In Italia, da qualche giorno, è obbligatorio indossare le mascherine per strada

e oggi io ed Erika volevamo andare a Torino

un po' per vedere se le persone lo fanno e in generale per capire un po' e farvi vedere qual'è la situazione Covid in Italia o a Torino. Sì, può essere interessante documentare la situazione attuale,

dato che in realtà, fino a pochi giorni fa, uscendo per strada sembrava tutto abbastanza normale, dato che all'aperto non era obbligatorio tenere le mascherine. E adesso invece sì, quindi andiamo a vedere un po' com'è Torino centro. Ovviamente sarebbe ipocrita, da parte mia, se non prendessi questa! Ecco, la mia prima impressione comunque, in questi giorni, è che secondo me si vedono più persone in giro con le mascherine. Non so se anche a te sembra?

Bè... Sì, ma comunque diciamo la minaccia delle sanzioni fa sempre il suo effetto, comunque. Poi ci sono anche... Cioè, sicuramente persone ragionevoli che capiscono le motivazioni anche di questa cosa. Però vedremo come sarà a Torino perché, vi ricordo, io abito in provincia,

quindi potrebbe essere un po' diversa la situazione.

Il primo luogo dove....

Il primo luogo che visiteremo sarà la metropolitana che ovviamente è un luogo dove è obbligatorio indossare la mascherina. Quindi mi aspetto che tutti ce l'abbiano. Andiamo! A Torino è arrivato il futuro, ragazzi!

So che in altri paesi questa tecnologia esiste da diversi anni,

ma a Torino ci prendiamo le cose con calma! Ovviamente le misure precauzionali che vedete adottate nella metropolitana,

o in generale sui mezzi pubblici ma anche nei negozi, supermercati e via dicendo,

non sono nuove, sono in vigore già da Maggio.

Ma dato che non ve le avevo ancora mostrate in un video, ve le faccio vedere oggi. Tra l'altro, a chi interessano le cose su Torino, si dice che questa statua raffiguri Lucifero in persona, che sia uno dei centri della magia nera di Torino. Si dice che Torino abbia una forte presenza di magia nera... Cose del genere.

In metro le cose andavano abbastanza bene devo dire, a parte un paio di persone che non avevano la mascherina all'inizio. Poi se la sono messa.

In giro le cose sono un po'... un po' peggio, vanno un po' peggio

perché ci sono almeno il 30% delle persone che non hanno la mascherina,

anche se comunque sono sicuramente più le persone che ce l'hanno secondo me, no?

Sicuramente più rispetto a qualche giorno fa.

Attualmente la norma prevede una multa che va dai 400 ai 1000 Euro per chi non dovesse indossare la mascherina. Sicuramente è un deterrente forte per tante persone che magari prima non la mettevano mai, la mascherina.

Come noi!

Ora siamo venuti a vedere qual'è la situazione al cosiddetto "Gran Balon", che è un famoso mercato delle pulci di Torino. Molto, molto frequentato. Vedremo se sarà forse anche troppo frequentato.

Già che ci sono vi dico due parole su questo Balon. Si tratta di uno storico mercato delle pulci, cioè un mercato dove si vendono oggetti usati, solitamente cianfrusaglie di poco valore. Balon in piemontese significa “pallone” e ci sono varie ipotesi sull'origine del nome.

Una teoria lo riconduce al nome medievale latino della zona, “burgum ad pillonos”,

“borgo dei piloni”, che si riferiva probabilmente a dei piloni in pietra che reggevano un vecchio ponte romano sul vicino fiume Dora. Ci troviamo infatti nel rione storico di Borgo Dora,

che in passato si chiamava “borgo del pallone” (in piemontese Borgh dël Balon),

e non “dei piloni”.

Questo forse perché in latino “pila” significa sia “pilone” che “palla”, e questo ha portato a una curiosa interpretazione popolare.

Il Balon ha luogo ogni sabato dal 1857 lungo le vie di Borgo Dora e di fatto si unisce al vicino mercato alimentare di Porta Palazzo. Dal 1985, inoltre, ha luogo ogni seconda domenica del mese (come il giorno in cui siamo andati noi)

il Gran Balon, cioè un'edizione speciale, più grande, alla quale partecipano più di 300 espositori, ma anche 50 negozi e numerosi bar e ristoranti. Come vedete si vende un po' di tutto: oggetti di antiquariato, di collezionismo, vintage, mobili,

libri, prodotti di artigianato, ceramiche e molto altro. È un evento molto caratteristico e vivace, così come lo è il rione Borgo Dora, con il suo aspetto tipicamente, se vogliamo, "italiano". Qui troviamo stradine tortuose e strette, non così comuni per Torino, con i suoi corsi larghi e spaziosi e la sua pianta perpendicolare. Se passate da Torino potrebbe interessarvi visitarlo:

il Balon normale il sabato e il Gran Balon la seconda domenica del mese.

Non so te Erika... A me sembrava che ci fosse molta, molta gente. Non ero molto a mio agio in quella folla. È anche vero che tutti avevano... Quasi tutti avevano le mascherine.

Sì, nel senso... Le persone che ho visto senza mascherine, effettivamente erano in luoghi non molto affollati. Sì

Però comunque ce n'erano più del dovuto. Esattamente.

Questa invece è Porta Palazzo, che ospita il famoso mercato di Porta Palazzo,

un mercato normale, non delle pulci come quello che abbiamo visto. Adesso il mercato non c'è, però normalmente quando c'è qui che molta, molta gente.

Ora andiamo invece in questo luogo, il Mercato Centrale che è di recente costruzione,

un luogo dove poter provare vari cibi, un luogo dedicato alla gastronomia. Il Mercato Centrale, inaugurato nel 2019, è un centro gastronomico al cui interno sono ospitate 26 botteghe. Ogni bottega è dedicata ad un prodotto diverso. C'è un po' di tutto: dal pane alla pizza,

dalla carne piemontese a quella toscana, dal gelato al cioccolato, dal vino al caffè. Si tratta di prodotti di qualità, preparati con le migliori materie prime. Come potrete capire, quindi, non costa poco, ma vale la pena perlomeno di venire a dare un'occhiata. - Ciao! - Ciao, due Spritz!

- Devi fare lo scontrino alla cassa.

- Come paghi, carta...?

- Pago con la carta, sì!

Questo è il Quadrilatero. Il Quadrilatero sarebbe il "Quadrilatero Romano",

una zona che non vi ho mai fatto vedere nei video, credo. Una zona molto simpatica, molto caratteristica e anche molto frequentata dai giovani, piena di locali e posti interessanti.

E qui siamo nella famosa Via Garibaldi, la via dello shopping dei torinesi. Anche qui vediamo c'è un po' di gente, devo dire la maggior parte ha la mascherina.

Se la qualità è peggiorata, è perché sono passato al telefono. La batteria della macchina fotografica si è scaricata. Volevo ancora chiedere una cosa a Erika, ovvero se ora che la situazione sta peggiorando, ti senti preoccupata, quali sono le tue sensazioni. Mah, un pochino... Un pochino sì, perché comunque un altro lockdown sarebbe molto difficile da sopportare per l'economia, penso per qualunque azienda, compresa la mia. Quindi, diciamo, non vorrei provare sulla mia pelle. E poi comunque non so... L'idea di stare nuovamente chiusi in casa è dura, nonostante io non abbia passato male il primo lockdown. Su queste note di incertezza noi vi salutiamo da una bellissima Torino, sempre bellissima Torino di sera.
