Лисиця десь м’ясця дістала.
The fox got some meat somewhere.
Тихесенько прибігла під стіжок —
Ум’яла більшенький шматок,
А менший у сінце сховала
На другий раз, бо нужду знала;
Сама ж спочити прилягла…
Воно годиться, попоївши;
Не молода-таки й була,
Натомиться, всю ніч ходивши…
Аж ось — у гості Вовк біжить.
