃう くらい でした 。 ちっちゃ かった なぁ 。

そして まだ 顔 も ね 、猫って いう より は 、しっかり と 猫の 顔 に なる 手前 って 感じの 、「子熊 が おる 。 子 熊 が おった ぁ 。」 みたいな 感じ でした 。

懐かしい なぁ 。

2 人 は ね 、あ 、猫 です けど 、もう 我が家 で は 2 人 って 呼んじゃってます が 、 2人 は ね 、 全然 性格 が 違って 、 特別 仲 が い いって わけで は ない ん です けど 、 だからといって めっちゃ 仲 が 悪くて 心配って こ ともない です 。 毎日 の ように 追いかけっこ して たり レスリング して たり します が 、それ が 本当に 喧嘩 してる の か 遊んでる の か が 謎 です けど 、 日中 も 夜 も 寝る の は 別々 の 所 で 寝てます が 、 たま ー に 一緒に 丸まって 寝てる ん です よ ね 。

そう 、だから 仲 が 悪い わけで は ない と 思う んです よ 。 インデペンデント な んです ね 。 きっと 。

一緒に 仲 良さそうに 寝てる の を 見る と 、お母さん は ね 、嬉しくって 嬉しくって 。 「 あら ー 、 一緒に 寝てる の ー 。 可愛い ねぇ 。」 って ニヤニヤ しちゃ います 。 2 人 の 特徴 です けど 、

ニャンチ は 、とりあえず 食いしん坊 です 。 とにかく 食 に 対する 熱量 が 半端 なくて 、いつでも 食べたい し 、目の前 に ある もの は 全部 食べたい んです よ 。 これ ね 、旦那さん と も 話してる んですけど 、ニャンチ は 生まれて から 2 ヶ月 くらい で 我が家 に 来た んですけど 、痩せ細ってた の から も わかる ように 、野良猫 で 1人 で ひもじい 思い を していた 期間 が ね あった んです よ 。 きっと 。

だから もう 何 年 も 食べ物 に 困らない 我が家 に います けど 、未だに そういう 過去 の 記憶 が 染み付いてて 、本能的に 食べ物 に 貪欲に なっちゃう んでしょうね 。 今 食べ とか ない と 、次 いつ 食べられる か わからない ！ みたいな 。

そう 、だ から あげたら あげた 分 全部 食べちゃう んです よ 。 な ので 、よく ドライフード を 山盛り に お皿 に 入れて おいて 、猫ちゃん 達 が 食べたい 時 に 食べる 。 みたいな システム の お家 が あります が 、 我が家 は それ でき ない の 。

ニャンチ が 限界 まで 食べちゃ うんで 。
