這個新 podcast 叫做《來句中文 Lychee Mandarin》

我每一集會從台灣的新聞裡面挑出一個句子來跟你們解釋那個句子的意思。

我希望藉由這樣的方式可以讓你們了解一些台灣正在發生的時事，從中學一點中文，

然後希望這樣也可以幫助你們慢慢看懂中文的新聞。

今天我想跟你們更新一下我的近況。

我在澳洲已經兩個禮拜了，我是來參加婚禮的。

婚禮當然進行得很順利，新郎跟新娘都看起來很開心，

然後我也哭了好幾次。

新郎講誓言的時候我哭了一次，

新娘講誓言的時候我又哭了一次。

我可能是喝太多香檳了吧！

那我這次來澳洲，我是來到一個叫做荷巴特的城市，

它是塔斯馬尼亞州最大的城市。

塔斯馬尼亞大概在墨爾本的正下方，

是澳洲最南邊的一個小島，

我那天看了一下地圖發現它離南極超近的！

我剛剛說它是澳洲南邊的小島，

其實它一點都不小，

它大概比台灣大兩倍。

澳洲真的是什麼都大，但就是人很少。

台灣的人口大概是 2300 萬，

澳洲的人口大概是 2500 萬，

那塔斯馬尼亞這個島呢，它的人口只有 50 萬。

這個比台灣大兩倍的島只有 50 幾萬人，

但是台灣這個小島卻擠了 2300 萬人，

你看得出這個差距嗎？

所以我一來到這個地方就覺得：

「欸？人呢？」

相比之下，台灣真的擁擠很多，

感覺到處人都很多，

到處都是高樓大廈，

到處都很忙碌。

而且台灣很多地方都是商業區跟住宅區混合的，

我們也可以說台灣很多地方都是「住商混合」的。

商業區就是大家做生意的地方、

大家上班會去的地方、

或是大家逛街會去的地方，

這些有商店、有辦公室的地方就是商業區。

那住宅區呢主要是人住的地方。

我看美國電影的時候常常看到裡面的人住的地方是在郊區。

郊區就是離城市有一段距離的地方，

然後郊區基本上是住宅區比較多，

都是人住的地方，

所以它的商店或是辦公室會比較少一點。

那美國電影裡面很多人都是住在郊區，

住的房子都是獨棟的、

基本上都是一個家庭一間，

然後可能買東西還要開車去超市，

一次都要買一堆食物回家，

然後上班也是要開車去城市裡面上班。

所以我對美國的印象是住宅區跟商業區的分界會很明顯。

但是像台灣的話很多地方是住商混合的。

像我住在台北嘛，

我家樓下就有一間火鍋店，

對面是一間酒吧，

然後沒走幾步路就有一間早餐店，

再來就是一家便利商店，

然後這些商店或是餐廳基本上都是在一樓，

二樓三樓之類的都是住宅、都有人住，

這就是住商混合的感覺。

那像澳洲，

至少像我這次來的荷巴特，

這裡也是住宅區跟商業區分開。

我在住宅區待了兩個禮拜覺得這裡好安靜而且空間好大喔！

這裡基本上也是一個家庭一間獨棟的房子，

沒有很多公寓，

然後這些房子基本上是兩層樓，

有餐廳、客廳、兩到三個臥房，

臥房就是你睡覺的房間，

然後有室外的陽台，還有前院跟後院。

我住在這裡兩個禮拜之後覺得這裡好適合遠端工作喔！

就是好適合在家工作喔！

像我之前在東京跟台北，

如果要跟另外一個人遠端上班的話，

會覺得很不自在，

比如說開會的時候就會很害怕吵到另外一個人，

因為房間很小，

房子的隔間也不多、

就是房子裡面分開的房間不多。

但是像在荷巴特，

因為房子的隔間很多，

所以如果有很多人要在家工作的話就可以一人一間、

各自在各自的房間做事。

然後工作累了想要透透氣、

想要休息一下，

也可以到陽台或是後院耍廢一下。

而且荷巴特的風景真的是很漂亮，

所以我覺得這裡根本是遠端工作的最佳地點、

就是在家工作最棒的地點。

而且到了晚上荷巴特的星星真的是超級多的，

對於我這種住在台北這個大城市的人，

真的沒看過這麼多星星。

然後我想來分享一下，

我這次來到澳洲之後發現我的英文好像變爛了。

我來澳洲之前我對我的英文還滿有自信的，

我覺得我的英文還算不錯。

但是我來澳洲之後發現這裡的人講話我都聽不懂。

除了澳洲人特別的發音，

除了他們美麗的澳洲腔之外，

他們用的字有些都跟我一直以來學的不一樣。

像是我就聽到有人說 chooks ，

我就聽不懂他在說什麼，

我後來才發現是 chickens 、雞的意思。

然後這裡說晚餐不是 dinner，他們說 tea ，

就是茶的那個 tea。

然後我說 tomatoes 的時候還被笑，

因為他們這裡不說 tomatoes 他們說 tomatoes 。

總之，我來澳洲又再一次體會到學語言這件事真的沒有停下來的一天，

不管我英文學得再久都還是有好多不知道的事情。

應該說我每天都會學到新的事情，

這樣其實也滿有趣的。

所以如果你在學中文的時候覺得你平常什麼都聽得懂，

但是不知道為什麼跟另外一個人講話的時候就什麼都聽不懂。

這時候不代表你的中文不好，

這代表你不熟悉他的腔調，或者是他講話的方式。

所以這裡我覺得學語言很重要的一點是你要多聽不同人講話。

如果你現在只聽一個 podcast 的話，我建議你去多聽幾個，

多去熟悉不同人講話的方式、

還有他們的腔調、甚至是他們的用字，

我覺得這樣對你學中文會更好。

我接下來也想找一些澳洲的 podcast 來聽，

因為我平常看的電視幾乎都是美國的，

美國腔對我來說很容易聽得懂，

所以我接下來想加強我的澳洲腔。
