Formering av frågor

Yes/No Questions:

To form a yes/no question, the structure remains the same as a statement, with a rising intonation or adding ਕੀ (ki) at the beginning.

• Do you eat food? → ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਖਾਣਾ ਖਾਂਦੇ ਹੋ? (Ki tusin khana khande ho?).

WH-Questions:

Punjabi uses specific words for WH-questions. These usually appear at the start of the sentence.

Exempel på detta:

• What is your name? → ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਕੀ ਹੈ? (Tuhada naam ki hai?).
• Where do you live? → ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ? (Tusin kitthe rehnde ho?).
