1 And when he had come down from the mountain, many crowds followed him: 2 And behold, a leper came, worshiping him, saying: Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.

3 And Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, saying: I will: be clean.
He stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, "I will do it. Be made clean.
Et confestim mundata est lepra ejus.
|immediately|cleansed||leprosy|
And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4 And Jesus said to him: See that you tell no one; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them.
Then Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses prescribed; that will be proof for them.

5 And when he had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, requesting him, 6 and saying: Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, and is terribly tormented.
|||||I will come||I will heal|
7 And Jesus said to him: I will come and heal him.

8 And the centurion answering said: Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof: but only say the word, and my boy will be healed.

9 For I also am a man set under authority, having soldiers under me; and I say to this one: Go, and he goes; and to another: Come, and he comes; and to my servant: Do this, and he does it.
|||amazed|||following ones|||||to you||I have found|such great|faith||
10 And when Jesus heard this, he marveled, and said to those who followed him: Amen, I say to you, I have not found such faith in Israel.

11 But I say to you that many will come from the east and west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven; 12 but the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness: there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
|||centurion||||you have believed||
13 And Jesus said to the centurion: Go, and as you have believed, let it be done for you.

And the boy was healed at that hour.

14 And when Jesus had come into Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever: 15 and he touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she arose and served them.

16 And when the evening was done, they presented to him many who had demons: and he cast out the spirits with a word, and he healed all who were ill: 17 that it might be fulfilled which was said through the prophet Isaiah, saying: He took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.

18 But when Jesus saw many crowds around him, he ordered to go across the sea.

20 And Jesus said to him, 'Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.'
|||the disciples|||||permit|||||to bury||
21 Another of his disciples said to him: Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.
22 Jesus autem ait illi : Sequere me, et dimitte mortuos sepelire mortuos suos.
||||follow||||the dead|||
22 But Jesus said to him: Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.

23 And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him: 24 and behold, a great storm arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with waves: but he was asleep.

25 And they came to him and woke him, saying: Lord, save us; we are perishing.
|||||timid ones||of little faith|
26 And Jesus said to them: Why are you timid, you of little faith?

Then he arose and ordered the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

The men were amazed and said, "What sort of man is this, whom even the winds and the sea obey?"

29 And behold, they cried out, saying: What have we to do with you, Jesus, Son of God?

31 And the demons begged him, saying: If you drive us out of here, throw us into the herd of swine.
32 And he said to them: Go.

But when they came out, they went to the pigs, and behold, the whole herd suddenly went over the precipice into the sea, and they died in the water.
