Filming with the #1 Travel Youtuber in Costa Rica
“You need to check out Araya Vlogs,” our Uber driver in Costa Rica told us, “there you will find all the cool places to visit when you're here.” Well, I did more than that. I actually contacted Araya himself. I knew it was a shot in the dark because I had no idea where he was or if he would even read my message. “I'm in your country, and I would love to do a youtube collaboration if you are interested,” I wrote. He responded a couple of days later, “Sure, Camille, let's try to make it happen.” I honestly didn't know if it would pan out. I tried not to get my hopes up, but we kept in touch. It turns out he was going to be filming only an hour from where we were staying, so we packed up our cameras and kids and we took the trip to Playa Tamarindo. Araya met us there with his cousin Santiago and we filmed for hours, trying all the most popular foods of Costa Rica like Gallo Pinto, Casado, orejas. It was a bit crazy filming because we had our 3 kids, but it was also so fun and by the end of the day, I felt so satisfied and thankful. Looking back it was one of my favorite days in Costa Rica and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have created content with another Youtuber and to have learned from him. I learned that it's always worth reaching out to someone because you never know when they might just say yes! Thanks Araya!
